Well I went to the dentist up this way.

Yes I got my teeth cleaned and some X rays. Cost me $89.00  plus a fluoride treatment $43.00= $132.00. The dentist came out and told me that I need some work on one tooth. He showed me the tooth and and the x ray telling me that the two fillings that hold the tooth together needs to get a crown over the top of it. Then afterwards they handed me this break down sheet on the cost of what is needed. $1599.00. Then I sat with one of the accountant there and she was telling me that. If I sign up with their VIP discount program. It would cost $199.00. I would get two cleaning and x rays and then 20% off any of the work that is needed. So at the end she told me that it would ONLY cost $1253.60 plus the $199.00 = $1452.60. I am thinking how MUCH?????
So the next day I called my dentist I was going to down in Fort Lauderdale. When I was working at Calvary Chapel.
They told me that I could come on down on Thursday morning and see what they can do for me. I left on Thursday morning at 8 am. To be down there by 11 am. Thinking I should have about half hour to play with.

As driving south I ran into this traffic jam. It was only a construction area. It slowed me down for about 20 minutes.
I did call the office and told them I might be late?

If you can see the sign here? It saids NO TRESPASSING. This area is cleaned by FDOT.
Please remove all personal items. If you look you can see someone's clothes hanging on the fence.
This is Broward Blvd exit. This is the one that goes to my dentist office.
This area has always been a homeless area. Years ago. heading east. There was three tents set up by the Bus Station, for them and even families stayed there.
The tents are gone but the homeless is still here and down town, Fort Lauderdale.

This is a bridge that goes over the New River (I think) Roads are tore up and getting some thing new.

This is my dentist office. I was 5 minutes late.
After talking with the staff for a little while. You know getting caught up on their lives and what is new. My dentist had a baby since the last time I saw her. She is such a delight to be around.
Well she looked and told me that I only need to get the filling replaced. So how much will that cost?
Well I didn't give them my health card when I got there. The reason the dentist up here told me that I don't have dental insurance.  So they told me it would cost $75.00 for the office visit. Then $325.00 for the filling. I thinking GREAT. Then I asked the office manger to try using my health card. She came back and told me that they will pay the $300.00.

You can see they gave me a $300.00 credit towards my HSA account. I was so happy to hear that and was very happy to get the tooth repaired and I am doing great. I have another appointment on Nov 20th at 11 am. I sure am looking forward in coming back south. Just to save some money and see my favor dentist.
Praise our Lord and thank you so much for wisdom to think out side the box.
I saved over $1100.00.

WHAT FEAR IS IN YOUR LIFE TODAY?

Fear is something that we all experience at some time in our lives. Our bodies cope by sending a surge of adrenaline rushing through us as a “flight or fight” mechanism and we feel ‘wired’.  There are so many things of which we are fearful; it may be losing our job, being in a violent relationship, or perhaps the realization of the imminent loss of a loved one.  The fear of what is happening in the world with regards to global warming is frightening to many people.  We are experiencing so many changes in our weather leading to extremes of temperature, devastating cyclones and floods.
When we are gripped by fear we are robbing ourselves of the potential to be all that God intends us to be.   I am not trivializing these fears, but I do want to emphasis one of God’s many promises to us.
For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7
Some translations read “self-control” instead of “a sound mind” and I relate more to those words.  I know that when I am fearful I cannot think straight, I panic and totally lose my direction. I no longer focus and forget that God has given me the power, love and self-control to overcome any stifling fear.  We need to commit these words of Timothy to our memory so that when we are faced with situations beyond our control, we can rise above our fears and know that we have been given the power and the love to overcome.
Prayer: Lord, help me to be strong and to turn to you when I am fearful.  When I am afraid help me to remember your promise of power, love and a clear mind so that I may always be what you wish me to be, an instrument of Your peace and Your love.   Amen.

Be anxious for nothingShare
Anxiety is a meteor shower of what-ifs. The sky is falling, and it’s falling disproportionately on you. Anxiety ain’t fun! One would think Christians would be exempt from worry but we are not. It’s enough to make us wonder if the apostle Paul was out of touch with reality when he wrote in Philippians 4:6, “Be anxious for nothing.”
Is that what he meant? Not exactly. He wrote the phrase in the present active tense—implying an ongoing state. “Don’t let anything in life leave you perpetually breathless and in angst.” The presence of anxiety is unavoidable, but the prison of anxiety is optional. Could you use some calm? Of course you could. We all could! We all could use a word of comfort and God is ready to give it.

