I took a ride with a friend, her name is Rosie. I have known her for about three weeks. I did some work on her home here in the park.

As we were driving along. Rosie needed to make a phone call. so we stopped here. This place looked great to do some shopping and just seeing all kinds of different things. Well she made her call a couple of times. The guy she was trying to get a hold of has the keys to this place she owns in Silver Springs. That is why we drove our this way. she knew there was some trouble with the house she rented out for the last year or so. 

Pulling up in front you can see the front windows have been broken. Not looking to good yet. 

We never did get a hold of the guy for the key. I went around the back and fell through the steps back there. Not looking to good either. The back door was not locked. Went around to the front and let Rosie in. Boy they trashed this place. 

As we walked around my heart sunk. This place the walls and ceiling was all pulled down and out. There was women's clothes all over the place. Rosie was telling me that a young lady and her daughter lived here, plus a boy friend. The boy friend was the one to fix this place up. Well I am not sure what happen? I did see new windows in the porch in back. Plus around 10 sheets of paneling. There was still food in the refrigerator, clubbers had food in them. As we went through and picked up different things. This woman had so many clothes and shoes. Didn't see any men clothes. 

The real funny things was I didn't see any critters. You know like mice or even ants. No roaches. Now I did see some flea bombs laying around on the floor. Rosie told me that this guy that has the key told her he thought there was a problem with fleas. so Rosie asked him the set some bombs and set them  off. I really not sure what she is going to do with this place. 

I told here to get a 20 yard dumpster and go through each and every pocket and every area very closely. 

Her son thinks they can rebuild it and fix it up. I really don't think putting more money into to this will bring the valve up to sell.She owns the property too.  But this is her home and if she wants my help I am willing. 

Like I said I really think she might find more goodies if she takes her time and looks. Like this beautiful 1958 Olds. 

This lake is right down the road from her house. The sad part is there was a lake behind her house years ago. But since there has been no rain up in this area. The lake is dried up. But this one is still pretty. I think is is very shallow. There are lily pads all around it. 

It was a nice ride and we headed back home afterwards. 

We are getting caught up, Friday the 28th. (Live 2 Lead)

I got up early on Friday and drove south west to the Nova Southeast Collage. There we needed to set signs and anything else for this to take place. It was a simulcast of John Maxwell. I am not really sure about the contents. But it was a couple my friends came to help. So I said yes. As it started up at 8:30am. 

Now these are not all that helped out. The other guys were inside as ushers. 

You can see there was about 100 or so there. It went well. At the end we all had jobs to pick up things , like props and hand outs that we didn't use. Loaded everything up in different cars and we said our good byes. 

This Nova Southeast is a beautiful campus. I was talking with one of the staff that work there. This place started out as a couple of building. But now it is huge.

Plus this is where Wayne Huizinga has his business school here. It is right across the walk way. 

This brass bench is in front of the area of the building built by him. I had a chance many years ago, 1994 or around then. I met him twice. One time at the Auto Show next to the 17th Causeway. Then another time at the old Yankee Stadium, while the Marlins went playing there. It was the time during the baseball strike. 

He was very willing to just exchange a few words. but seamed very genuine. 

Final days here in the Bahamas.

Yes we are back at Tim's home. This afternoon, Tim needed to get the window cleaned up.Then he went up and put the Ice and Water paper on the places that need to have capping put on. As we checked, I think everywhere that would sell singles, no one on the island has the capping ones. 

Ad least I know Tim feels better knowing his roof is in good shape for now. 

I think this was Thursday morning. As we dropped the children off. We were driving back to the All Saints Camp and saw all these guys jump into the back of this garbage truck. Wow they might have a different smell after coming off of it? 

This a friend and her daughter. Michelle and Emily. I called her to ask about buying a chain saw at her brother's dealership. But as we talked a little she asked me to come over for dinner that night. Which was Wednesday. I have know them since I have gone to Calvary Bible. Really some good friends. We sat around after dinner and got a little caught up. It really is nice to be able to just hang out a little and hear what has been happening around.  

As I was looking at a new paper that Felicia picked up. I love seeing what item are for sale and how much. If I am no mistaking, I think this same kind of bike is for sale here for $799.00. 

Then I saw this, I know the other islands have more problems than Nassau does. I really pray that they get the help they need. 

This is Thursday evening. 

Okay I have landed in Fort Lauderdale, seeing the plane next to ours. It has the New York Jets sign on the tail piece. I was not sure, but maybe they are in town? 

This is like 6 pm. Wow the crowds are many. 

It really was a great thing to see. This is the Tri Rail bus. It will pick me up here at the airport and drive me to the train station. Then I pay $5.00 and ride up to to Deerfield Beach. There my truck was waiting for me. No problems at all. 

