This was last night at our Dinning Hall at the Camp

We are so blessed to say that our Old Leader Randy and Kim Grebe are back in town. I showed you guys a picture of Randy and Kim a couple of days ago.
Last night we had a nice dinner and after ward we played a couple of games and just to get together and each other company. Plus I sat with Randy afterward and he shared some stuff about what they have been doing on the OM Logo's Ship. He has been a story teller so many years. He is so wonder to listen to and just knowing him how he tells the story you want to sit and listen for hours.
He brought a group from his home church back in Florence NC. That is where they live now.

I am sorry but I have been having trouble with pictures.

Last Saturday night we had a real nice dinner at a restaurant called Wok and Roll. It is in Cable Beach area. These are my friends from Calvary Bible Church (singles) We try every February, we love to go out to a nice place and enjoy our time. You know that St. Valentines Day. You know that love ting we as people are to share our lives with a one that loves us and we love them. So these are my family and friends. It really was a great time and look forward in see them again next week-end, we start our Mission Conference.
I am so stoaked, the reason is I have a chance to share one night and even be part of the time that all the  missionaries get together and have some lunch and maybe even get a boat ride too. I will keep you in the loop.

Hello all, this is Kim and Randy Grebe

They have brought over with them a group of youth from the church they go to. I am sorry to say I really don't know that much more about their group. Their ages look around high school.  They just got in yesterday afternoon. I will write more about them later in the week.
Randy an Kim are the two that started this place called Adventure Learning Centre. I have been very blessed to be able to call them friends and even family. It is such a honor for me to still be part of this ministry and just to hear and know about how and why they started this place. Like I said I will write more later on.

Hey you would not believe where this garden is?

This area is behind the place called the Grill, but this is a church too. Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale,Fl.
This is Pastor Fred idea. He is the over seer of the Grill and I think other tings that are part of this area. I have known Pastor Fred before he was Pastor. When I worked at Calvary he was very much part of all that goes on. He has been around for a while.
Hey I had a chance to sit and have a nice breakfast and talk with him on Monday morning. My questions for him were, I heard that Calvary would like to give us ALC a use bus. So we talked and he pretty told me that Pastor Bob,( senor pastor of Calvary Chapel Ft Laud). has given his blessing on giving us this nice bus. Now if you would like to see the bus, I put pictures in the blog on Tuesday, I think? This bus is a 2001. Looking at and just checking it out. Boy it sure is looking good to me. The sits are all in tack. The driver seat is beautiful too.
Okay the pictures above are of the garden that Pastor Fred and a couple others are keeping it up. Boy the tomato and everything was growing very well. I ate a tomato and it sure hi the spot.

Now some up date on what I have been up to. I am back in the Bahamas. So please if you would like to get ahold of me. E mail at toms@alcbahamas.org
I have changed my phone number in Fort Lauderdale :954-552-3381 when I get back into town.
Plus I changed my number here too:242-357-4811

Hey I would love to hear from you and just get caught up on what has been going on in your life. If you follow me on the blog you can see I love sharing people's stories and even the tings that are forward. This is my main line to you all. I don't have the time to do Face Book and pretty much any thing else. So please if you want to see what has been going on in my life, this is the way. I hope to put a news letter out next week or so. I am back and had some tings to do today at the ALC. Kevin my son is well too. He has had off from school now for the last four days. I just don't understand why? But that is how the school system works here. Just keep him in prayer for his test that will becoming up in the next couple of months. He has to take these tests called BGCSE's. They are Bahamian school testing for going to collage.

Hey this a misions class that goes on every week for 6 weeks

Last night I had a chance to share with them about my life as a missionary. Hey I went to these class many years ago. The reason was I thought if I ever get called to be a missionary, I need to know more that I knew then. These classes showed me about how people react and live as they are on the mission field.
So we showed them a video on the Adventure Learning Centre. What we do and why? Then I told them about my time becoming one. It really is a time to reflex on what He has done, not what I have done. I am very blessed to be able to do what I do. Just think if I didn't listen to what He has planned out for me. I could be working at a place that I would be very unhappy. Even more have no peace in my life.
You all know the story of Jonah. Remember what he had to go through when he didn't want to do what God had planned out for him? I really am very much at peace and even love what I do.
So maybe He has something else for you to do? Are you willing enough to say SEND ME LORD!
Or are you the one that He has to keep on showing you, YOU NEED TO DO THIS?
Please if He has been showing you tings that He wants of you. Please listen and He will bless you even more. Listen and seek His Word and He will show you.
I really am ready to get back. I miss my son, Kevin and Scooby very much. Plus all my friends that I have back there in Nassau.
I will be flying out tomorrow at 8am Thursday the 21st. So please if you want to talk with me before then. Please call me at 954-655-2057.
OH next time in town I will have another  phone number, that will be 954-552-3318.
The reason is the phone I have been using now for over three years has been costing a friend of mine some funds that can be used for other tings. Please keep in touch, I love you all and see you the next time.

