This is Jason,he works for a company named Automated Gates

Okay about two weeks ago, we had a couple of guys come out with another group, BSG. They came out and looked over our inter com system. So while out here I ask one of the guys if he would like to make a couple of extra bucks, on the side. You know come out after work or on a Saturday? He said no problem I can do it today, while the other guy does the rewiring. I said GREAT. This box I am talking about has been here way before I got here in 2005. The box has extra wires and just is a mess inside. So I asked him to replace the box and get rite of any wires not used at this time. Okay I came back about a hour later and ask how is it going? He said not sure. He could not get the gate to work after his wiring was done. I told him okay, I was call in the guys that know the gate system, all ready. Automated Gates. So yesterday Jason and his side kick, sorry didn't remember his name. Well Jason looked at it and ask what was going on. I showed him and he just could not make heads or tails out of the wiring they did before. He even grab a GREEN wire, GROUND. He got a shock. He said the guys before used a ground wire for the power????? So I said please take the wiring apart and start over. Which that is what happen. Okay after about two hours. He got the system back up and running.
Okay one more problem to talk about. The gates close at different times. One side closes before the other side. I need to have the left side close after the right one. The reason is the piston is worn out. You can push it in and just walk through the one side. You can see I put a board up on the left side to like lock the other side in.
The reason is I am trying to save us about $4000.00 dollars on buying new pistons. If the gate work correctly. We don't need to spend that money. Okay Jason could not get it to work independence of each other. He needs to get another capacitor and rewire it again. So Prayerfully today or Saturday this will be working right. As for today, it does close and that okay. But we have the one piston disconnected. So we have to close the right side by hand and the other side closes in on it.

It was a night to see really how good Faye cooks?

That right I had a chance last night to visit my old friends.

Let me start over again. Yesterday Bob and I were out buying some tings. While at Topps (lumber  yard) we were at the cashier's line, I looked up and saw these home appliances for sale. I walked over and looked, WOW. My toaster has not been working to well. Before while talking with Faye and Mindy, they both say a toaster oven would be better. So, since Christmas time I have been checking out prices. I have seen them for $49.99 (off brands) before, but not a Proctor Silex. So I said why not. Okay spend it now or wait and pay more. Look at this price before, $78.68. I did not see that until we got back home. Bob was checking it out and saw a price tag under. So he peeled it back and said, WOW.
Okay now I can explain about eating over at Faye's and Bob's place. I was think let me try this new toy out and make some fried chicken wings (frozen). But she came over and ask if I wanted to be one of her Genny pigs? Why not. I can cook in it (toaster oven) tomorrow.
She made a chicken casserole. It really was quit tasty. That means it really was good. I even ate two helpings.

What did we do on Wednesday?

We tired a couple of things. First of all Eric filled up the tank and drove around the drive way watering it. You know dust, we have not had much rain. So when the cars and train go around the dust just flies up and the people on the train get dirt in their hair.
Bob has been trying to free up this one side. (trolley) It took us a floor jack to get it to even move a little.

The staff was telling me yesterday that the Jungle bus is not turning that easy. So that is what I tried to fix.The front tyres were very low with air, 40psi. I found out the front axle is moving a little. The U bolts that hold the springs in place were loose. Tighten them up and greased all the fittings. Did notice that the one wheel does move farther that the other. So today Bob and I will take another look and see if we can get them even out. Many years ago, one of staff, (no longer here). He ran up on a curb and broke the shock. Back then Bob and I looked and did what ever we could to get it back on the road. So we will look again and see what happens.
You see the first picture, Bob and I got the new signs up, those were made by Tim Ryan. He really did a nice job on them, didn't he?

This morning the last 8th graders leave to go home.

I had a chance to drive them back to the airport. I found out last night, I wasn't the one to drive? I guess they got off with no trouble. Remember the last of the first group? (January) Hey had to stay another couple of days. The planes were grounded, snow in New York.
Okay Tim is working on some new signs for our restrooms. They really came out looking good. Mean while Bob and I had to change out a tyre on the Solar Bus. Tim and Mindy were driving back after dropping the students off, BLOW OUT. It really was a blow out. Not sure why, but no one got hurt or didn't have to shut the bus down to long. We had a couple more older tyred laying around. Remember about a year or two. We took our older buses to the junk yard. During that time, we took the tyres off and saved them. They seamed to be working good, so far. These tyres have been here since I have been. (8 years)
Bob has been trying to get the axes ready to take off and clean them up. We are going to be reusing them with the new trolley. Really need them to work. I really think Dr. Bob enjoys the hard jobs. It is like a challenge. He got the torches out and heated it up and ad least the front is working. Now the rear is the problem.
Okay I even bought a new used tyre to make sure we always have a spare.
Okay Tim started making these restroom signs. I hope today to hang them up. They really look really nice. It has been a while since we had signs up. It is some what hard to explain where the restrooms are. So now it should be easier.
My main job was to build step stools for the buses. It really is kind of fun. As long as I have a example, I can copy it.

No, this is not what it looks like!

Tim is not bowing down to his work. He is just finishing it up. He started this last week. It really turned out nice. He built the frame. and painted and even mounted it too.

At the end of the day we all were trying to get these axes to turn left or right. Really rusted up.

This is what Bob started out today doing. Just get the steering working again. He used a torch to heat it up. Got the front to work, now the rear is needing to turn too.
I just love to work along side of these guys. I get to laugh and just enjoy their company.

