Yes we are OKAY AFTER HURRICANE SANDY

There are some trees down, but over all really no problems. The telephone pole you see here is our electric that comes into the ALC has two blown fuses. We have called many times to get it fixed.We plan on having students in on Monday morning. 
All the animals did good and look great today.
You know how much these animals are so much part of our ministry here. I think it is the neatness part of what we do here.
Today Saturday we as staff will be going around cleaning up all the stuff that is laying around.
At this time I just want to say thank you so much for your prayers. Just knowing that is such a encouragement.
Please say a prayer or two for the other islands. I have a good friend of mine is on Long Island since last Monday. He just moved there he then had to deal with this storm. I have not heard back from him yet. But I know he is on duty now until Long Island is back in order. He is a police officer. .

Good morning ALL IS WELL HERE AT THE ALC.

Hey yesterday and today we are getting wind and some rain from Sandy. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. Just some limbs down. The way the storm came in, we were on the west side and the big problems were on the east side. Our Lord protected us again. He is so good to us.
I just text a friend on Long Island.Ambrose. Remember her just got there this last Monday.  He wrote yeserday and told me the storm was coming straight towards them. I have not heard back. But they said on the ZNS news here their power was off. So maybe the phone are down too.
Please say a prayer or two for those islands on the east side the Sandy. They really got hit hard. But have not heard much about them. Like I said the phone lines are down and that is pretty much the only way to get in touch.

A couple of days ago, we at the ALC started getting ready for Sandy. We knew it would be maybe a problem back on Oct 22. So Mark and our crew started setting things in motion. Today we will see how she is coming along and if we should do more. You know we picked up things that can fly and just look around. We have been thinking the winds we get here should be around 70 miles a hour. Now like I said we might do more today. It is just raining a little and we can button up this place and make sure we are protected.

Hey the pictures you see here are from last night. I went in to the store to pick up some more milk and bread. The place was crazy. I have lived here now 7 years and have never seen the craziness.
I was just walking around and taking pictures like in secret. You know I didn't want to look like a tourist.
Our Prime Minster talked last and on TV telling us that the island is going to closed down all day today and tomorrow. You know like every one stay home today and tomorrow.

Yes it is time to wash and clean the van out. The reason is the board will be using it to get around. Our staff has cleaned this before, it is not because the board is using it? No really.
The staff we have here is so much willing to do the job and even have some fun making it happen.

Just a reminder, Nov 6th is around the corner

Okay some of you out there are saying so what, it is Nov 6th? To me this is important day for a future in the states. It is called Election Day. I am sorry to say, this year I did not get my paper work in on time to vote. During the last month and half I have been dealing with some health tings. So I didn't feel like sitting at a computer answering questions and trying to get it straight.
BUT my hope and prayer is that you take the time to go and vote and see WHAT GOD DOES WITH IT.
Remember God is in control and He is the One that let tings happen for a reason. Romans 13 is all about AUTHORITY. Please if you have not read Romans 13 lately, please take a couple of minutes and read those verses about HE is running the show. We just get a chance to be part of it.
Plus tonight is the last debate for the main guys.
I have enjoyed watching the other debates on my computer here in the Bahamas. The last one I really thought there would be blows.
My prayer is that we do our part and He will do HIS. 

This last Saturday at ALC had a board meeting. Then after wards some the board me,bers asked our staff to go out for dinner. It really was a nice tine and good food too.

Guess what? We had another going away party for Ambrose.

Man we just got together and had a time to eat some good food and spend time just talking with each other. There was a nice turn out. We all had a chance to say good bye to Ambrose. When it came to my turn I really will miss him. It was so nice how every one had something to say. Most of the women talked about how safe they felt when he was around. If you didn't know Ambrose is a Sergent in the Bahamas Police Force. That is why he is moving to Long Island. He has been working here in Nassau now 20 plus years. He is looking forward in moving there to get some what away from all that is going on around this island. He tells me he will still be working on pretty much the same things he was here. Break in and pretty much any thing else that happens there. He was part of the Homicide for many years. He got out of that about two years ago.
A side note Ambrose has always been there when ever we gather to do pretty much any thing at the church. Single's, any kind of function. He has been willing to do any he is asked to do too. I have had the chance to work along side of him in many of these things. He has been a bright light to his fellow officers too. Like I had said before, he will be missed. But I know he is only a phone call away. Plus he loves Face Book. He will keep in touch and I know when he gets back this way he will call and maybe we will get together and just get caught up on what has happen since.
I ask now for prayers for him, has he is getting ready and for every thing to fall in place. He will be bring his Son, C.J. So I know his heart will be some what pulled. The reason is he will be leaving his daughter here. The reason is the mother didn't think is would be good for her to ho too.

The other side of the island the water was twice as rough. Nice time. Even Scooby enjoy himself.

I sure am going to MISS HIm Ambrose

This is just one of the parties that is happening for my Brother Ambrose. Him and his son C.J. will be moving to Long Island in the next week or so. I will write more tomorrow about this great man I can call a good friend. These are the Men Of Faith that are part of Calvary Bible Church here in Nassau.

We are getting a new roof.

These guys have been working hard for two days to get this new roof on. Boy it really looks great.

You need to read the whole thing to enjoy. MAYBE

My Travel Plans!

I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone.  

I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.  

I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my children, friends, family and work.  

I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore.  

I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often.  

I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.  

Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.  

One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!  

I may have been in Continent, and I don't remember what country I was in. It's an age thing. They tell me it is very wet and damp there.  

PLEASE DO YOUR PART! Today is one of the many National Mental Health Days throughout the year. You can do your bit by remembering to send an e-mail to at least one unstable person. My job is done!  

Life is too short for negative drama and petty things. So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!
