This was Saturday, our fun day. Celebrate our 4th Anniversary,

We are at the Farmer Market, downtown Fort Pierce. It has been a while since we have been here. So first of all, we stopped at the restaurant that we are having brunch at. It's called Casa Pasta. The house of pasta. Reservations are at 10 am. So, we will walk around and check out different
tents and get back there by that time.

This is the waterfront. This is really a neat place to just come and relax by the water and check out the catfish.  Down to the left there is a place to feed the catfish. People are always down there, bring crackers and bread to hand out.

Whenever I see this tent I think of my friend Don, he lives in Baltimore, MD. I even sometimes send him a picture of this place. Trying to just say hello to him.

This is Michelle (Honey Queen) she has a tent to sell honey and my wife Jeanne.

Well, we walked around and came back here to have a wonderful breakfast/lunch. It was a smorgasbord.
The food was really good and even tasty. They had dessert and many things to try out. Plus, orange/water. Folks if you are ever in Fort Pierce, please take a chance and try this place.

This is downtown area. We were planning on seeing the Annual Florida Cracker Trail Ride. The real neat thing happens on the day we got married. We had our reception here at this restaurant, back in 2021 this place was called The Rooster. We had our lunch there with a bunch of our friends and family.

These are the family and friends that came to our wedding and afterwards the reception.
They changed the route. Not sure why? But I walked down the road and saw them coming down the road.

Jeanne was telling me the story about this ride. I guess many years ago, they started a ride to Bradenton from here and bring oranges and different fruits and things to sell over there. Then coming back they bring other items home. They did this every year and on the or around the 20th of February.

Right after this trailer went by. The Crackers were next in the parade. I took a video, but I could not get it on here to show you. But there was four or maybe five groups of Crackers. Each of these groups took a whip and cracked while walking down the street. It really a neat sound and these groups really knew how to crack them. It sounded like a firecracker going off.
I walked back and finished eating our brunch. When I came back, I saw a (1975) Gremlin.

It really brought back many memories. In 1973 or sometime then I bought a Gremlin X. It was blue and white stripped. It had Wrangler jeans seats and interior. It had a V8 304 engine. Three speed on the floor transmission. I called my dad, that day, back in Rochester, N.Y. He sold American Motors cars. He started selling when they sold Hornet and Nash, Ramblers. This was in the 50's. So, I called my dad to see if I was getting a good price on this Gremlin?
I think I told him $3,400.00, he told me to buy it and maybe buy two or three them for the price. I was living in Ann Arbor Michigan. Their prices were cheaper than he could bring them to Rochester. Folks it was my first new car and love that car. So, I have history with a Gremlin.

This is in front of the restaurant we ate at.
While driving back towards home. Jeanne took a few pictures of the people and horse, next to Cob's Landing. (downtown)

These were some of the folks that rode their horses and just hanging out and talking with the people in town.
Well, folks' life is great. I am so blessed and loved by the woman I married.
Today is Sunday. We went to church this morning. Pastor Jim and Pastor Nat did the teaching. The address in your Bible is Ephesian 4:7 to 16. It How and Where these verses are talking about. The gift giver- Christ gift, His grace given to us. Then #2 is What are the gifts? apostles. some prophets, some
evangelist and some pastors and teachers. #3what is the purpose of the gifts, Apostles- hill takers. Prophets are truth tellers. Evangelist are lost finders. Pastors are shepherds and Teachers are illuminators. Verse 15th Speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head-Christ. 16) from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint and according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
I know there is a lot here. So, please take the time and read the verses for yourself and let God speak to you and please enjoy what He is trying to tell you plus just trust Him, He loves you.

Yesterday was our time to have a family meal.

Today we all meet at Calvary Chapel Vero Beach. It was a great message. Pastor Jim is teaching out the Book of Ephesians Chapter 4:1-6. He went back and forth in the Ephesians. Talking about the word walk. It really was an eye opener. Most times we think of the word walk as an action word. But Pastor Jim showed us today that is means what do we is our walk in our faith?
There is much more to the this. But he reminded us of, we all have our Christian Walk. Are we bringing glory to Jesus Christ our Savor? Are we proud of our walk.
Folks we all sin and the question is what are we doing to improve our walk with HIM?
Okay back to our beautiful lunch and time to spend together.

See we all can help out and at the end just sit down and enjoy a great meal.
This one was steak, mashed potatoes, broccoli, corn, mushrooms/onions. For dessert was strawberries/cheesecake. Helping hands make life easier.

Okay this Kista (mom) Cashlyn, Kaden and Jeanne (my girl)
Folks I believe looking back in our lives, we pretty much as children had Sunday lunch together with our family. back then I believe our lives were better off then too. Saying loving each other and just spending time is needed to keep connected. Afterwards we all cleaned up and relaxed and watched a movie.
My prayer is that you take the time to go back and look at our families back when we were much younger and how we took time to pray for our meals and just hanging out to see what we have been up to. Maybe even talk about what we got out of the teaching we heard that morning.
God's Word is alive, and we all need to read it and live it each day. He loves us and wants us to seek Him and just start today. It is Totally worth the time and effort.