This is a gift that Calvary Chapel of Fort Lauderdale, that they are GIVING US AT THE ALC

Looking at the bus, boy she sure is pretty.
Yes this morning I had a meeting with the Pastor that is over seeing these buses. His name I Pastor Fred. We sat and talked about all the neat tings that are going on over at our place, ALC. Then we got down on what is going on about the bus? So the guy you see in one of the pictures is Sherman. He is the one that takes care of them plus making sire all is well with them too. I got some paper work on them today and sent a couple of sheets to Mark about the bus. So prayerfully we will be getting this in the next couple of months.
You know we need to get some other paper work from the Bahamas so we can bring this bus in duty free? Plus need to see who can ship it over too. Oh one of the reason I have been here is to get this all going. But you see that is not going to work out. I wanted to have four tires trucked down to us here at Calvary. Then take the bus over to the feed store and fill it up with all kinds of feed. You know, hay, cubes and chicken feed plus hog and what ever else we can get into the bus.. Plus other things. This way we will get it over on the bus and don't have to pay for the skids to ship. Plus picking the bus up at the dock and bring every thing back to the ALC. Oh well maybe Mark will be able to do this the next time he is in town? Or maybe fly me back over and do it and make it happen? Not sure what and how much time we have to get it over there.

These are some more pictures I took during my visit to Miami

It really was a nice trip. It has been a  while since my last time to town here. I just walked around and took pictures and talk with different people. If you need to get away for a day or a couple of hours. Take a trip on the Tri Rail and enjoy life.
Yesterday and today has been a little chilly. Early this morning it was 45 deg. So as I have been part of the Bahamas, this sure is a little more than chilly to me. I heard the temps were going down for a day. But I thought just stay in and where ever I go, stay warm.
Okay yesterday I went to visit a old friend Jon. He is the one that took over my job at Calvary, parking guy. So I called him and said I am here, lets talk. I found him and he told me that he would have to drive around in the golf cart. I looked at him and said maybe later we can hook up? Boy just getting a ride back to the truck, was COLD. I should have bought some long pants, I will only wear them a couple of days. But I didn't and I have to pay the price of that. My choose.
So I called another friend, Vince and His wife Dixie. I drove down to see them and just had a good time of eating some good food and having a peaceful afternoon. We shot some pool and just got caught up a little.
Today I am meeting a couple of people. Just see what happens.

My saturday was great. I went on a ride with Tri Rail and Metro

It has been a while since I have ridden the Tri Rail. I use to ride my bike to the station and put my bike in the car. Go to 79th street. Get off and ride to Miami Beach and then to South Beach.
This time I just rode the rails. It still was fun. Just think what $5.00 gets you any more. Not to much. You can ride all day on the tri rail for $5.00. You can go from say, Deerfield Beach to West Palm Beach or the other way, which I did. It cost only $5.00. If you drive from one place to other and the gas will cost you even more. Plus no hassle finding parking when you get there.
Okay you take the rail to Miami which is called the Metro station, that is 79th area. Then get on that train for another $4.00 round trip. Take that to Bay Side. This the heart of Miami along the bay. I will t more pictures up right after these.

I thought I got a good deal? God had different plans.

Hey look I bought a NEW TV. I thought I got a good deal? ($199.00). That was at Brands Mart. Then I went to Costco, saw the 32 " one for the same price. But then I thought, maybe I can get the smaller on the plane better? So I went to Jet Blue web site to see what size I can carry on? Or even a second bag? Well to my surprise, they don't let you bring any boxes on board at all? Then I thought, well we will be sending  bus over in short time to the Bahamas. Then I thought that might not work neither.
So I guess, maybe the next time I am in town I will just ship it over on a mail boat? The next reason is looking at all I have bought for myself while here, I don't need to spend the money any way. Like I said next time?

