That right Scooby's truck is back on the road.

As the day was going by. I took Kevin back to his mom's place, so he could get his jobs done. That way he could spend the night and go with me to Single's. Which it did happen. But while Kevin was cleaning and feeding the animals. Scooby and I went over to Jaws Beach. We got there and only saw a couple of people. The water is cold and there was a cool breeze too. But I ran into a couple of guys that are bird watchers. They have been at our place many times. (ALC) You know to go in back of our property and just walk around and take pictures an just look for different ones. Well yesterday they were out at Jaws Beach. Paul was showing me the different kinds of ducks and even some birds with his telescope. They really were pretty.
Okay Scooby and I went for a walk and got maybe 1/2 mile and we turned back. He was slowing down. I did want to kill him. Remember he is 91 years old now. That if you figure by dog years. 13 man years.
Then we stopped at the store for the pop for Single's, just looked up and saw so many planes in the air. I just love looking up and taking in all  that there is. I know sometimes we just keep our heads down and push forward. But as we are getting a little older each day, PLEASE take a minute and just look up and see the clouds and all that He has made for us to look at.

That right our Single;s group is back.

Last night we had a chance to come together again for a new year. Veda was not sure who was coming? The reason was she told me that no one called to let her know if even we were having singles last night? I guess we all  just think, yes. Even myself, I didn't call her until yesterday morning asking what would you like for me to bring? She asked for pop and ice. No problem. So Kevin and I got there a little earlier than normal. We meet at 6:30pm, we got there at 6:04pm. So we had a chance to get some what caught up a little. Then our people started coming in, one at a time. But at the end we had our normal bunch. It really was nice to see their smiling face again. These guys are real friends and family even. Sometime it is hard to get everyone out at night time. I know myself, just stay home and relax. But I am sure glad we all made a effort to make last night. We watched a movie on Nelson Mandela, Long Walk To Freedom. At first I thought why? But after watching it, it really started getting good. But during the movie, it seemed like every one had some thing to say DURING IT. But in the end we really did enjoy our time.
If you like to understand more about how the Blacks really tried to get the same freedom as the whites. You will really enjoy this one.
The really freedom we should be looking for is freedom in our Lord Jesus Christ, that is FREEDOM.
I was watching this movie, thinking how much Nelson was walking with Christ? But in this movie, there was no signs of that. But like Veda was saying last night, this movie was made by a man, maybe he doesn't have  Jesus as his Lord, in his life?

Okay enough about BOB

Last night Bob, Faye and myself had a chance to go to our favor take out. Bamboo Shack. Hey I really think this palce makes the best Jerk Chicken in Nassua. I am not speaking for them, but I think they do too. They get the breast snack. With NO HOT Sauce. It is so nice to just relax and enjoy a quit meal togehter. If you have been watching my blog at all, Bob has been the main guy in all most all of them, NOW I get to show off his little woman. This is Faye his better half. She has been trying to keep the sheet and every thing that can be washed, cleaned. She has a heart to serve and what ever it is she loves to do it. I have been very blessed to have her around while I was the Camp guy a couple of times. She keep the place clean and some what in odrer. She has a nake of folding and juist making the sheets look better.
We all here have been very blessed to have these two here and look forward in trying to make this place better. Faye when she speaks, she set her mind on it and shares her thoughts on pretty much anythink you want to talk about. That is a MOM'S HEART.
THANK YOU, YOU TWO

Doctor Bob found the problem.