Wishing everyone a Happy LATE Valantines Day

This is just one of the days the students are Little Willy Wonka's. Yes, these students are making candy items. Choclate covered pretzels. Marshmallows on a stick covered in Dark Chocolate. Oreos covered in chocolate. Brownies cut out as lips. Strawberry Chec cereal mix. (Not sure of everything they put into it). BUT it was great and tasty.  Folks I know there was a lot more things that Jeane had them make up. But this is for Valantines Day FUN DAY. (Carnival)

They have been working on making everything in a week plus.

This is picture of my baby doing my job. collecting the money and giving out the tickets to sell the items we have for sale. I was sitting down eating some chicken my baby bought for me.
This is what this is all about, selling to the students and teachers and staff today. This is the 6th period of Friday. They changed the times today, so this Carnival could happen. We have one day out the month to have this for the students, it's like a reward for the good they are doing to get their grades up and just make Westwood a better place to go to high school. Getting back to the time changes. They have three lunch periods. (A,B,C) They are normally 30 minutes. But they start normally at 10:30am. Today, started at 12 noon instead. This way the students that go to MOA -Marine and Oceanographic Academy. This is a school that is tied to Westwood. It's an honor to go there and these students go to Westwood for the academic side of high school. Then they go MOA afterwards. They are picked up here at the school (in the morning) and brought back at noon so they can ride their bus back home. This way they can take part of the festive.

Just a side note, looking around seeing all these students wearing hoodies and sweatshirt. Folks it's 75 degrees out here. Just doesn't make sense.

This day is set aside so the clubs and classes to raise money for whatever they need it for. So, there are many places to buy, hotdogs, chicken, candy cotton, boiled peanuts, pizza, sandwiches from different business. example Chick-fil-A. Zaxbys, all kinds of different kinds of drinks, ice cream, pretty anything the students and teachers want to sell.

Well just to give to a run down on all we do today to make this happen. First Jeanne has the students make up whatever she wants them to sell. Hey, we have sold egg rolls, hot dogs, hamburgers. I know there are a few more things we have made to sell. I just can't think of them yet. But to tell you the best selling was the egg rolls.
I bring in 5 plastic tables. pails coolers (home) and whatever else she might need. We bought a 10ft x 20 ft. carport tent for just this event. I ask for a couple of her students to come with me to set everything that is needed for Carnival. It takes about 45 minutes to set up the tent and tables in place. Then I need to get the money out we need for selling tickets. Jeanne set up racks to carry out the items we are selling. Oh, we do all this in the courtyard in the middle of the school. Which you can see by the pictures what I am talking about. Then sell until 6th period if over and then have to break down. The sad part is all the students need to get on their buses and get home. So, Jeanne and I are pretty much the ones that do the break down. Hey, it's fun doing this each month, but I can tell you this, I am very happy we only do this once a month.
At the end after breaking everything down and loaded where everything goes. Then we get to go home and relax. (5:30pm) Today was a little harder than normally. It seems like we are always doing something.  I am so glad I am retired; I really look back and see wow, I am busier now than when I use to work.
All I can say is I am so happy that I get to help my little girl out and we can work together and make things happen.
It really comes down to who we really are working for.
MY PRAYER IS TO BRING GLORY TO GOD AND SERVE HIM TO THE BEST I CAN.
My Bible reading is still in The Book of Deuteronomy. Folks I could recap and tell you about the law and all that is going on in this book, but there is much I still don't understand. So, I thank The Lord each day I get to read and just enjoy Him speaking to me.
My prayer is that you take some time and just read something today, in His Word.

Okay this is after I redid all the flower beds and around the trees.

As you look at this closer, you will see the weeds are growing up again.
All I can do about the weeds is just spray with Round Up when Jeanne is not home.
Please don't tell her.

Boy I hate weeds. I will keep trying to get rite of them.

Around our home is a lot of trees and flower beds. About 4 years ago, I had the red mulch around everything. So, I tried putting rocks down around everything.

Okay lets try taking all the rocks out and put them on the side of the house. Prayerfully I will make a pad with these rocks to put the boat onto. So, instead of just putting the old rocks somewhere for now. Ad least it a plan for now. I dug up around every tree and flower beds, a took all the rocks out and put them along side of the house and see what happens next. Oh, I replaced the rock with black mulch. Now when I started doing this, I bought 18 bags of black mulch at Home Depot. $8.00 a bag. Which comes to $136.00. Now I just started with the rose garden out front of the house. This might be a little fortune.
I thought wow, now what? I called a place Midway Landscape. They sell black mulch. One square yard is $35.00. I needed 3 full yards to get everything covered.

I have been working on this for a week trying to get all the rocks out of here and piled them up around the oak tree in back.

Hey this was not a piece of cake to do. I just kept everyday trying to move about 10 to 15 wheelbarrows full. I finished up last night. Boy this sure was a milestone to get done. I am so happy to see how nice it is. I am going thru the pictures I took and realized I didn't take any of the black mulch beds and trees. This week I will take them and do another blog maybe Tuesday morning.
Now my question is what I put down to store the boat on to. I am thinking a rock they call #57. It's a white rock about 3/4" to 1".
Today my reading, still in Deuteronomy 11 -12. Folks I realize this book is the recap of Exodus when God gave Israel. So, I will not bore you with it that.
All I ask is that you keep seeking Him and He is right alongside of you, even now.

Folks there are many pictures here. We left Monty and his family and drove over the bridge to Paradise Island.

You are looking at Atlantis.    This is the entrance to The Royal. Beautiful fountain.   We came back to the Atlantis Marina. Here are many ...
