Hey folks I saw this and thought about how we can look at things and think something else.

I had a chance yesterday to share about seeing this movie, Hello My Name Is Doris.
Well after sharing, my mind started saying how do I look at things and say if only.
It was a reality check for me.
It might be a silly movie but Sally did a nice job and I could see her being real and down to earth.

On the move again.

This will be my new place for the next month or so. It was time for me to move out and move on. So as if you never look back the last 10 years. I have been very bless to call this place my home whenever I would come back in Fort Lauderdale area. This is Donna and Dennis' s home. They have been gracious in letting me move in for the next month or so.

It is funny but as I lived in the Bahamas, I never had this much stuff. It is things I have gotten since I have moved back. So everything I owe is in this small pile. Hey I am very blessed to be able to move with my small Ford and do it in one move.
Prayerfully in the next month or so, I will find myself a new place I can call home.

As I have been cleaning up around the church.

I should not say, as I have been cleaning. Just as the recycle bins come outside, I have been checking out what is inside of them. These two (2) posters are really beautiful and encouraging.
The school year is over and each and every teacher needs to clean out their desk and the students their lockers. So as I keep checking things out, It is funny how people throw stuff out, but I have never seen a I Phone???

Three (3) Ways To Strengthen Your Prayer Life.

Give your faith life a boost with these prayer techniques and tips.

how to strengthen your prayers
Prayer is the cord that binds us to God. Here are three ways you can freshen and strengthen your own prayers.
1. Change your prayer posture.
Did you know that prayer only became a sitting-down activity when pews were invented in the 16 th Century? Before that, people mainly prayed while standing (often with arms extended, in imitation of Jesus on the cross), kneeling or lying prostrate on the floor.
Sometimes a humbler position helps the heart. Take kneeling, for instance. Solomon knelt while making his long prayer of dedication of the Temple, “with his hands spread out toward heaven” (1 Kings 8:54). Paul kneels to pray just before he is deported to Rome (Acts 20:36). Perhaps most importantly, in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus “withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed” (Luke 22:41-42) .
Kneeling is about submission, and it’s particularly helpful when we admit that we really don’t have all the answers or know what’s best in every situation.
2. Offer your day to God.
Make prayer a part of your everyday life–every day! Many people set aside a particular time of day–and even a particular place in their house–to be with God. Whether you’re a morning person or a night owl, you can reserve a spot in your day for God.
But the Bible exhorts us to “Pray continually” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). How are we to do that? If you dedicate your whole day to God from the start, everything you do becomes a prayer. Begin your day with this prayer (or one of your own):
Almighty God, Today I offer myself completely to you: all my thoughts, all my words, all I do. Make my every movement a living prayer; help me unite myself to your son Jesus Christ in heart, mind and soul. For Jesus’ sake, Amen.
Dedicating ourselves to the day the Lord has made will surely help us “rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).
3. Pray a balanced prayer .
Many people find themselves praying what is most comfortable for them to the exclusion of other types of prayers. Stretch yourself to include all forms of Biblically based prayer in your life.
Praise: “To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy–to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen” (Jude 1:24-25).
Thanksgiving: “I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders” (Psalm 9:1).
Supplication or Petition: “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened” (Luke 11:9-10).
Confession: “Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the LORD'–and you forgave the guilt of my sin” (Psalm 32:5).
Meditation: There’s no specific verse for this one–choose any Bible passage and let it seep into your heart! Be quiet, wait and listen. “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).

JUST BAKE YOUR BREAD

“So he [Elijah]went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, ‘Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?’  As she was going to get it, he called, ‘And bring me, please, a piece of bread.’  ‘As surely as the Lord your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.’ Elijah said to her, ‘Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: “The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land.’” - 1 Kings 17:10-14
This is a story of obedience, faith, and provision, but there’s a backstory that you need to know. Because of his courage in telling the truth, Elijah had become a very unpopular man in Israel. So, God sent him away into the wilderness for a time of rest and testing. He took him to a place by a brook where God met his physical needs. Birds brought Elijah food every day, and the brook provided him water.
After a while, however, the brook dried up because there was no rain. As you can imagine, Elijah was a little surprised and probably thought, “Okay, God, what do I do now? I have to have water to survive!” (Now, remember, God doesn’t always meet our needs fortomorrow, today. He always meets our needs for tomorrowtomorrow. So, God told Elijah to go to a specific place where he would find food and water.
He went to a gate and found a woman gathering sticks and asked if she would get him a drink of water. She immediately went to get him the water when he added, “While you’re at it, please bring me a piece of bread…” In light of this poor woman’s situation, she could have thought, “The audacity of this guy!” But she told him she was in the process of preparing what was to be the very last meal for her and her son, and then there would be nothing left, and they would die. She lived in poverty. She was a single mom. Single parenting is not a new thing. Women have been raising families alone and in poverty for centuries. But she trusted God and gave all that she had to the man of God—and God blessed her by multiplying the food in her cupboard so that she and her son would never be without because of it. In the process, He continued to bless Elijah by meeting his physical and material needs to be able to survive.
This biblical story teaches us how much God cares for us. God cared for the prophet. He cared for this poor single mom. He cares for all of us. Our role is to put our trust in Him and be willing to put our faith into action…to just go and “bake our bread,” so to speak, do the best we can today, and leave the rest to Him. Elijah trusted God and was fed. The poor single mom trusted God through Elijah, and her needs were met.  The greater the need – the greater the blessing. Trust Him to meet your needs, and He will.