This happen on Tuesday night, Mssion Class

It has taken me a couple of days to figure out how to get more pictures on at a time.
This night I went to speak after the class but ran out of time. So I will have a chance next Tuesday night to share about what and way I do what I do at the ALC. It should be some fun and just a good time.
These classes are geared so these people ever think about becoming a missionary or any thing like that. They will have a idea about what it is like and how to deal with it.
The last night I was there, they talked about different cultures and how and what you might run into. It was some fun. Back in the 90's I took these classes. that is when Pastor Kelly was around.
Now Pastor Jym and Pastor Mike are over seeing this class. stay in contact and I will try to too.

I got a great deal yesterday

Okay now stay with me. Back in Nassau we have these large coolers. We use them to make Kool Aid and ice tea and you understand? So there is two of them over there that have broken spouts. I have been looking now for three days just for these spouts. I found them at a store called Ritz Safety. They sell them for $11.98 each. Okay you still listening? Look at the cooler on the bottom, sells for $9.97 each? So thinking and asking what should I do? I just thought why not? Buy the coolers and take the spouts out and throw the coolers in the trash? Okay I bought them and then asked a guy at Home Depot if they could do something with them? I handed them to him after taking the spouts out and walk away. Now this guy looked at me funny. I am not if he understood what I was telling him.
No problem I have the new spouts and saved us a couple of bucks.
Cute store or pretty dumb? Your call.

I am sorry, but having some troble with NEW COMPUTER

Yesterday I had a chance to spend some time with some 3rd (third) graders at Calvary Ft Laud. CCA.
I am sorry I didn't get the teachers' name. I wrote to the guy, Rick that set this all up for me. So tomorrow I should know her name.
These students have been praying for Kevin and myself for the last three or four months.. So while I am in town I had a chance to share about all that the tings that have been happening over in the Bahamas.
Hey it was hoot. The first question I got was, Can I have your autograph? It was a lot of fun. I showed the DVD and then explained what I did over there. You know the fix it guy stuff. I took some other pictures while I was there, but as I have been trying to put them in the blog. I tried this morning. It only takes one picture at a time. That is way I am doing it at night time, 9:30pm tonight.
Hey while here I have had breakfast and lunch and a movie with a young lady.(Rose) Every time I come to town, we do this. It really was nice time. Plus it was her birthday yesterday. So we went to Denny's and she got a FREE breakfast. So this was my treat. Pretty good hu?
Tonight I was a guess with a man named GUY. We meet at Salt Lite restaunt in Coral Springs. Meal was good. Plus we meet a couple of other people too.
I am tried now and when I am finish writing here I am going back to Dennis and Dona's home to go to bed.
Hey the weather is turning bad now. A lot of rain and even cold temps are on there way here. I went to Walmart tonight and bought some warmer clothes. You know a sweat shirt and a couple of long sleeves shirt. I need them any way.

The Lawyers Party (Not sure this is fact or not?)

The Lawyers Party

Finally, somebody who's adept at writing put my thoughts into common sense words..
Something to ponder.

A LAWYER WITH  A BRIEFCASE CAN STEAL MORE THAN  A THOUSAND MEN WITH GUNS.

This is very interesting!  I never thought about it this way.
The Lawyers' Party, By Bruce Walker

The Democratic Party has become the Lawyer's Party.

Barack Obama is a lawyer.  Michelle Obama is a lawyer.

Hillary Clinton is a lawyer.  Bill Clinton is a lawyer.

John Edwards is a lawyer.  Elizabeth Edwards was a lawyer.

Every Democrat nominee since 1984 went to law school (although Gore did not graduate).

Every Democrat vice presidential nominee since 1976, except for Lloyd Bentsen, went to law school.

Look at leaders of the Democrat Party in Congress:

Harry Reid is a lawyer.  Nancy Pelosi is a lawyer.

The Republican Party is different.

President Bush is a businessman.

Vice President Cheney is a businessman.

The leaders of the Republican Revolution:

Newt Gingrich was a history professor.

Tom Delay was an exterminator.  Dick Armey was an economist.

Speaker of the House John Boehner was a plastic manufacturer.

The former Senate Majority Leader Bill First is a heart surgeon.

Who was the last Republican president who was a lawyer?  Gerald Ford, who left office 31 years ago and who barely won the Republican nomination as a sitting president, running against Ronald Reagan in 1976.

