Just to keep you in the loop on what has been going on in my life these last two weeks.
That is right really NOTHING. I am so blessed to be here and just relaxing and reading and knowing that He is right along side me as I write this.
People I know a lot of you out there can't understand what I do at the ALC. I am a missionary and this is a thing that God has put on my heart now for 4 1/2 years. I believe this time I have been resting in His arms. He has giving me His peace and joy. I have been having some trouble with this before I got here. You know just doing this and that. I honesty believe He is putting new life into me while I am here. I look at how the folks here deal with troubles. Plus they are helping each other out each day. I am so blessed to see His compassion.
If you have been checking on what has been going on here, you can see I have not really left this place much. I have been walking with a guy named Henry, before the cold weather came in. Then I have been to Walmart two times. Then last Sunday I went to the Hall. Today we will be having church here. I will write about this later on today or night. The roads are still some what rough shape. Plus I know the bus will not be running today for church that is why it will take place here.

I just wanted to say hello.
Yes folks it has been many years since I have seen this ting called snow. I can tell you this I had a honour to shovel for about 2 hours. Boy I didn't remember how heavy it was. Plus after I did that I came back to my place and got into the shower. Oh my, my feet were hit by the warm water and boy what a pain started to arch. I think I got some froze bit. I dried them off and just rubbed them for a long time trying to get the blood to flow. I looked at them and prayer right away. They were turning black and blue. I just kept rubbing them. The color did come back. But I must have turned in a guy that use to work out in the snow now I am a wimp. I can tell you this I thank my Lord very much for their recover.
The folks are all pretty much staying in their homes. But at 1 pm some came out for lunch. Now they all told me bye for now, back to their places. I looked out and really there is no traffic at all out there. The roads have about 3 in on them. There is no machines to clean the roads. So people stay home and just enjoy their time with family and friends.

I just got word that we are looking for some snow?????
That is right while here in North Caroline I went on line and saw that there is a snow warning happening this night. It starts at 6 pm tonight until Saturday night at 6 pm. Everyone around is joking around about how this city shut down when there is just a dusting of snow. They say that there is no machines to clean it off the roads. So instead of going out and having trouble, every one stay home and just chills. Oh one more thing, I was told that last night there would a run on the stores to get bread and milk and things that might need durng this time. I did go shopping yesterday but I didn't know about the snow ting. I know He is here and He will be right along side us as we go through this time of staying home and asking Him and even seeking Him more as the time goes by.
I do have another request. If you have been looking at my blog lately you would know that I have been here to seek God's way in my life and what He has planned out for my future, about a woman that He has put into my life. So we have been talking about why I have been divorced two times and if they are still on this earth or not?
I got in touch with Carmelita's daughter last night, Paula. Now I am looking for my first wife. Cheryl Ann Suchy Schafer, maybe she has gotten married too. I have gone to face book and web pages and pretty much sites that have information of people. Just can't find her at this time. If you might know her, please email me at toms@alcbahamas.org

This is another short story
If you see the pictures below. The women all have a covering on their heads. The reason is in the Book of 1 Corinthians 11:7 to 13. This talks of how a man came first and then a woman. Then it speaks of how a man is not suppose to wear covering on his head. Even talks about men with long hair. Goes to say, women are to have covering during their time of prayer. I have heard this from Pastor Lee back at Calvary Bible. I even know of women at Calvary believe this too. So I really see God's hand on this place and His presents.
I have not been able to get on my e mails still. I have talked with a guy named Mike, from Calvary FTl. and he told me that he will look into it and see what the problem is.
I thank each and every one out there that has kept me in prayer. I have been hearing more and more form Him each day and it sure is good to be still and know He is God. Psalm 46:10.