Yes Halloween is here tonight.

This display was at Vero Beach Mobile Home Supply, last week. I really though it reminds me of a (Very bad white trash) trailer park. Nothing like our park. But I thought it was kinda neat.
The only thing I had planned for this evening was playing darts. Now the church I have been going to, The Crossing. They are having their Trunk and Treat Night tonight. People use the back on their car trunk and fill it up with candy and just hand it out.  I kinda wish I could have gone to that to help out. But this is our first night of the Dart League. I am on a team this year.

This is Mary our captain of our team. We have Pat, Judy and me as #16 Team. The reason is this year they wanted to get a even number of teams and this way there would not be a BYE WEEK. That means one week of the season someone has to sit out and not play that week. But as now we have 16 teams. So it all works out great now. If you look back to last (2016) Summer, I was playing darts then. But as the Snow Birds come back the league starts up again. Last year I was a sub player, but as I worked at Winn-Dixie, I could not play on Tuesday nights, because I worked those evening.

You can look around and say, where is the 16 teams? Well there is a schedule. Which is below.

Now you can see how this works. There are three (3) time slots and three dart boards. So it works out pretty good, if we finish on time? This night was a long one. The reason was we have trouble with getting thru one game, in a hour. But there was no one coming in for the late game. They for fitted. Not enough players. So as the night went on. We as #16 team won both games. I was very lucky in the first game. Then Pat won the second game for us.
So as the NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK, WE RULE.
It really is by His grace I won the first game. HE DID. Praise Him.

We are getting some what caught up.

Okay on Monday I didn't take any picture of the job we did. This is Marie's shed in back of her home. I repaired this right after the hurricane distorted it. I could not find the insulation to put back up. So I just covered it up with the siding. After wards Marie asked why she could see light coming though the siding. I told her that i didn't put up any more insulation.
She asked if I could put it up now?
So Roy and I went to Lowes and got one sheet of insulation and screwed it in with fern strips. It came out better than I thought it would. The reason I say that is, I was not going to take the siding back down and start all over again. So we just cut the size and screwed them in with fern strips. I forgot to take a picture afterward's.
so that was our Monday.

On Tuesday we started a new job. This is at Bobbie's home. She has a CB home and the screens keep getting cut by the weed eater, the lawn service guys.

So we started out with the screen door. Which was the hardness one to replace. The reason was the spine was the wrong one. We could not find the one that was in there already. So I just bought the smallest round spline that Lowes had. It worked, but it was very hard to push into the channel. But at the end it looked great.

This is #2 repair. It is a small size screen but it needs the heavier spline. It went in so much more easily. I can tell you this, The Lord really did this job. If you know me, I get started and try to make it tight. I did screens back in the Bahamas, (ALC) and these were screen windows. So if you make it too tight, after a while it will bow in. Then pull the screen inward.

Just have to move on down to the next opening on the bottom. It really turned out to go pretty easily.

Now to fix the real problem. The weed eater cutting the screen in the first place. We put up Dog Ear fencing. Cut it to the size needed and screwed it in to the aluminum poles.

It came out looking really good. There was one more thing to do. Where the boards didn't have a pole at, we put a small piece of lumber in between them and then painted them again. I will take a picture today (Friday) of the after protect. We are going back over to Bobbie's home to do a little more work on the inside.
Praise Him for the brains He has given us and to understand how to repair things each days of our lives.
Now if He would help me with my personal things I deal with? I know He is and it is in HIS TIME.

Make sure we stand STRONG IN HIM

How Your Courage and Character Grow

“Never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord . . . With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News” (2 Timothy 1:8 NLT).
Standing up for God when you’re afraid isn’t just the right thing to do.
It also builds your faith and your character.
Reputation is what you want people to think you are. Character is what you really are. Character is who you are when no one is watching.
Character and faith are like muscles. The only way you build a muscle is by stressing it. That’s what we do in weightlifting. When you lift weights, you’re straining your muscle, you’re stretching your muscle, and you’re stressing your muscle. Your muscle doesn’t grow unless it’s strained, stretched, and stressed.
The same is true with your “courage muscle.”
You’re not developing any spiritual, emotional, or relational muscle when you give in to fear instead of standing up to it. When you play it safe, and let fear win, you lose the courage to follow God’s will for your life.
When you stand strong for what God wants instead of buckling to fear, your courage grows.
Courage isn’t the absence of fear; it’s moving forward with what God wants anyway.
The Bible says, “Never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord . . . With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News” (2 Timothy 1:8 NLT).
What are you willing to do in order to be true to your faith? Are you willing to be teased? Are you willing to have someone look at you funny? Are you willing to have people gossip about you?
Historically, Christians have gone before lions and been crucified for their faith in Christ. Even today, people are being martyred for their faith. It’s much more common than you may realize.
Stand up for God. When you overcome your fears, your character grows, and your faith does too.
Talk It Over
  • When have others encouraged you by standing strong for their faith in Christ?
  • How have you seen your character grow by standing up for God’s ways?
  • As Pastor Rick asked in the devotional, what are you willing to do in order to be true to your faith?