You Need God's Power To Change

jdevotional on God's Power
I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does” Romans 7:24-25 (MSG).
We all have areas of life we’d change if we could. We’ve tried over and over to make our lives better on our own.
And we’ve failed — miserably.
Why? We can’t change ourselves. If we could, we would. But we can’t, so we won’t.
Willpower doesn’t work. At the most, it works for six months. But we have a limited supply of willpower. Pretty soon we run out of it and give up. We go off the diet and back to the bad habits. We go back to the bad relationships and start doing the same patterns we were in earlier. We need more than willpower to change our lives.
We need God’s power.
Paul understood this. wrote, “I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does” (Romans 7:24-25 MSG).
So give up trying to change yourself. You don’t need a class. You don’t need a new relationship. You don’t need a self-help book. You don’t need more money.
You need Jesus.
Talk It Over :
– What are some ways you’ve tried to change your life that haven’t worked?
– Why do you think willpower is so ineffective in making changes to our lives?
– How do you get God’s power?

On Fridays as our team (Events) come together.

I am sorry to say I thought Jeremy was in the picture, his foot was. Plus Lucas our other team member was at another meeting. (new hires)
So as we started talking about all the things we need to be ready for this next week. Jeremy said, Hey Scott there is a present around here, you need to look and find it?
So as we all got up and tried to help him. He found it.

Now if you look closely, you can see Mr. Jeremy did some extra wrapping on this card. I did offer my knife, but everyone said NO Scott's gift and he has to open it himself. Okay after a few minutes he got into it. I think he was very surprise to see gift card inside of the card.
I am very blessed to call these guys my friends and few workers.

You can see the BIG smile on Scott's face. He really enjoyed it.
Guys we have a lot of things to do each week and sometimes I think, let us skip the meeting and just get the work done. But as I sit here with these guys I hear their heart and how can we make our job better each week.
It is hard some days to look on and do what we do. But in the end we are here to serve and that is why we are paid too. So as our week go by and thinking why do we have to do this? Or who is asking for What? I need to be reminded each day that we are not serving man, BUT it is for HIS GLORY.

I never knew there was rules.

I put this in the blog last week and never saw the rules.
But now I know this is very much stayed with the rule.

I am very blessed to be able to walk into a break room like this one and enjoy a cup of coffee and just enjoy the encouragement each day. Plus the coffee even taste pretty good.

We have been talking about prayer, I believe this is right on time. Thank you Walter

This is absolutely great!
There might be hope yet.
Thought you might enjoy this interesting prayer given in Kansas at the opening session of their Senate.
It seems prayer still upsets some people. When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual  generalities, but this is
what they heard:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask
your forgiveness and to seek your direction and
guidance.
We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done.
We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed
our values.
We have exploited the poor and called it  the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions
and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and
pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.
Amen.

The response was immediate.
A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest.
In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls
responding negatively.
The church is now receiving
international requests for copies of this prayer
from India, Africa and Korea.

With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One Nation
under God.'

If possible, please pass this prayer on to your friends.
"If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything."
Think about this: If you forward this prayer to everyone on your
e-mail list, in less than 30 days it would be
heard by the entire world.