Happy Lord's Day
Yes it is Sunday morning. I have a chance to check out a church that pretty much every one goes to.(Here) I will write about it later on.
I have a prayer request, it might sound selfless but I would like to get into my e mail account. I have called different people and ask them how I can get into this site.
Here is the site. I have been told about.
Mail.calvaryftl.org
mail02.calvaryftl.org
mail.calvaryftl.org.
I have tried them all. Please call me if you might know another way of getting into it. This is my only way to talk with the world and it has been four days. I know I am here to rest and just chill. BUT I still want to talk with my brothers and sisters.
My cell number 1-954-655-2057. My phone will be off between. 9:00am to 1:00pm. You can leave me a message I think. Oh that is right my message has not been chanced. I am here in North Caroline. Thank you

Hey I got another story to share.
Like you will see under this one. I was telling you about my day. Marie and I went for a drive today. We took the check book back to the right bank. Then I had a part to take back for Billy Slater. A bearing he bought while here during the fall time. While driving I was asking Marie about a thrift store or something like that. She told me that she thought JC Penny's had a big clothes sale going on. We went and she was so correct. They were having 75% off all their winter clothes. I saw a couple of things and then, Marie said look here, i came over. A down filled vest. that was what I told I was looking for. This vest sold for $100.00,(I think) The tag on it was all ready marked down to $69.00. I got to the register and the girl tells me with tax in all. $9.73. I told her SOLD. She was a very freinding and seem to really enjoy her job there. I told her how good my Jesus is and she agree. We came back I took a nap and I have been playing on this new computer since 5 pm. I got a thing call Magic Jack too. This cost $39.99 plus tax. I hooked it up and now I can call Bahamas for $.09 a minute. What a great saving. I know when I use my phone to call over there it is like $.65 a minute. Thank you Lord for this and now I can call my friend Olivia. I did call her and used up 1 hour all ready. You get 444 minutes for $40.00. I told about my day she too told me what happen in her life. I am so blessed to have her and now this Magic Jack to talk with her.
Good night all.
This is the way Bahamians say, good evening. It was funny when I first went to church on Sunday night, one of the pastor. He came up to the pulpit. While he talking, he said Good night all. I looked around and thought what did I miss? I sat there and listen to him. I was not sure what just happen. I stayed and then at the end he said it again. Good Night all.
Just a quite story, today I went for a walk. During that time I really enjoy the time. I made a couple of phone calls. The frist one of Olivia and Bill Romeo was the secound. During my call to Bill. I noticed a check book in the road. I stopped and picked it up. I open it up and the first thing I saw was this. Lazar Learning Center. That was what the check was made out to. I just laughed and said YES Lord I am going back to The Adventure Learning Centre. I told Bill and he laughed too. Like I have been telling you about how God speaks to us each and every day we walk this earth. It took me just a couple of days to relax and now I hear Him through my day. I think I told you about yesterday? Mark 6:23 to 33? The verse tells of Jesus telling His men to go and rest. This was right after they did all kinds of help and healing. So look now God is telling me to rest here. I am so blessed to know Him and understand when He speaks. You might be thinking sure God speaks to Tom????? I am sorry if you think different, I know He does. Be still and Know I Am God. Psalms 46:10

The terms that Bahamains say. I have reached
If is so funny after I have came into this place, I have seen my God over and over again. I flew in on Wednesday the 20th. Billy mother in law picked me up. Her name is Marie. I was walking towards the bag clam and heard, Tom and again Tom. I looked up and saw her. She came walking over to me and said welcome. Then she ask me why I didn't answer her right away? I was just thinking about calling someone. You can in mange who I am talking about? Okay we reached the office here and meet Richard Todd and other people. I felt so welcomed and even saw their love for each other. Richard just told me somethings about what was going on. Then he told me that he would not ask for my help with anything, until I was ready to.
I got into my real nice apartment, two bedroom with two baths. I can tell you this, I am in heaven and I have not died.
That night I meet a lot of great people. I was welcomed and we all sang songs to the Lord. Then prayed and ate some good food. Then after that we just sat down and I heard people's stories. It is time for our devotion right now. So I need to get going.