That right that little plug that controls the crank shaft sensor was the trouble. I bought a new one and the engine kicked over and started right up.
Okay, I shut it off and tried again. No the starter stopped working. NOW WHAT. Guess what I did next, that right I took the starter back off and found out the small gear was not locked in any more. So we got back into the Ford Explorer and drove over to see my friend Patrick at Bay Street Garage one more time. I saw him talking with a couple of other guys down stairs. I asked if we could talk after he was done. No problem at all. On the way up to his office, he was telling us about Ford starters. There are three gears sizes for that one starter. So he took it apart again and put a finer gear on it. Then, they have this big machine that test pretty much any thing that is electric on a vehicle. He asked his partner to do a load test. I am thinking what is he talking about. Well Patrick held the starter down on this plate and turn the machine on. Which is cause the starter to spin. Mean while his partner held a long piece of wood and pushed it up against the gear and push hard, you could smell the wood burning and see smoke too. Patrick said that should do it. I was thinking and praying he was right. Just think for a minute, now we have tried 2 out of 3 gears. The odds are getting better.
Got back to the ALC and put it on and it seams to be just right now. I tried and start it three or four times. Plus drove it this morning around the island and shut it off again and again. Started right up.
I really not sure when this starter problem really started acting up. Thinking back in April of last year I needed to replace it. Which I did. After that I would hear something like two gears trying to mesh. But loud noises instead. Back then Dawins, told me the fly wheel was shot. So they replaced it. After getting it back. It still made that loud noise. I just left it a lone and said it will mesh after a while? So, if you have been reading my blog, this last week I have just wasted my time taking everything apart and putting it all back together again.
IT AS BEEN THE STARTER IN THE BEGINNING.
I have been using the wrong gear and that is why. Maybe I should blame the auto part store I bought the new one. So please if you ever change a starter, count the teeth on the gear first thing. Then make sure the teeth number matches the new starter.
I thank the Lord for just putting people like Doctor Bob and Patrick in my life to show me,
 I DON"T KNOW IT ALL.

No, this is not modern art. I guess it could BE?

This is our Troy Built lawn motor. If you go back you can see how rough it really was before. There was holes every where. Plus the plate was bent too. If you look at the two hole in the middle, that is where the bearings go for the blades. Before Bob started the plate it self was so bent up. Bob is not a artist, but a man that knows how to weld. It might not look that pretty, but it should do the job. Bob now has to fix the shafts that hold the blades in place. They were some what worn out too. I am sad to say I did replace them. Like every thing around here, we give it our best shot.  Hopefully by the end of the day this should be up and running?

Who many people does it take to break something more?

Well Michell came out yesterday and told us that the laminator was jammed up. You know, the plastic is stuck. So I looked at it and asked Bob what he thought? To cut to the chase, while working it, some one hit a transistor and broke it off. Garage now. It is funny to just see how we as a team can work together.
Thank you Lord for our missionaries that come to help us.

Up date on my little truck

It has been over a week now and we think we know the problem. Just to get you back up to speed. Last Thursday truck ran great and then it stalled out. Would not start again. I have taken the front end of the engine apart to check things out. We thought at first it was the starter. That LOOKED okay. Then Bob thought it was the crank shaft sensor. Replace it. Now it has to be the timing belt. HAS TO BE. There is nothing left. So took it all apart and found nothing wrong. Now what? Took starter off again and took it to Patrick at Bay Street Garage. He told me that is the problem. Okay he repaired it and I put it back in on Wednesday and it starter up,GREAT. Now yesterday I was putting the engine back together. All ready to start it up. NOTHING. It will turn over BUT not start. NOW WHAT? Bob and I put some starter fluid in the carb. It must be the spark. Maybe I pulled a wire off while putting it together? Bob said let us look at the cranking sensor. He was thinking I might have pulled the wires off of that. So the picture above shows the plug. Maybe it is fried? Today we will see what happen. I will go down to AID and buy another plug?
Oh Lord help us figure this out.

Okay it is REAL CHEESE or Cheese favored?

It tells me on the top, REAL cheese?

Jen is not playing in the middle of traffic.

Yesterday morning we had a chance to hand out these fliers above to the folks that get up early and drive to work or school. So as it goes, Jen and I were working together on this. What we do is, stand on the side of the road and just hand out these real nice card that Kim made up. Just tell the folks that we will be starting a IMAX show at the ALC in February. Needed to call in advance to make sure there is enough seats. The reason I say that is, our planetarium area only has 40 seats in it. For this kind of show. If you want to have a great sit. please call in advance and it will be there for you.
After that we had a chance to get a nice breakfast. It really was fun to see all the people out and just say Good Morning. At first Jen was walking all the way up Blue Hill and handing them out. I just stood on the bottom of the hill and handed them out. So she was do my job too. But after she ran out of flyer's she came back and we worked alone side. I really think she had some fun doing it. I know at first you might be a little nervous, but after a you do it a couple of times. Piece of cake.