Give hope, prayer, and encouragement below. Post a comment & talk about it.

It is crazy how fast each days goes by. But today is my Sabbath.

While coming home on Saturday evening, I thought why not fill the old truck up again. Hey for these prices how can you go wrong? That is correct, I paid $2.14 for a gallon of gas. Now this is Cunmberland Farms store. If you have a one of their debit cards you save $.10 a gas. Why spend more if you don't have to. The only bad part they are not in that many towns yet. So while up that way.

I picked this stuff up at the Dollar Store. It seams to help my little truck out. For a while now my truck is pinging at accelerate. I have mixed the grades of gas. You know fill only half of the tank 87%and then put a up grade in on top, like 89%. So I thought why not try this stuff. it definitely can not hurt her.

Hey I needed to hear the Word a couple of times today. I went to Calvary PSL, the earlier service. 8:25 am. Then drove over to Craig's south church The Crossing, for the 11 am service.
Pastor Mike is going thru the Book of Revelation chapter 20, which is about the Millennium 1000 years  rein of Christ.
Then at Pastor Craig's, service is in the Book of 1 John 2:12 plus. He was speaking of lust and the love of the world. Hey folks we are so much surrounded by all the evil in this world.
I just watched the news last night (Tuesday) and there was a senseless 8 murders, In New York City. the guy driving the Home Depot truck into folks riding their bicycles and walking along a bike path.
EVIL is destroying our freedom.

As I had time between the two services. I drove over to Aldi's grocery store. How can they only charge $2.79 for milk and $.99 for eggs. As I work at Winn-Dixie. We charge now $3.99  for milk and $1.39 for a dozen of eggs.
As the day winded down. I really enjoyed it and I pray that you all out there have the time with our Loving Lord each day and seek His face in all you DO.

I need to get out and enjoy myself, it is Saturday evening.

I saw the coming attractions and thought this might be funny and scary at the same time.
There is a dance happening at our club house tonight and I don't have a ticket. So I need to just chill somewhere else.

I bought my ticket and was about 20 minutes early. So I walked around a little and saw this older couple coming out of the movie that I bought the ticket for. I asked them, what did you think of it? They told me to go see something else, it was the worse movie they have seen in a while.
Well right next to the doors I was suppose to walk in. I saw BOO 2. Well what should I do?

I went next store and watched this one instead. It was okay, but for a Christian (Tyler Perry) The old man talks about his passed and it was not that funny. But at the end it was okay.
I kinda wish I went and saw the first one now?
Oh well maybe see it on Redbox.

As I ventured out on a bike ride.

I drove my truck to the Jetty on Hutchinson Island. I unloaded the bicycle. You can see I reset the mileage on the trip gauge. The reason is the battery went dead and replaced it. Mean while I have been still riding from here and there. Now I am heading south on A1A.

Just walked over to the Jetty and see what has been happening here.

Boy this beach sure gets washed out easily. Not sure but during the summer they pumped in sand to fill this beach up and all the way out to the waters edge. It is all washed away again.

This is such a beautiful ride, very little traffic and there was a nice breeze into my face heading south.

Got to the one beach and just laid down and tried to get some sun. But the cloud cover kept stopping it.

Then I looked up and saw these clouds coming in. Thinking maybe I need to get going back to the truck? So I rode back and it didn't rain at all. Praise HIM.

As I was pulling into the Jetty parking lot, I saw this huge Ford truck. That is correct 6 doors. Wow, you can carry the whole crew with you to work.

It really is surprising how the miles ad up. Plus it was a beautiful day to go out. The rain didn't come in until after 3 pm. Then it poured for that afternoon and night even.
My prayer is Lord let this day bring glory to You and safe travel.
I am very blessed to be able to ride and just enjoy the breeze on my back heading north again.

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
