I was told about this place about 6 months ago, it was Rosy and her hubby Al. Thank you guys.

I am not sure what UP stands for? But this warehouse is right down the road from my house. 

You walk in and it is set up like a small mom and pop market. They have health and beauty stuff, fruit, veggies and all kinds of can goods. Plus box stuff. 

I walked around and was surprise how cheap things were. 

This is not a place to do all your shopping at. But as I was standing in line, the cashier gave me a application. Which has on it saying if you make less than $1900.00 a month you are able to shop there. Now folks as I am on Social Security. I have no problem with this. 

They even give you a loaf of bread as long as you buy $5.00 or more. Oh they offer you a box of donuts or pastries too. But I passed on them. No reason to bring it home and then eat it all. 

Okay I only bought a few things. But at the end you can see it was worth the trip. 

The chicken is a couple of days old. But it is frozen. So I will be eating it today for dinner, (Sunday) 

Hey if you don't see any more blogs. Maybe it was not such a good deal????

I want to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

On Thursday, I was at the tennis clinic.

I got a cal from a friend (Rosy).She told me that her neighbor as a water leak under her water heater. I asked if they could shut the water off? She told me that the water is still leaking by the valve under the house. 

I told her I would be over as soon I can, after the clinic. The reason I said that was, I need to improve my game and I really didn't think a little water under the house would matter. 

I got there and Al had started digging up the main valve that come from the street. 

It took us a couple of tries but found it and shut it off. 

If you look on the upper part, the gray pipe. That is where it is spraying out. So I cut the old pipe out to take to Lowes and got what I needed. It should be a some what easy fix???????

I got the new valve in and felt around the pipe and there was still a leak??? How can this be? So I followed the line up and found, at a coupler a pin hole leak.  Come on, what the heck? 

I had to go back to Lowes and buy another set up. The reason was I glued the first one. 

At the end I felt around and no more leaks. Not even a drip. I know I am being tested and I pray I passed the test. 

I got a call earlier that morning and asked if I could take a love seat and a sofa to the and fill? 

Okay lets see what happens with one little job? 

It turned out to really be a piece of cake. The sofa and love seat Iwe just pulled it out the house and threw it in the back of my truck and on my way. 

You can see these birds don't have to worry about food. 

As the dy wound down, I enjoyed making a couple of bucks and even helping folks out with small jobs. 

As 2017 is winding down. I will wish you all a Happy New Years. 

I am very blessed, so many Christmas cards.

It is kinda of sad, I went out last year, right after Christmas and bought a bunch of Christmas cards. Thinking this year I will send them out. Well I forgot all about them, I had them stored with my Christmas stuff. Not getting that out until second week of Dec. Thinking, there is no way I will be able to get them out before Christmas. So like any other guy, my lazy side told me to wait until next year????

Which I am sadden by how many I got.

Last week, Wednesday before Christmas. There is a guy named Mich. He is the over seer of the tennis club. Plus he has a tennis clinic on Tuesday and Thursday at 11am. I have been going to try to relearn how to play tennis again. So Mich and I were talking about my racket.(the one on the right)  Hey I got this at the Good Will about three years ago. Thinking it is only a racket to play with? 

Well Mich was telling me that I need a new one. First he was talking about me buying a brand new Wilson. I asked if he has a used one that he would like to sell? 

He has one and he gave it to me to try out. I used it on Thursday, and it really made difference. So I gave me the racket back to re wrap the handle. On Saturday morning I got is back and it was wonderful. 

One of the tennis players was telling me to just come on over and hit some balls. You know serving. So there are 45 balls in this basket and I started out. Hitting the net more than over the net. 

But as I kept trying. It got better and even better. This was my last basket to hit. I did it for 1 hour and half. Which is four baskets. 

You can see I have some what improved. 

Hey I was tried after wards, but felt like I might be able to serve better today. I have the clinic today at 11am. So I will let you know if it helped or not? 

Folks trying to get into shape. Is some times hard to do. But the end results are worth every effort. 

I am not trying to be the best. But I just want to have some fun and try to do my best. 

God knows this body needs  good work out. 

As this is Saturday I am at the Pickle Ball clinic.

Last couple of weeks I have been learning how to play and understand the rules of this game called Pickle Ball. It is like half the size of a tennis court. Plus you use a paddle instead of a racket. The ball is like a wiffle ball. 

It really is kinda of fun. It is not a hard sport to learn. Plus like I said the court is smaller. So the running is not as much as tennis. But I can tell you this. I was still pretty tried after playing three games. 

I got back home and took a shower and lift for Bonita's home, in Winter Haven. 

On the way there I needed some good old fashion junk food. I stopped at Taco bell. 

It really was tasty. 