Mr Eric is learning how to replace a rotor, plus.

We got these parts in a while back. Just have not had time to replace them. So yesterday Eric took on to himself to do the job. Which he did very well. But one sad part, all the parts went on okay but still have a problem with the pedal going to the floor. So Bob looked at it and said, the brake booster needs to be replace now. Hey maybe 8 months ago, we had other people look at it and said it needed a master cylinder. Rebuilt it, still troubles. Bought a new one. Still. Okay order other brake parts on line. Got the wrong ones. I went over to Ft Laud. Bought new brake calibers, rotor, pads. That is what Eric replaced yesterday. Now we need a brake booster. That will have to be ordered on line. Hopefully these number above match the ones on line. We will see what happens.
Hey we did tried to disconnect the vacuum hose that goes to the booster. That made it worst. Just have to drive slower and not to close to the car in front of you.

We had a chance yesterday to get some work done.

We had a couple of items on our list to get done. First the Ocean bus had a flat tyre. So Mark and I got that off and repaired it. There was a large screw buried in the tread. Got it out and then put grease around the bead and welah it blew up and now back in the bus. Oh one of the studs was stripped. So while Bob and I where out bought one plus nut. All is great for that project. Tim built us a new A frame sign. Plus even primed it. Then Bob is still welding his little heart away on the Troy Built lawn mower. There is so many holes and just trying to get it some what back in line. That is what the big problem is, it is just rusted so bad. I have tried to buy a new deck for it. But have been told no longer making that model. So Bob pretty much has to rebuild the whole ting. If you look back you can see more pictures on how far he has come. Plus Tim and I used a wire wheeel on cleaning up the L brackets for the new gate. That right we still have not finish that project. Hopefully by next week the John Deere will be up and we should be able to replace the gate. Ad least one side. The reason I say that is, we need to get the old one down and take the hinges off the top and bottom, clean them up and then put them back on the new gate. Had all kinds of problem trying to get new ones built, just thought let us use the old ones. They are not in bad share.

Miss Loren is flying home.

This is Felicia, Loren, Tim and Bob. Yesterday Loren was flying out to go back home to Wis, I think? She has been helping at the All Saint Camp. She stays with the Ryans when she is here, I am not sure how long they have known each other, but I did hear them call her daughter.

Cute story, I think?

A couple of nights ago, I was sleeping and woke up and saw Scooby sitting next to my bed. Looked at him and asked what would you like? He just sat there. I got up and thought maybe the floor is to cold for him? So I got out a towel and thur it on the floor. He walked over and laid down on top of it. I guess he just thought about me in bed all warm and wrapped up, why doesn't he have some thing warm to lay on. I am not sure but I know even last night that is where he slept again.
I am very blessed to be able to have such a great dog. He has been part of my life now for over 4 years. It really is neat to wake up and see his tail wagging away. Just his loyalty he has for me. I can walk any where around and he loves to follow me. I know how much he loves the truck to ride in, but that is still down. Hopefully by this week-end we have it up running again. I took the starter over to Patrick at Bay Street Garage. He told me that the starter needs to be rebuilt, that is such a great news. My prayer is I put it back in and it runs great again. I will keep you in the loop. It has been down since last Thurday. Man how I miss it. You know, I am hungry, I will drive over to the stiore and get something to eat, NOT.

Okay we are not running a Day Care?

Yesterdays plans have been changed. There are 50 students and leaders still here staying at the Camp. They were to fly out last night at 6pm. But Jet Blue has shut down their flight in New York, which means the flight that leaves NY. was suppose to fly down here and over to Fort Lauderdale, Fl. But maybe on Thursday the say the flight will be running then. So yesterday, Faye did some wash for the students and leader. Last night they drove off before dinner, not sure where they when. But got home around 9pm. Today is still open to what the leaders want them to do. We did talk about work projects. But have not heard any thing since yesterday. Oh well, they are save and sound staying here until Jet Blue gets things flying again.

Now that is a pro shot.