This night I am staying at Dennis and Donna's home for the night. Need to get up early on Friday morning and head south to the collage of Nova Southeast. Tomorrow I will talk about what happen there. 

This would be Tuesday and Wednesday.

Okay look at these prices. That is correct, it is cheaper here in the Bahamas for #1. I think the last time I was in Wendy's here Vero Beach it was $6.+ 

This is the Tuesday crew. Left to right, Jessie,Tim, Pat and Billy. As when I was living there Tim, Billy and I would go out for lunch on Tuesday. 

It is really a joy to call these guys my friends. Plus be able to work alongside of them. 

This one, is friend, He has many things going. So for work and things, his house hold is plenty to keep him out of trouble.  

As Pat and I worked on pulling a trunk out of the ground. It went well. The roots were shallow enough so using the chain saw and the skid stirrer. It came out. 

As I was walking around, seeing our staff cleaning up. It made me proud to call them my friends and family. 

This is Eldroa, Her main job is most of the time is working inside the office. It sure was nice of her to come and give a helping hand. She has such a joy about her. Every time I see her, she just laughs and has the biggest smile. A wonderful woman. I think she has been par of ALC for over 18 years? 

Now these guys are standing around trying to figure out what is the next task. 

As my time at the ALC is winding down. I just want to share how much I miss these folks and how much I believe I am part of their family. 

Okay Wednesday is here. Tim and Jessie went up on the roof of #6. There was some trouble with the shingles on this one. Plus pretty much only had enough to finish this roof. 

So after here Tim and I went back to the All Saints Camp and did a couple of projects there. 

Sunday is winding down.

As I was walking under this tree, I thought maybe we should do some trimming. There was a couple of branches just hanging on a little bit. So I was going to go up and do it. But as Lee was standing there, he asked if he could. I am not one for height, I was going to do it. But as he asked, sure it is all yours. So as Pat was driving the John Deere, they kept on finding more branches to trim. It really was kinda funny. Jessie was up there and showing Lee what was needed. The time was winding down. They need to get back to the Camp and clean and get ready to leave for the states. 

So there was one more picture of the crew before they left for home. I was very blessed to be able to work along side of these guys and even had some fun too. 

Okay they all got back to the Camp, cleaned up and the Camp too. I drove them to the airport on our Solar Bus. All went well and I believe they all had a good time too. I gave out my card and said my good byes. Prayerfully down the road I will be able to stop in at Calvary and say hello. 

They all really did this for the Lord. I was very proud of them all. 

We are moving forward to Monday. As it was going to be a quit day. Pat and Jessie both had off. So Mark asked me to help him with a little tree trimming. This is his mother in law apartments, there are three (3) trees, I think? Well the hurricane knocked a couple of large trees on this roof. So we climbed up and Mark pretty much did the trimming. I was there to help pick up the branches and his helper. As we were working we had a chance to talk with the young lady that lives there. She told us when the water came into her home, her and her daughter ended up swimming to the main road. I didn't; take any pictures of the damage in the home. But there was a pile of furniture and stuff laying out side. Plus she told us that there is still no power. There will not be any until a electrician comes in and replaces all the switches and outlet. They are all water damaged. It is a very sad to hear all of the folks that had the same problems. I didn't take any pictures along Marsh Road on the east side. All along there most of the homes have the same problem. water damage in their homes and no power. There was dumpsters along the road for all the furniture and stuff that got damaged. 

My friend, Billy and his family got their power back on after 17 days, they didn't have any water damage. 

As Calvary has gone back home, I stayed for a couple of nights more. This is still Monday, I think. So as lunchtime came along. I know there was someone that brought over with them tuna fish and all the fixings. So we got some of the staff together and we had a nice lunch. 

These are the bunk beds that we were sleeping on. You can see I added another mattress. It was okay, I know I would be back in my bed in a couple of days. It really was fun and even enjoyable to work along side my fellow coworkers again. We all have different gifts and just getting caught up a little is rewarding enough. 

I stayed here until Tuesday. Then on Tuesday afternoon I rode over to Tim and Felicia's home for the remaining days. 

Alright, moving forward, this is Sunday.

This is our Sunday morning breakfast. The young ladies did well. Cole did a devotional and we all walked away with know why we were there. 

This little playground fort has been held together by His grace. as we kept trying to save it every time there was a large wind or so. There would be something broken on it. So as the years have been going by, this poor old fort is coming down. 

This is another little building the children would play in. It was ready to fall. We just gave it a little push and it is all gone now. 

These guys were the crew that tore these two play forts down. It really didn't take much time, maybe three hours. The crew is Lee, Cole, Fabio and Jeremy. 

Then they loaded all the junk into the trailer and haled it down in front of the ALC Camp. This way the garbage guys can take it away. The reason for not burning it, there has to be ad least 10 coats of paint on these two structures. 

After this we did more burning of the bush.
