Well another week is starting up.

I stopped over here on Friday afternoon. The young lady was telling me that there is a small leak under her sink. I looked at it and noticed the middle hose was dripping. Thinking this should not be a big deal. So I tried that afternoon to tighten it up, by just reaching up and getting a wrench on it. Well that didn't stop it. So I told her I would be back on Monday morning after my stretching class.

It was not as bad as I thought to get the lines off. Which I did and it should be a easy fix? I took the middle hose off and put Teflon tape on it and tighten it up. I caulked it all back in and it should be okay now.
Well at first I didn't see any leaks. But a minute or tow, I saw a small drip. I looked again and I guess it is the faucet itself that has a hole in it. I told Sandy I was very sorry but I think she needs a new one?
She showed me another project down the road. I told her when she gets the new faucet to call and we will fixed.

Now mean while, there is a tennis tournament is going on. I need to be on the court at 1:45pm. I got there at 12 noon and stayed and watched for until the time I needed to be there. 1:45. Then the rain came and they called the game off.

I will be playing on Friday and we will see what happens?
Folks I might have bitten off more than I can chew. I really am trying to get my body in shape and it hurts sometimes.

A Place of Blessing

Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.

Psalm 1:1-3
This passage begins our journey through the Psalms, a book written mostly by David, which is filled with turmoil and triumph, tears and joy, battles and victories. What a great declaration we read in the first few verses of this chapter, reminding us of the place of blessing we can have in our position of delighting in the Lord.
By the rivers of water,
This is where I want to be.
Wouldn’t you love to be like the tree in Verse 3 that is firmly planted by the rivers of water and is fruitful and prospers? Isn’t this the life we want to live in the Lord? This is the life He has promised to those who walk in close relationship with Him. It starts with a choice: Will we choose to follow the ways of an ungodly world, or will we choose to delight in the Lord?
What does “delighting in the Lord” mean?  It’s certainly more than having a casual relationship with Him. It happens as a result of consistently spending time building a rich and fulfilling relationship with God that leaves you wanting more. Spending intimate time with the Lord enables you to grow in a faith that is steadfast and firm. If you seek the Lord and follow after Him, you will delight in Him. To know Him is to delight in Him.
What is your desire? Do you long to be firmly planted by the rivers of water, solid and secure, delighting in the Lord day by day?

God Works for the GOOD

Ema“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

About some things, believers are absolutely sure. We know, for example, that God sits in the controls of the ship while it navigates the rockiest water. We believe that God’s invisible hand is always on us, and that wherever our world may drift, God is steering it.
This reassuring knowledge should prepare us for everything. We look at the raging water, and see the spirit of Jesus walking the waves. We hear a voice saying, “It is I, be not afraid.” (John 6:20)
We know that God is always wise, and so we are confident that there can be no accidents, no mistakes. Nothing can occur that God is somehow unaware is happening. We can truthfully say,
Even if I lose all I have, it is better that I lose it than have it, if God wills it. The worst calamity is the wisest and the kindest thing that could befall to me if God wills it.” We can say this because “we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him.”
Christians don’t just believe this as a theory, but instead know it as fact. Everything can work for good, such as when dangerous and deadly drugs, mixed in the right proportions, can become a powerful cure. Believing that God rules all, that He governs wisely, and that He brings good out of evil, our hearts will be assured. You and I are enabled to calmly meet each trial as it comes. Christians can, in the spirit of true surrender, pray, “Send me what you will, my God, so long as it comes from You. Never has there come an ill portion from Your table to any of Your children.”
Remember that God has servants everywhere, His method is holy, His heart profoundly kind, and His timing is always perfect.
Question: How can you think of examples of how God has used things in your life for good, even when the situation seemed bleak?

What a wonderful Saturday morning. Still chilly 43

I got up and saw this fantastic sunrise.
I went down to the tennis courts to warm up a little before I started playing at 8:30am

This is what they call the Soup and Bread Tennis Luncheon. Yes this was my first time playing in front of people sitting in the stands. I was not doing to good at all. But my partner was very supportive. He kept giving me pointers. But as I have been going out and hitting balls to improve my serving. It really didn't help me yesterday morning. I really was trying but. Hey they are not keeping score for any awards this day.

