This day,Tim,Dr Bob and I finished up the gate's hardware.

On Wednesday we got the second gate up. But had some trouble with a little over lapping. So Tim came back in this morning and made it look beautiful. After Tim left, Bob and I worked on putting the right piston back on. Boy we had to re drill those hole ad least three times. The reason was they just would not line up correctly. Plus the sun was beating down on us. It just was not a fun job at all. But at the end we won the battle.
Then you can see how Eric and Shawn worked on the cage. They put a wire mesh over the cage itself. The reason the smaller animals can get out. Plus this is great for when I have to bring lambs and sheep to different places during the year. It the long run this will make out lives go a little easier. Ardastra Gardens gave us 4 peacocks and two hens. So those two had to go pick them up. They had to make two trips too. It really is neat to see how our Lord blesses us with more animals. I will take some pictures today of the peacocks and hens.
Mean while Mr Billy stopped by to bring us gifts. Hey I don't care what people say about him, he really has a great heart of sharing. I am just joking about what people say about him. Do people talk about me?

Thats right part two of our gate tings.

After our devotion time, it is show time. We took down the old gate on the right hand side now. Bob had to do some welding on the hinges and put in a couple of pieces of pipe for the pins to set on. Plus we even put in grease fittings. A sad note, I really am trying to help here, put I started to put on the new L brackets on the wrong area. So now, we have a couple of extra holes under the hinge there. It is some times hard for me to focus on all that goes on around here. I think one thing and start, then find out NO. I need to help when asked too. I look and think here I can help out. Okay looking around and seeing, I think we are done with a tool. I pick it up and put it away, now Tim ask where is that tool? Folks I really do love when people come to help us and all they do. But sometimes I feel like I am watching more than working. I really do want to help. Just like Bob, he knows how to weld, I can hold things for him and clean things up. But he is the welder. Tim is the same, he loves working with wood, I wish I had his skill. But I don't. So as people come and go through our gates here, I just want to say thank you very much.
Okay now back to the gate.Tim finished the gate with the L brackets and hinges. Now time to bring it up front and put it in. Mean while Eric stopped by to help us too. I am very blessed to have even Shawn and Mark be willing to help us. So the gate is up and let us see what happens. There is a small problem, nothing we (Tim) could not fix. The doors are hitting on the top. The old pins we are using are worn down and there really is nothing we can do except work with what we have. So Tim had to do a little trimming. It will finished up today. Tim told me that he would stop by this morning (maybe afternoon). To make it look beautiful. I am so blessed to have some great guys like Tim and Bob and to call them friends too.

Up date on Scooby.

You can see he is doing much better. He still has some breathing problems but, every day he has a smile on his face. Plus the coughing problem is still here on and off. I have been giving him cough syrup. He really doesn't enjoy that part. I take it and put into a bowl with some milk. Now a couple of days ago, I ran out of the stuff I was giving him, Day and Night. So Bob offer me another kind, Buckley's. Now if you ever had that one, wow it is the worst tasting syrup out there. I gave some to Scooby  with milk, NO WAY. I filed the bowl up with more milk. He drank it then. So now I am using gel pills, Mindy gave me some a couple of days ago. They seem to work just as good. Much easier to feed to Scooby.
Thank you for your prayers, please, I am asking God to be the one to finish what He started.

Well you can see we started, no turning back now!

That right the one of the old gates are coming down. It didn't start out that well at first. The battery on the John Deere was dead. Now last week Bob and I put a used battery in. Remember we replace the batteries on the new school bus? Well one of the still had life, I thought? Just put the changer on and it started right up. We got it off and took in back, next to the trailer. We are using the old hinges. So taking them off and cleaning them up, then painting them too. Oh plus Bob had to cut out some steel on the hinge. The reason was he welded in a piece of 1" steel pipe. This way the hole will not wear out so fast the next time. Now remember these gates have been up for a while now, guessing 1993. You can see how real bad they are in the last picture. The sad part was my camera went dead too. You know these smart phones, the battery life is not that great. Another battery went dead again too, the John Deere, DON'T SHUT IT OFF?????
We got the new gate up and it fits great. The other side is hanging down a little, so we had to put a board under it so the new gate fit. Got it all back together and we get to do it again today, God willing.

Now you have a idea on what we will be doing today?

Last night before I went home. I made up a sling for removing the gate. Hope and with Prayer this will be replaced today. These gates weight about 500 pounds. So we got to make sure the cable is strong enough. Plus will the John Deere be able to pick it up? If you have been watching my blog, now you have a idea on how and why it takes us so long to do jobs around here. Remember we fixed the John Deere last week? So like I said, the new gate should be up and running by the end of the day.

This was our afternoon job.

Tim came over around 3:30pm and Bob and him worked on his van. There was a small rust hole next to the windshield. So Tim sanded it down and then sprayed so rust fighting stuff. It really does work, just spray it on and leave a alone for a couple of hours and the rust is gone. Sorry not sure of the name. But now there is this bigger hole in Tim's van. Dr Bob got out his small welder and went to work. He tack the tin down on the side of the door. While pushing the tin under the rubber for the window. At the end it looked okay. Now it needs some bon do then spray paint and it will be all fixed again.

Okay now we can see all that is needed to do!

It has been a while since we have had time to even look at this trolley. If you remember back, the front end broke off. So now as our time of winding down, should say Bob's. We really need to start building a new one. So today I will be ordering the steel and we will see what happens.

Do you think Mark loves his son, Adam? I know he does.