The Republican Party is made up of real people doing real work, who are often the targets of lawyers.

The Democrat Party is made up of lawyers.  Democrats mock and scorn men who create wealth, like Bush and Cheney, or who heal the sick, like First, or who immerse themselves in history, like Gingrich.  The Lawyers Party sees these sorts of people, who provide goods and services that people want, as the enemies of America ..  And, so we have seen the procession of official enemies, in the eyes of the Lawyers Party, grow.

Against whom do Hillary and Obama rail?.... Pharmaceutical companies, oil companies, hospitals, manufacturers, fast food restaurant chains, large retail businesses, bankers, and anyone producing anything of value in our nation.  This is the natural consequence of viewing everything through the eyes of lawyers.  Lawyers solve problems by successfully representing their clients, in this case the American people.  Lawyers seek to have new laws passed, they seek to win lawsuits, they press appellate courts to overturn precedent, and lawyers always parse language to favor their side.

Confined to the narrow practice of law, that is fine.  But it is an awful way to govern a great nation.  When politicians as lawyers begin to view some Americans as clients and other Americans as opposing parties, then the role of the legal system in our life becomes all-consuming.  Some Americans become adverse parties of our very government.  We are not all litigants in some vast social class-action suit.  We are citizens of a republic that promises us a great deal of freedom from laws, from courts, and from lawyers.

Today, we are drowning in laws; we are contorted by judicial decisions; we are driven to distraction by omnipresent lawyers in all parts of our once private lives. America has a place for laws and lawyers, but that place is modest and reasonable, not vast and unchecked.  When the most important decision for our next president is whom he will appoint to the Supreme Court, the role of lawyers and the law in America is too big.

When House Democrats sue America in order to hamstring our efforts to learn what our enemies are planning to do to us, then the role of litigation in America has become crushing.

Perhaps Americans will understand that change cannot be brought to our nation by those lawyers who already largely dictate American society and business.  Perhaps Americans will see that hope does not come from the mouths of lawyers but from personal dreams nourished by hard work.  Perhaps Americans will embrace the truth that more lawyers with more power will only make our problems worse.

The United States has 5% of the world’s population and 66% of the world’s lawyers!  Tort (Legal) reform legislation has been introduced in congress several times in the last several years to limit punitive damages in ridiculous lawsuits such as spilling hot coffee on yourself and suing the establishment that sold it to you and also to limit punitive damages in huge medical malpractice lawsuits.  This legislation has continually been blocked from even being voted on by the Democrat Party.  When you see that 97% of the political contributions from the American Trial Lawyers Association go to the Democrat Party, then you realize who is responsible for our medical and product costs being so high!

We had a little gathering. Birthday wishes to Sean,Teka.

I am using my son's new camera. It really is nice. Easy to use and faster that my old one.

Just a note I will be flying over to Fort Lauderdale, Fl on Monday the 11th and coming back on the 21st. I really hope and pray I get a chance to rest a little and even buy some goodies for myself. You know a NEW CAMERA. I will be able to be reached by e mail toms@alcbahamas.org

Yes we are still doing work.

CAN COLD WATER CLEAN DISHES?

This is for all the germ conscious folks

who worry about using cold water to clean.

John went to visit his 90 year old grandfather

in a very secluded, rural area of Saskatchewan

After spending a great evening chatting the night away,

the next morning John's grandfather prepared
breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast.
However, John noticed a film like substance on his plate,
and questioned his grandfather asking,

'Are these plates clean?'

His grandfather replied,

'They're as clean as cold water can get 'em.

Just you go ahead and finish your meal, Sonny!'

For lunch the old man made hamburgers.

Again, John was concerned about the plates,

as his appeared to have tiny specks around

the edge that looked like dried egg and asked,

'Are you sure these plates are clean?'

Without looking up the old man said,

'I told you before, Sonny, those dishes are as
clean as cold water can get them.
Now don't you
fret, I don't want to hear another word about it!'

Later that afternoon, John was on his way to a nearby town
and as he was leaving,
his grandfather's dog
started to growl, and wouldn't let him pass.

John yelled and said,
'Grandfather, your dog won't let me get to my car'.

Without diverting his attention from the football game

he was watching on TV, the old man shouted!

'Coldwater, go lay down now, yah hear me!'

Meet Coldwater!

Have a fabulous STRESS FREE day!