If you look below I am taking time off.
I been talking about doing something like this before, but never did it. Let me go back a month or more. Billy Slater, friend of mine here. We were talking one day and I was sharing about all the things that I have been dealing with for these last few years. Well Billy told me about how he needed some time away with the Lord. He just took a week off and seek His face. If any one out there knows me, I have taken vacations, for a week or two. During those times, I was always trying to raise funds and go to different people's home to share about what I do here at the Adventure Learning Centre. So I really never have taken time to just chill and seek God's face for His peace and rest. So after talking with Billy, I just started to pray about what and where to go. Billy's mother in law lives at this place and I know Billy and his family have stayed there too. So I had a place to check out. I wrote to Richard and he wrote back and he even called me and we talked about what I can do there and pretty much what will happen while there. I did e mail Pastor Ed up in New York, but that, I have not heard any more on. So I believe this is the place for me and this Wednesday coming I fly out. I will try to keep you all in the loop by this blog. Plus if any one wants to e mail me, that would be great too.

Saying Grace in the restaurant.
Last week, I took my children to a restaurant.
My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace.
As we bowed our heads he said, 'God is good, God is great. Thank you for the food , and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream for dessert. And Liberty and justice for all! Amen!'
Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby, I heard a woman remark, 'That's what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't even know how to p ray. Asking God for ice cream! Why, I never!'
Hearing this, my son burst into tears and asked me, 'Did I do it wrong? Is God mad at me?'
As I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job, and God was certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table. He winked at my son and said, 'I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer.'
'Really?' my son asked.
'Cross my heart,' the man replied.
Then, in a theatrical whisper, he added (indicating the woman whose remark had started this whole thing), 'Too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes.'
Naturally, I bought my kids ice cream at the end of the meal. My son stared at his for a moment, and then did something I will remember the rest of my life.
He picked up his sundae and, without a word, walked over and placed it in front of the woman. With a big smile he told her, 'Here, this is for you. Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes; and my soul is good already.'