On Saturday afternoon when we were waiting around for the groups to come in, Mark was being Mark. He has been throwing Adam up in the air for many times. Adam just laughs and trust his daddy. Hey this is how it is with our Dad, God. He has us in His hands every day. When He throws us up in the air, we question  Him. Are you going to caught us? We all need to trust Him even more today.

Hey I found out the score of the game last night, if you didn't know by now, 48 Seahawks/ 8 Denver.

Guess where we were last night?

That right Kevin and I spent a little time at the Ryan's home. You know what was going on? Well let me tell you, The Super Bowl #48, silly.Hey Tim asked me what the Roman numbers will be next year? Well I really was not sure, I know IX means 9. But Tim explan it would be IL next year. Being L is 50. Even learned a little too. We sat around and watched the game and just got some what caught up on what has been happen. You Kevin was sharing about his trip and all that happen there. That is what they are looking at above here. Kevin took around 300 pictures and love s to share. Like I have said before, he has a taste now of what the states are like and prayerfully he will keep looking for a job and save his money. He tells me he has been out looking so far nothing has happen. Our Lord has him in His hands and I know it will happen, maybe not as fast as we would like. But we trust Him and He has never failed us.
About the game, well we left at the 3rd quarter. The score was 36 Sea Hawks and 0 Denver. I wll look right after I get off here and see what happen next.
Folks I use to love to watch football with my dad and after he passed, it really doesn't make that much difference who wins or looses. It is fun to watch and that is pretty much it, it is a game.

Okay do you guys remember me telling you about our NEW SHOW?

Well yesterday was our opening. Hey the crowds were not what we thought. But there was a some people that came out. Which I am very happy to see. Here in the Bahamas, it takes time to get all the people on board. Now if we said Fun Day, the place would be packed. But right now, it was a slow start. Hopefully Feb 15th will be a better. But as for me, I really enjoyed it. I had a chance a couple of times to see it. But needed to do some thing else at the time. So I know the pictures are not that great, ad least you haved a idea of what this is about. Hey for me, it reminded me a of a trip my first wife Cheryl and I took back in 1978. The place is called the Ohio Pile, I think. It is localed between Pa. and Ohio. There is a river that flows very fast through that area. During our time there, we had a ball, riding the rapids. It really was a trill to go down a river so fast and not sure if you were going to fall out of the raft or not? You ride on the side of the raft. The reason is you have to paddle your way through the river. Trying to keep from running into the banks. Okay enough on that. Please if you live here in the Bahamas, come on out and check it out. It is worth your time and money. It is only $6. for kids and $8.00 for us big people.
Oh one more ting. The reason is not really to show a movie, it is to share God's Word and Love with you. Remember why is the Adventure Learning Centre here? The Great Commission, Share God's WORD.

Okay explain?

This is my inter net last night. Look at the times. Now I didn't do any thing between those times. It just comes and goes. I have had the cable guys out a couple of times. They said they can fit it? Why is it NO FITTED?

Now this morning is up and running. has not gone down at all. Now you guys can see why I blog some days and not others. If you have been watching my blog, you know how much I really enjoy sharing.

My day didn't start out well at all, BUT FINISH GREAT!

The night before my buddy Scooby has not been breathing well at all. I knew that there are sores on his throat and other parts of his body. I have been praying for God to heal him or stop his little heart from going on. I really don't want him to suffer at all. You know while you lay in bed you listen and hear that cough, then he tries to get his breath back. I am making this sound worst than it really was. It hard to explain. But we woke up yesterday morning and I kept asking God what should I do? I love my buddy here, but I don't want him to suffer at all So asking and praying, I came back home after devotions and loaded him up. He was doing pretty good. But I still was praying Lord please! We went for a drive to the beach and walked around a little. Then I saw a young couple there, asked them to take a picture for me. After that we loaded back up in the truck and on our way to the Bahamas Humane Society. I called early to see what they thought? Said bring him in and see. We sat there and it felt like hours. But called his name and we walked in. First thing was they weight him. 129.5 #. WOW, I thought, they did too. Okay they checked him out and said, let us try giving him some meds and see what happens. They didn't have the right stuff, so they called around and found someone that did. They did not charge me any thing. Left with some hope now. Got there and talked with the vet, he gave him a shot and said he will be okay for a while, a month or so. Plus gave me some other meds. We loaded back up in the truck and I was praises my LORD. Thank you Jesus for this time and I know down the road I will have to travel it again, but my prayer is still Lord he is Yours and You do what has to be done, PLEASE.
Happy ending for today. He slept pretty good last night. Still a little problem, but he is in HIS hands.

Another wonderful day to say we did our best.

While Bob and Faye have been here, we try to go out to dinner on Friday nights. So last night I was thinking Chinese. So we drove over to the VIP Chinese on Village and Soldier Roads. It was a nice chance for me. I have not been out here for a while now. I think last time was with Kevin a couple of months ago.
Okay back what happen this week. The trolley is our main job now. We have the saw horses made and ready to see what is next to do? So while I was gone a little while yesterday, Bob kept trying to tear the old one apart. The fiber glass parts are now some what loose. So hopefully Monday we can get those pieces off and real look at what steel we need to order.
Mean while Faye has been trying to fix up their home now. She put a coat of paint on the floor yesterday. It really does look pretty good. Now my prayer is will it last for a little longer than three years. That is what we did a couple of years ago. Cleaned the floor with TSP and pressure washed it and then painted it. Some of it has peeled up. But Faye is not worry about that. It will look good for a while.

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