You will see below how I take pictures. The reason is I talked about how I just shoot and let it go. But yesterday Mindy wanted the best shot. So now you can see how a pro take pictures compared to mine. Hey Mindy takes her time lining up the picture. I just aim and shoot. That okay too, the reason is I just love to share pictures on my blog. Which I know she does too. Really looking at this picture while writing this up, it really is a nice shot.

Our sewer problems have been fixed

We had to call in a pump truck in. That is a tanker that sucks up the bad stuff. After two trip to the dump he got it all cleaned up. Looking back I am not sure why this happen. But we have used this bath room now for over a year and half. So I guess every once a year or so we will need to suck our tank out and make room. If you think about having 96 people us a bathroom every day. I guess that adds up? So after spending $200.00 it is worth it.
Hey just think if we needed to use out old bath house??? Now that would be a big problem. Hey looking back, maybe not, we use to have the kids take showers with our graden hoses. The reason was there was only tow showers on each side. Oh there was some troubles usaully after the thrid day. The toilets would back up. It is funny, but i have seen it happen over and over and over again. Studnets are not that cofoortable going to the bath room until they have to. So on the thrid and four day the toilets would be backed up. All I that to do was push a 20 foot piece of PVC throw the main line and clear it out. Then call the pump guys and hav it pumped out. We are so blessed to have what we have and just thank our Lord every day for that alone.

I have been looking for a old shot of the bath house we use to use. Tomorrow I will share that one.

Trying to get 96 people in a picture

It is so funny how taking a picture can be a challenge. After the buses returned they want Mindy to take a group shot of every one. So now let us try to make it happen. I looked on an took a couple of shots and left. Mindy keep pushing them together more and making sure the shot was just right. Which last night she showed me that it did happen. It is neat to be able to look back and see how many people come through our gates here and stay with us. I have been very blessed to have seen many myself. As of June 2 of this year I have been here 9 years. Boy where does the time go? It really doesn't seem that long ago I came here. But I am still here and am blessed.

Yes we are eating again.

Last night was a time to come together and enjoy some tacos. Plus we sat around the table and had a nice chat. Afterwards the Ryans had a chance to share about how and why they are here. They were part of a group that comes here duirng the Summer time, Mission Discovery. Well they came during one of their trip here and helped out at the All Saints Camp. At the time they keep thinking about maybe they should sell every thing they have and move here and serve there? So about three or could be four, years ago, that is what they did. Packed up every thing and move here to the Bahamas. So while they have been here helping out at All Saints Camp, they come over to our property ALC and help us during Tuesday. Like today Tim will be working along side of Bob and myself. Still not sure what we will be working on? There are two more book shelves that Mindy want us to build for the cottage b. You will see what happens tomorrow, God willing.
The one real neat thing that has happen since they got here. Now they have two children that they adopted from here. That is Shallow and Rachelle. At first they were part of the All Saints Camp, their mommy lived there with them. At the time Tim and Felicia started caring for them. You know taking them to the movies and going out for dinner. Then their mom passed away. So as God worked this all out. Now Tim and Felicia are mommy and daddy. It really is a heart tugging story how God just put every thing in order and now Tim and Felicia are parents.

Had a great dinner last night.

Ran out of time today. Have to drive bus now.

I had a chance yesterday morning to take one small group to church.

It really was kind of fun. I saw some people I knew there and had a chance to get caught up a little. Had coffee and sat down. Good praise worship. Then Rev.James a small service for his family members, like a baptism.
The he spoke on 1 Corinthians 1:1 to 9. Which talks about the body of Christ, CHURCH.Then he went to Romans 12:3,  How we need to use our talents and services to bring glory to His name. You know not every one is a preacher, but someone can serve. Some people have the heart to deal with children. Then there are people like myself that enjoy fixing tings. So each and every one of us have some kind of a talent. I enjoyed it because we as a church fall short each time there is a work project. Or there is a need to teach children during Sunday school. Or even think about the parking lot, where do you FIT?

This last Sunday was very special day,

Okay this is our niece, Shaunesi. Today she is becalming that she is a follower of Jesus Christ and invited the family to be her witness.   ...