You reap what you sow. Please take the time to read this.
The man slowly looked up. This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer things of life. Her coat was new.. She looked like she had never missed a meal in her life. His first thought was that she wanted to make fun of him, like so many others had done before.
"Leave me alone," he growled... To his amazement, the woman continued standing. She was smiling -- her even white teeth displayed in dazzling rows.
"Are you hungry?" she asked."No," he answered sarcastically. "I've just come from dining with the president.. Now go away."
The woman's smile became even broader. Suddenly the man felt a gentle hand under his arm. "What are you doing, lady?" the man asked angrily. "I said to leave me alone.Just then a policeman came up. "Is there any problem, ma'am?" he asked..
"No problem here, officer," the woman answered. "I'm just trying to get this man to his feet. Will you help me?"
The officer scratched his head. "That's old Jack... He's been a fixture around here for a couple of years. What do you want with him?""See that cafeteria over there?" she asked. "I'm going to get him something to eat and get him out of the cold for awhile."
"Are you crazy, lady?" the homeless man resisted. "I don't want to go in there!" Then he felt strong hands grab his other arm and lift him up."Let me go, officer. I didn't do anything..."
"This is a good deal for you, Jack," the officer answered. "Don't blow it." Finally, and with some difficulty, the woman and the police officer got Jack into the cafeteria and sat him at a table in a remote corner. It was the middle of the morning, so most of the breakfast crowd had already left and the lunch bunch had not yet arrived.
The manager strode across the cafeteria and stood by his table. "What's going on here, officer?" he asked."What is all this, is this man in trouble?"
"This lady brought this man in here to be fed," the policeman answered.
"Not in here!" the manager replied angrily. "Having a person like that here is bad for business."Old Jack smiled a toothless grin. "See, lady. I told you so. Now if you'll let me go. I didn't want to come here in the first place"
The woman turned to the cafeteria manager and smiled. "Sir, are you familiar with Eddy andAssociates, the banking firm down the street?" "Of course I am," the manager answered impatiently. "They hold their weekly meetings in one of my banquet rooms."
"And do you make a goodly amount of money providing food at these weekly meetings?"
"What business is that of yours?"
I, sir, am Penelope Eddy, president and CEO of the company.""Oh.."
The woman smiled again.. "I thought that might make a difference."She glanced at the cop who was busy stifling a laugh. "Would you like to join us in a cup of coffee and a meal, officer?"
"No thanks, ma'am," the officer replied. "I'm on duty.""Then, perhaps, a cup of coffee to go?"
"Yes, ma'am. That would be very nice."The cafeteria manager turned on his heel. "I'll get your coffee for you right away, officer."
The officer watched him walk away. "You certainly put him in his place," he said."That was not my intent... Believe it or not, I have a reason for all this."
She sat down at the table across from her amazed dinner guest. She stared at him intently.
"Jack, do you remember me?"
Old Jack searched her face with his old, rheumy eyes. "I think so -- I mean you do look familiar."
"I'm a little older perhaps," she said. "Maybe I've even filled out more than in my younger days when you worked here, and I came through that very door, cold and hungry.""Ma'am?" the officer said questioningly. He couldn't believe that such a magnificently turned out woman could ever have been hungry.
"I was just out of college," the woman began. "I had come to the city looking for a job, but I couldn't find anything. Finally I was down to my last few cents and had been kicked out of my apartment.. I walked the streets for days. It was February and I was cold and nearly starving. I saw this place and walked in on the off chance that I could get something to eat."Jack lit up with a smile. "Now I remember," he said. "I was behind the serving counter. You came up and asked me if you could work for something to eat. I said that it was against company policy."
"I know," the woman continued. "Then you made me the biggest roast beef sandwich that I had ever seen, gave me a cup of coffee, and told me to go over to a corner table and enjoy it. I was afraid that you would get into trouble. Then, when I looked over and saw you put the price of my food in the cash register, I knew then that everything would be all right."
"So you started your own business?" Old Jack said."I got a job that very afternoon. I worked my way up. Eventually I started my own business that, with the help of God, prospered.." She opened her purse and pulled out a business card. "When you are finished here, I want you to pay a visit to a Mr. Lyons. He's the personnel director of my company. I'll go talk to him now and I'm certain he'll find something for you to do around the office."
She smiled. "I think he might even find the funds to give you a little advance so that you can buy some clothes and get a place to live until you get on your feet. If you ever need anything, my door is always open to you."
There were tears in the old man's eyes. "How can I ever thank you?" he asked."Don't thank me," the woman answered. "To God goes the glory. He led me to you."
Outside the cafeteria, the officer and the woman paused at the entrance before going their separate ways.. "Thank you for all your help, officer," she said.
>"On the contrary, Ms. Eddy," he answered. "Thank you. I saw a miracle today, something that I will never forget. And..And thank you for the coffee."
Have a Wonderful Day. May God Bless You Always and don't forget that when you "cast your bread upon the waters," you never know how it will be returned to you. God is so big He can cover the whole world with his Love and so small He can curl up inside your heart.
When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go.
Only 1 of 2 things will happen, either He'll catch you when you fall, or He'll teach you how to fly!
God closes doors no man can open & God opens doors no man can close..If you need God to open some doors for you....send this on.
Have a blessed day and remember to be a blessing... Merry Christmas and may God bless you.

Happy NEW Monday.
I know most people are going back to their jobs and schools. My question is what happen since before Christmas to today? Have you changed your heart towards HIM (Jesus Christ) ? The reason I ask is, nothing will change in your job or school or what ever you do. Now I have talked with a lot of people about how God has done this and that in their lives during this season. Now my question is, have you changed? What I am trying to say is you can do this and that, to try to change things that will happen. Now let Him do the changing in your life. We all look forward to this year to be better than last year. But you know as well as I do, it might or it might not. We can say we are going to do more work outs, eat less food. Lose weight. You know what I am trying to say. Now I have something for all of us to do. SEEK HIM (Jesus Christ) Then I believe things will change for you. Inside of us we all have plans and things to do. But if you are trying to do this in your own strength you will fail.
I hear a message yesterday from a guy named Brad, at Calvary Bible. He was talking about how when Noah was on the ark. He didn't see any land during those days during the flood. Just think about it. Noah really didn't have any thing to look at. He knew God was there, but Noah himself didn't see God. So when Noah saw the pikes of the mountains. He had hope and some thing to look towards.
It is like our lives, we will go through valleys (bad things) But if we seek Him at all times, we will have hope. My message for us this new year is Matthew 6:33.
I will not write I all out. But when you get a chance, PLEASE read this. I believe during your times of valleys, you can have comfort in Him.