Just looking up during the games I saw these beautiful clouds in the sky above.

As I kept on watching, there are really some good players here. I just need to go out and play and play some more.
But at the end I really did enjoy my time.
On Monday afternoon I get to play again and this time they will be keeping score for ten weeks straight. At the end there will be prizes afterwards.

This is the table I got to sit with. These folks have been part of the tennis clinic since I started. Which was really nice to be able to know them and get hang out.
Sitting at our table was (left to right) Bob his wife Carol, Barb, Brenda and her hubby Bill. Then Linda and Paul. What this luncheon had was all kinds of different soups and breads to eat.

It really was a nice turn out and the soups were very good. There was even a couple I went back to get more. Plus they had desserts too.
As I am a tennis member now, I get to do all kinds of things. They have the ten week tournament starting this Monday and goes for ten Mondays in a row.
So I need to get out there and just have fun and play as much as I can.
There is a dance too during that time. I think the 19th of Jan?

Good New For You, today Thank you Betty (Nassau)

Good News for You

With all the negative news in the media, today I want to share with you some good news. God is still God, and he knows the plans that he has for you. That doesn’t mean that life will get easier. The famous verse in Jeremiah we like to quote was written to people in captivity for seventy years! But it is still true. Regardless of what today brings, God is still God.
Hear God’s Word in Jeremiah 29:11.
I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Precious one, be blessed with the love of Christ for emotional healing. The psalmist said that his body was troubled, and his soul was greatly troubled (Psalm 6:2-3). Be blessed with peace and hope being restored to you. The mind may have witnessed an event it can’t cope with. The body may react physically under duress, the soul weeps. It is a total body reaction. Be blessed, spirit, soul, and body, to be healed in the root cause of all disturbance of your peace. Be blessed to reject all lies at the root. Let the power of the Holy Spirit address the lie, and be set free.
Hear the Good news: It’s not too late. In the defining message of his life in Luke 4:18, Jesus said that he would set the captives free. If you feel captive in any way because of emotional wounding, be blessed with his love, redemption, and power to flood you and release you. Be blessed in your brain, your mind, and your memory, particularly the part that is holding on to any issues. Receive the compassion of Jesus to address any emotional concern. He is mighty to deal with any depression or other aftermath or backlash. Receive the light of his healing grace into everything that is out of God’s order.
Jesus opened the minds of the travelers on the way to Emmaus so that they could understand him in the Scriptures. Understand his words to you. Jesus said to Paul,
My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” And Paul replied, “I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me” (2 Corinthians 12:9-12).
Precious one, boast in your wounds by declaring that the power of Jesus is in you to heal them. You have the treasure of your life in a human “jar of clay” to show that he is your all-surpassing power to accomplish his plans for your welfare (2 Corinthians 4:7).
Hear Jeremiah 29:12-14.
“‘In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me. I will be found by you,’ says the Lord. ‘I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and bring you home again to your own land.‘”
God’s thoughts toward you are for peace. His plans in you are for healing, not for hurt or negativity or sadness. He promised the all-surpassing power of his love. He will accomplish his hope, his future, and his well-being in you. When you seek him, he hears you. He lets you find him to bring you back from your captivity, whatever it is. His best for you is peace, wholeness, and security.
Be blessed today in the name of the Prince of peace
(Isaiah 9:6).

Do you want to experience God’s love and forgiveness?
Action point:  On a piece of paper, ask God to show you all the sins He wants you to confess.  As they come to your mind, write them down.  When no more sins come to mind, write 1 John 1:9across them.  Then know for sure that ALL your sins are forgiven.  If you start feeling guilty about them again, know that it is the Enemy harassing you.  God won’t convict you of those sins again.
Then ask Jesus to come into your life and be the director of your life from now on.
Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.”
If you sin again, confess that sin and claim His forgiveness.  You may find the article, “Spiritual Oxygen”  helpful.
God has forgiven your sins, past present and future!