I got to my cousin's home and Angel and her daughter were there. They were talking about this doll named Fingerlings. I have never heard of them. Maybe because I don't have children or grand kids? 

But Bonita and Angel were telling me that were hot this year. Plus very hard to find. 

They are cute. 

Well by now everyone has had their Christmas and we are all getting ready for the NEW YEAR AHEAD. 

I really hope and pray the folks that are traveling these next days will be safe and enjoy flight back home. 

I know of one flying home today and she has been up in New York state freezing, while outside. The temp in Rochester today is feeling -11 degrees. 

I can not believe it is really Friday already?

These are the ladies I excise with each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It really is not excising, it is stretching class. 

I am very blessed to be able to come along and have some fun with these ladies. 

As I live around the corner of this pile. I stopped by and asked if they would like this pile carried away. The reason I asked, is the garbage guys will not take carpet away, as is. 

I did have to cut the carpet in small rolls. the reason was the pieces he had were all most 6 to 8 feet long. It just would not fit in the back of my truck. 

It took me two trips to the land fill. Which only cost $9.38 for both loads. 

So I made $50.00 profit. Not bad for just driving and dropping off. 

I got a call from a young lady in the park here. She told me that this elbow fell off. So I went over and turned the water off. 

I talked with the neighbor next store. He was telling me about a BLUE glue that you can use while the water was still running. The reason I needed that was I could only slow the flow down. The main valve would not shut the water off. 

This really did work. I was so surprise, IT WORKED GREAT. 

Hey folks I just got back home from my Christmas vacation, at my cousin's home in Winter Haven. 

I really enjoyed my time and just hanging out and watching a bunch of Christmas movies. 

You know Santa Clause 1 and 2. The Grinch that Stole Christmas. Plus a couple of others. 

Plus the food was wonderful too. Now I need to cut back on junk food. 

It is like everything. It is fun to go a visit BUT coming home, IT IS HOME. 

I really hope and pray you all had a wonderful Christmas and I am looking forward in see what happens this next year. 

This is Cindy's home needs some screens replaced.

There are four screens that are ripped of pulled out all the way. 

It was really a lot easier than I thought this would be. The sad part was Roy and I had to drive back to Home Depot and get the spline. That is th rubber that goes around the frame itself. 

But as we got the correct one all is well. 

Like I said I really love the way they came out. 

Plus we pressure washed her home too. Really didn't use a pressure washer. just used that cleaner that we got at Home Depot. Over all a great day and rewarding too. 

I know as I write now, It is Christmas Morning.

 YES TODAY IS SET A SIDE FOR SAY THANK YOU, JESUS FOR YOUR BIRTH AND TO TELL OUR FAMILIES HOW MUCH WE LOVE THEM.

This is my family, as we spend Christmas Eve at Olive Garden.  Greg, Bonita and little old me. It was very enjoyable and just hanging out with them. I am so blessed too. I love them and cherish these hours together. 

As I look back and talk with my friends, They are enjoying time with children and grand kids too. 

It is a wonderful time and folks like I said before CHERISH THESE TIMES AND JUST LOVE THE FOLKS YOU ARE AROUND EACH DAY. 

This is Annie's home. She has had cats living under her home.

So Roy and I came up with a idea. First have to take the lattices work off. Then dig along the bottom of the old skirting. 

We bought chicken wire. It is 2 ft wide and has 2" hole. I fasten the wire to the old skirting and then buried  it under the dirt. 

Then put the lattice back up and looking great to me. 

Here she only had the medal skirting. The cats would crawl under there and have babies and make a big mess. So I guess the week before, the animal control came out and caught them in their cages and took them away. 

So prayerfully she is all sealed in and no more problems with critters will get under there. 

She was very happy and like I have talked about before. That is my main possible of doing this kind of work around here. 

I enjoy helping out and making a dollar too. It really does help me too. 

I was invited over to have dinner with Roy's (some) his family. I now it is a bad shot. But this is Roy his wife Pat and his brother Bobby. 

Bobby's wife Michelle and one more of Roy's brothers. Fred. 

Hey this is like a Christmas dinner. The reason I say that is. On Thursday afternoon Roy and Pat fly out to Boston, Mass. Then Michelle flies out to go to New Jersey. 

Not sure about Fred.

But as the Christmas is moving in faster each year. Enjoy your family today.  

Tuesday night is dart night. Yes our team sure tried. But this night I was not even close in throwing. Not sure why? But at the end we lost both games. Hey folks some nights the darts fly right. Then like I said not sure. 

Over all this place is for enjoyable and just having fun. I now a couple of guys here, really take this a little bit to serious. 

Folks as I am writing now, it is Christmas Eve morning. I am sitting in McDoanld's having a my ice coffee and just trying to get into the SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS.