Just a reminder how you can pray during your busy days. Thank you Betty

Chances are you have a fairly set morning routine like brushing your teeth or taking medicine. You don’t have to remember it (though if you’re anything like me, you occasionally walk out of the house without your glasses. . . or shoes).
It’s almost automatic because you’ve done them in roughly the same order so many times.
In the same way, it is possible to turn some of your habits into prayer reminders or “triggers,” as I call them. I’ve previously written about triggers on this blog, but here are 10 easy prayer triggers to turn routine tasks into prayer prompts:
1)  While pouring a morning cup of coffee, pray, “God, thank you that your love has been poured out into my heart through the Holy Spirit” (see Romans 5:5).
2)  Before turning on the car radio, “Lord, tune my heart to sing Thy grace” (from “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing”).
3)  While getting dressed, pray, “God, clothe me today with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience” (see Colossians 3:12).
4)  Before turning on the stove or oven, “Save me, God, from being lukewarm in my love for you” (see Revelation 3:15-16).
5)  When using the ATM, take a moment to pray for the poor around the world. You might also choose an ATM password that reminds you to pray.
6)  While waiting at a stoplight, pray, “Lord, let righteousness go before me and prepare the way ahead” (see Psalm 85:13).
7)  When picking up a pen or pencil, pray, “Father, write your words on the tablet of my heart” (see Proverbs 3:3).
8)  As you see your reflection in a mirror or store window, pray, “Father, let my life reflect, more and more, the image of Your Son” (see Romans 8:29).
9)  When saying goodbye to a friend, “God, be with him or her until we meet again.”
10) When turning a light on or off, “Jesus, let me walk in the light, as You are in the light” (see 1 John 1:7).
You probably won’t use all of the above, of course. But incorporating just a few of these (or others that occur to you) into your daily routine can make a huge difference, injecting moments of prayer throughout your day.

Four action to help you release your fears and fill your heart with Christ’s love. by Norman Vincent Peale

Scripture to Overcome Fear. Credit: Shutterstock
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18
The Christian faith is a tremendous thing. It can be the greatest force in your life, and it’s your hope for life here and life beyond. It can do anything for you that you will admit that it can.
Faith can take the limitations from you and set you free from fear. If you have a fear that you don’t seem to be able to handle, bring it to Jesus and apply His techniques for overcoming it. Say to yourself, “I now determine I will be rid of this problem.” That is the first step. You determine to get rid of it. Then surrender the problem to Jesus Christ absolutely, and believe that you will be relieved of your fear.
Try these four action steps to help you release your fears and fill your heart with Christ’s love.
1. List your three greatest fears on a sheet of paper. To focus faith to overcome your fears, look at them, one at a time, and repeat: “I believe, I believe, I believe” after each one.
2. To focus the power of love on your fear, memorize the text: “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear” (1 John 4:18).
3. Memorize Jesus’ promise regarding His teaching: “If you remain in Me... ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you” (John 15:7).
4. Listen to Jesus. Don’t spend all of your prayer time talking. Take time to relax physically and be completely quiet, so you can hear Him talking to you.

I had someone watching me yesterday.

I went to the park again to wax my truck and heard some rustling in a trash can. So I walked over and saw this little one getting out of the recycling bin.
As I was waxing the truck I left the driver side door open. You know to climb up and wax the cab. Well I just finished that and went to the hood to start wiping the wax off. I looked to my right and saw this little guy carrying a zip lock bag. Thinking that is great he found something to eat.

Not knowing where he got it from. I just took a picture of his eating what ever is in there. I drove off and went to Walmart to get some food for the rest of the week. As I got back into my truck to come home. I brought another bag of sugar free hard candy, I went to pick up the bag and saw it was GONE. That little friend of mine stole my zip lock bag out of my truck.
Well ad least it is sugar free. It will not hurt his teeth.

I just love how people DON"T READ SIGNS.

I am not sure if you can see the signs above this young lady's head.
Please don't use your cell phone while in this room. Something like. But there she goes.
Okay why am I here in this X ray office?
Well yesterday I stopped by to pay a outstanding bill at my doctor's office.Back in April I had a physical and I owed $19.00. I saw Mat, the asst for the doctor. I just asked him if he could answer a question for me? He said we can work you in for a appointment today. I told him how my leg is like giving out, while I walk on it.
The doctor and I talked and he told me that is looks like a back issues. He asked me to go get some X rays. No problem. He knew of my surgery. But didn't know what all they. This way he can see it and know how it is now.
Now back 1988, I had what they call laser surgery on my back. All they did was cut a small line across my spine. Then removed 4 to 6 small pieces of bone. The size if grape seeds. Back then I use picking up huge bottles of oxygen and carrying on my shoulder. !970's to the 80's. Which at the time didn't bother me. But as I got older, then worked at Home Depot. I was picking up 5 gallon pales of paint. It just cause it to get worse. So I went to different doctors. Chiropractor and he did all kinds of different things to try to fit my back. He even send me to the hospital an put me on a rack. That right to stretch out my back. Then I went and saw doctor. He set me up for a cat scan. That is when they found the pieces of broken bone between my lumbar vertebrae. The next day afterwards I didn't have any pain or nothing wrong at all.
So as for yesterday I stopped at the x ray place they use. The cost was very little compared to how many x rays they took. (6). So the doctor gave me a couple of prescriptions. One for night to relax the muscles. The next one is like a small pain killer.
This morning woke up with still a little pain, but feeling much better. I really not sure if anything will show up on the X rays. But will find out in the next couple of days.
Hey folks as I work at the church, I do a lot of lifting tables and chairs each day. I know I over do it some days too. But my God is in control and that is all I need to say about my problems. I know He has given me a brain too????