Not sure about you, but this morning it is 34 degrees outside. Fort Pierce, Florida.

Thank you Harri for this cute picture.
Oh I was going to explain how this is our own road are sometimes.
Becarefull, where you are heading.
I know by the week-end we will be back in the 70's and forget all about this cold weather.
I am sorry for all of you up north. I think I wrote about this a couple of days ago.
 We all make choices.

Just before Christmas I was telling you about Pickle Ball

Well yesterday I stopped by the Indian River County Recreation Center, in Vero Beach. I really was stopping by to sign up for Ballroom Dancing.
You heard me. When I was in Jr High, I took ballroom dancing. I really enjoyed it. But since I have not done real dancing since.
Well as I was talking with the young lady at the desk. I asked about pickle ball. she just told me to come in on Wednesday between 9 am to noon. It only cost $3.00. The real neat thing it is inside. Nice and warm.

Yes I went out and bought the gear. A couple of weeks ago. The paddle was like $15.00 and the balls $4.00.
So now when it is cold outside I have a place to go play.
Like today we have the tennis clinic happening. I think?
It is 34 degrees outside, right now. But it is suppose to go all the way up to 55. We will see how it goes.

This chilling weather as been hanging around here.

As I got up this morning thinking it was going to be really cold this morning. I was surprised. It is 64 outside right now. But that is our high for the day.
Then the colder weather is coming in. They are saying we will be down in the 30's tonight.
Not really looking forward to that. But all I can say is we are still blessed. I have been watching the weather up north and along the east coast. It is crazy temps and snow and more snow.
So folks I am sorry for complaining for what I am dealing with here.
We all make choices and I made one back in 1984 to move to Florida.
I have no regrets at all.
Plus as I was living in the Bahamas for those 9 years, I really got spoiled.
I don't think the temp changes no more than 10 to 15 degrees at any time.
Just looked at the average in July 82 then in January 70. So why am I in Fort Pierce???
Starting to question that one now?
I just pray that everyone is enjoying life. It goes by so FAST!!!

Really not sure what day this is? Maybe Saturday or Sunday?

I played 18 holes. The first round I did okay

This is the hole I kicked butt.

Not sure if you can see the ball. But it landed about here. The reason I say that, I didn't take a picture before doing the shot. I just come back around and laid it here. Then I chipped it up and went straight into the cup. That is what they call a birdie.

There it went. It really made my day. I shot a 32. Par is 27 so I was over by 5 stokes.
This is hole #8.

This was #9. Water on both sides and I got up to the green.

By God's grace I shot really well.
I went out on Monday (yesterday) and shot my normal game 42. So some days are great and others are wonderful. Like yesterday I played Pickle Ball for about hour or more.
Then went out and tried to play 18 holes. But after the 9 I called it a day.
Prayerfully I will be able to get more consistent.
Hey being retired is the cat's MEOW.
The cold front is coming today and it is going down to the 30's tomorrow. Not looking forward in seeing that.
Today is calling for rain all day long. I was planning on helping a guy out move book cases from one store to another one. We will see what happens. I guess that is why I have three tarps (gifts from Harbor Freight) in my truck just for this kinda of day?

Wishes, folks have sent me yesterday and today.

Happy New Years DAYYYYYYY.

I woke up and walked outside and saw this beautiful sunrise. How much better can this be?
I was texting back and forth with a friend that lives in Baltimore, M.D. He was asking if I have been watching the weather? I told him, not really. Because I live in Paradise already.
So as I was watching the news, I saw what was happening in Rochester N.Y.

This is Rochester, N/Y. I don't miss this part.

Now you can see we have some rough weather coming our way this week?

Well remember I was telling you about the chicken I bought a couple of days ago. I cooked it and even ate some of it. And I am still living. Praise the Lord.

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