That right it is Monday

It was a like any other Monday, since Calvary has been here. I get to drive the students to All Saint Camp, drop them off. Come back at 2pm and pick them up. Then drive them to Cleveland Evans School. Drop them off and come back at 4pm. Bring them home again. That is what I did. Really looking back, I know I did other stuff. Calvary group goes home today (Tuesday). The first one I will be driving the luggage bus at 7am.
Okay after devotions, Bob and I worked on the Toyota truck. The brakes still don't feel right. You know, spongy. Like the paddle is drifting down wards. Bob and I plus others have worked on this now for over a year. Starting out, replace brake pads. The master cylinder. Then calibers and rotors. Now this last piece we bought was the brake booster. There is now leaks in the system. Oh we did find another bleeding screw above the rear axle. Bleed ed the system three times. Hey the brakes that work great and there are ones that work, but just don't feel correct.
The first picture is the work I did during Saturday. I cleaned up the wood pile. NOW everyone look and see how neat it is????

What a wonderful day, it was.

Hey our day started out to be a beautiful sunny one. Loaded up the buses and drove over to Abundant Life Bible Church. This is the church that Pastor Carnston is part of. He was put on out broad of director a year or so. It really was enjoyment to get over his way and check it out. He did a nice job on the story of love. Over all he was very lively and kept every one's attention. He walked back and forth and came down off the stage and just looked like he really enjoys speaking. Over all I walked away just thinking about what he was telling us and how do I love others?
Then we dropped the students off at the Rawson Square, Parliament Square. The reason was for them to go get some food and do a little shopping too. Then had to walk back to Fort Charlotte. During their time walking back, sharing God's Word with everyone they had contact with. Brought them back and they had a chance to relax and get a shower and get ready for dinner.

Had a wonderful dinner last night, Bahamian style. Miss Ada's

It was so nice to just sit down and enjoy some good old food. This was the night that the staff was invited to come over and get some grub. Mark and Tim had a chance to share a little of their lives stories with the students. I sat and ate and had to leave. Kevin was at the church (Calvary Bible) all day, helping and learning how to use the sound broad. He needed a ride back home. So we had a chance to get some what caught up on his last week. Over all he has not been feeling to good. So really didn't go out and look for a job. He did get a couple of apps and filled them out on line. He promise me that this next week he will try harder.
On the way home back home for me, I looked up and saw a beautiful moon.

Just take five minutes and read this devotion, PLEASE

This was my devotion this morning, it really hit me hard. How many times do we try to please God by WORKING OUR WAY?
I know as I start doing something for Him, I think WOW how great I am? NO that is not the answer, IT IS FOR HIM.

Do you remeber her? Miss Teen Bahamas.

This is the young lady that I know from her Aunt Michell Campbell. About three months ago, I took some pictures of her in a car parade? That was for the Miss Teen Pageant here of the Bahamas. Which she did win.
Well she is now running in the Miss Teen Universe Pageant. That right she made it all the way up the ladder to this point. It really is neat to see how hard she is working to make it happen.
Please if you think of her say a prayer or two, this whole family is looking forward in seeing how she does there?

Okay it is time to go to the have some fun.

Yesterday I had a chance to drop off one group to Fort Charlotte. There they had a chance to do their devotion time and just hang out a little while. From there they walked to down town. During this time they were to share the Gospel with as many people they in countered. Plus they had a chance too get some good old food too. I know even some went shopping. After their day doing all that, I got he chance to pick them back up and bring them home again, camp.
After having pizza they loaded back up in the buses and drove over to Paradise Island and spend the evening walking around and sharing  God's Word with those people. Plus they had a chance to see the Dig at Atlantis. You know where most of the leaders went? That right Star Bucks and get their fix. I did not drive them there this time. I really am not to keen on driving the buses at night time. It just sometime hard to see people walking along the road or even the glare off the windshield when the head lights hit it. There is always someone willing to drive there, remember STAR BUCKS?

You can see this place is a jumping.

I am still having trouble with the inter net ting, but here goes. Okay on Friday night I had a chance to sit down and just enjoy a hot dog and fries with the CCA 8th graders. Then afterwards Pastor Mike and Tim had some fun starting a bonfire. You can see them in the second to the last picture. These guys were having some fun. They even got to close and fried their eye brows a little. But at the end of the night, I could hear the students sing praise to our Lord and just enjoying the warmth. At the end I just asked them to let it burn itself out. which you can see it did.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day?

I am so blessed to be here. It is not becauses my family gives me gifts? No, it is the hearts that are here, wiling to share their love. I got three different gifts. Now two of them from the same family, Mark. He thought maybe I wouldn't get a gift. So he shared his. But at the end of the day I got one any way. So thank you very much Mindy and Kim. You girls are just love to share.

At the end of the day, our girls were just enjoying a little work out. It is so neat to see how they all get along and even try to help each other out on different tings. Sam and Eldroa were the two doing the work out. At the end I really believe Eldroa's legs will be hurting. They marched 200 steps, up and down. I was tried just watching them.

Well on Thursday night I got a phone call!

Yes after dark set in. I was sitting down watching ZNS news. Then I got this call from Tim Seeley. Tom I am sorry but the Solar Bus will not restart. He was at the airport allready, waiting for the plane to come in.  I told him I was on my way. Boy was I mad at the Lord then. I just kept say WHY? WHY NOW? But I got there and tried to wiggle the cables on the batteries. Still not turning over. I hooked up my little Mazda truck and it kicked right over. Got it back to the Camp and put the charger on over night. It started right up this morning.
Okay I dropped the children off and drove it back to the Centre. I checked every thing on it. Cleaned the posts and even cleaned up the wires that go to the starter and alternator. Plus the Neg wire that is on the body. Okay now it started right up again this afternoon. Tonight no problem. I even put the charger on for the night to make sure. Batteries are great, 13 volts both. Maybe the ignition is going bad. Remember Mark's Jeep?

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