I am not sure about you, but I do love a beautiful beach.

This is just another bike ride to the beach. Nothing really new at all. I just love to ride and see what our Lord has set for me.
This was on Wednesday morning.

There is a black board in one of our staff kitchens.

You know where you can get a cup coffee during the day? It really is neat to work and say, wow I need a boost. So as Jeremy and I were walking around yesterday, I said coffee time. Walked in and saw this on the board. This saying should be on each and every person mind each day.
Folks we as staff are to service each other and be willing to step back and say you go first.
This saying tells it all.

Calvary Christian Academy gave our facilities team a gift of food.

As our school year is winding down, CCA teachers came together and fed us all lunch yesterday. It really was a great time. We had pizza, subs, watermelon and cookies. Over all it tasted great.

It really worked out good for me too. On Fridays I usually go out for lunch It is my free day to enjoy some junk food.
I heard many of the guys say after wards, boy I sure ate to much. Then some said, it is nap time. I know myself, I was over filled.
But free food is always welcome on my end.
Thank you Gretchen and Maria, they both over see the events for the school.

This place is called Spanish Lakes, it is up in Fort Pierce area.

As I was telling you about places for a song. Well as I keep looking, I have been pretty much dealing with low end homes. You know $5,000.  Now as I was in Spanish Lakes on Monday, I came across this beautiful home. Wow the inside is pretty much all brand new and boy what a difference a $15,000 makes on buying. This is selling for $20,000. This had a garden tub plus shower next to it. Oh I went to talked with the realstate lady there and boy I was blown away. I wish I took some pictures on the inside? But thinking there is no way I will be buying this place. The perks are great too. You can use the golf course and everything else is at the club house. Like I said didn't plan on spending that much. So I didn't check it all out.
But this morning I started looking again in the same park. They have homes in there in my price range too there. I just went to a web page called www.mhvillage.com
Hey get a chance you might find something you like too?

Wednesday, May 11, 2016

This one is pretty much selling for a song.

The out side looks pretty good.

This is the shed. Small but it will work.

When you walk in and you will notice a smell. It smells like a animal has been living in here. You know a pet. Well this is the main doorway.

Look to the left and that goes out to the front room. Which I guess was the Florida Room at first. But they enclosed it

This is the living room.

The Florida Room.

Living Room.

The left side bedroom, kinda small.

The right hand bedroom.

Master bathroom.

I guess this is the master bedroom.

Like I said before the outside is in good shape. No real problems I can see.
This did cross my mind to buy for a song and fix it up. But more and more I look, I think I should get one I can move into. You know a turn key move.
We will see what He has planned out for me.

Tuesday, May 10, 2016

On Saturday afternoon, I had a wonderful chance to go to Ikea.

These  are my fellow workers. Christina, Kimber/ baby and Lucas. Hey if you have never been to Ikea, one day just go there and hang out and spend the day just check it out. Plus they have food to eat there too. You know a cafe style. It really is a neat place to see how to buy. They have rooms already set up for you to just see have it will look . Plus the size of the room it there too. This way, say your bedroom is 150 sq ft. It will give you ideas on how to use the space. I have been here before, just waking around. Great concept. This is the warehouse area. You go and shop then. As you look at the stuff. There is area codes. Then shelve codes too. You just walk around and pick up your item and take it to the cashiers.

This is Lucas, he really is a sweet guy, he does smile. I guess as we waited around for for Matt to come. I know he is thinking of all the work that is needed for tonight. Which really was not that much for him to do. We got most of it ready for Mother's Day.

That right we had to stand in line to check out. Meanwhile Lucas and I got some snacks. He bought me a cinnamon roll and coffee.Which was very tasty. The coffee was nice an strong too. I found out afterwards I went back to get a refill and got the grounds. That means it has been there a while. But at the time it was wonderful. Lucas told me that I had too much coffee. I guess I was being silly.  He got two small ice creams.

Here comes Kimber and Matt. Matt is one of the over seers at Calvary. I guess this next week there wil be some moves of offices. Well the girls have been here since 1 pm shopping and trying to buy stuff that will work in the new set ups. Matt is the one that has the credit card to pay for it all.

Well Lucas and I made it back and unloaded the stuff and I went home. This all happen on Saturday night. I usually work until 4 pm or so. It depends on how many hours I worked during the week. You know. No over time. But today I got almost 4 hours overtime. That is wonderful. On Monday there will be a couple of the other guys putting all this stuff together. Then we will see the big office moves happen. That is how it is at Calvary. We are always have something happening there.
I really hope and pray that all you MOTHERS OUT THERE HAD A WONDERFUL DAY YESTERDAY.

I had a opportunity to help out my cousin.

It has been a while since I have trimmed and cleaned out her gutters too.  Oh, the reason I am here now is because Jeanne and her sisters pl...
