Going to my favorite two stores.

Last night I took a friend to go buy some base board for her new flooring. So we went to Home Depot. As we started walking towards the entrance. I saw this truck pull in. Saying that really is a neat color. So I stopped and talked with Bill (I think) an asked about the truck. he came from Arizona. He told me that he moved out for 6 months and while there saw this truck. It was art of a fleet that they had left over. Thinking why would they have left over?
But it sure was pretty one. Bill told me how this had the black trim and the other ones had silver trim. So I guess they made a mistake on the order for the fleet?

Then two days ago I stopped in at Lowe's and get a couple of items there. seeing this large Germany Shepard thinking wow, is he of she freely? The lady said yes and it is a she. You can see she has her own toy too. I miss having a dog.

On my way to a birthday and Mother's Day breakfast.

As I was driving over to Janice's daughter home. I saw this old Ford. It really was in good shape and even pretty.

Well do you remember me telling you about a guy, named Cliff. he had to take a drive license test, DRIVING? Well this be the man and his children, Tom and Janice. That is correct. I was invited over to just hang out and get some breakfast. While there Janice's daughter Stephanie and hubby Derick were having a Birthday and Mother's Day time.
Afterward I was getting hungry again, so I decide to cook up all the meat in my frig.
That would be four (4) pork chops, Polska kielbasa, and a package of hot dogs.
Well I started cooking on hot, walked in and came back out and all was well.
I turned the burner down to medium and went inside. While inside I smelled plastic burning. What could that possibility, be?

There were flames coming out of the grill. I open the top and that was not a good idea. But I only lost some hair on my arm. I turned the grill off and the gas tank too. Thinking is will just burnout?
That is what happen. It burned out everything.

So I really not sure what happened? But I know better to walk away. Okay now what?

It sure was a good time to clean the grill out. It looks so good now.
What can I have for lunch?

Ham, salami and Swiss cheese on a roll. Plus olives.
I really was looking forward in having meal for the whole week ahead, cooked.
You know pork chop (2) Sunday, Monday a couple of hot dogs, and so on. I guess I will need to go shopping again?
Hey the plastic smell was just my siding. It blistered up a little. No problem, By God's GRACE.

This is or new Motor Vehicle Department.

I wrote about this place a while back. Then it looked like a motor vehicle office. But now this place looks like a bank. Which is a lot more personal, I think. Before they had counter and glass (I think) between you and them. This way you really feel like a more friendly atmosphere.
Roy is going to have a birthday next month so he thought why not get the tags taken care of before they leave for the north. So last week we went up there and got it all taken care .
Hey talking about the motor vehicle department, last night I had dinner with Janice. she was telling me about her dad, went down last week and got his driver license up dated. He is turning 99 to this week-end. He had to take a driving test. Janice told me he went out and came back in 20 minutes and he PASSED. The neat thing is, Janice was telling me that he pretty much just drive over to the library and store, which is only 2 miles away from his home.

Is it safe to leave butter on the counter?

An Age-Old Debate: Can You Leave Butter Out?

Milk curdles and cheese gets moldy, but what about butter? Many people leave a stick of butter on the counter without thinking twice about it. Others religiously keep their butter in the fridge after each use.
So who’s right?
Dairy is one of the major food groups categorized as a Time/temperature Control for Safety (TCS) food. TCS foods can be dangerous to eat if not kept at the correct temperature for the correct amount of time. Dairy products should be stored at 41 degrees Fahrenheit (5°C) or lower to avoid bacterial growth. If a dairy product is in a temperature higher than 41 degrees for 4 hours or more, it must be thrown out.
Butter, however, seems to be the exception to that rule. According to the FDA website, pasteurized, salted butter is not a TCS food meaning it does not have to be refrigerated to keep it safe.
But if butter is made from cream, a dairy product, why can it be left out?
Pasteurization lowers bacteria counts in the cream to safe levels, and then once the butter is made, its physical properties protect it from bacterial growth. Bacteria need water to grow. Butter consists mostly of fat (at least 80%) and water. The water content is fairly high, but due to the churning process, water molecules are separated and surrounded by fat, which is almost impenetrable to bacteria. Even if bacteria do get to the water, they don’t spread easily to other pockets of water due to the fat.  Also, if the butter is salted, bacteria are even less likely to grow.
So are those people who refrigerate their butter just paranoid? Well, there are other factors to consider in butter storage:
Left out butter is easily contaminated by elements in the environment such as dust and TCS foods. When butter becomes contaminated with TCS foods, it also becomes a TCS food.
After a certain amount of time, the water molecules will interact with the fat in the butter, which leads to the decomposition of fats, a process accelerated by light that causes butter to become rancid and lose its fresh taste. This process of decomposition can be slowed by covering or refrigerating butter.
Butter, like all food products, will spoil eventually. There is still a debate as to how long butter maintains its freshness: some say butter can be left out up to 10 days; others say it can only be left out for 1–2 days. Refrigerating butter will help it maintain its freshness for longer.
Unpasteurized or any homemade butter is considered a TCS food. Only pasteurized, commercial butter can be left out.
As an extra precaution, it is recommended for commercial kitchens to keep all butter refrigerated. To sum up, you don’t need to panic if your cookie recipe calls for butter at room-temperature. And if you like to keep the butter out to keep it soft and spreadable, you’ll be fine as long as you keep it covered and use it within a few days. But if you prefer to keep your butter rock-solid and fresh in the fridge, that’s okay too.

—Sophie Buckner

Not sure about you, but I have a good friend that was here about three (3) months ago. he was telling me, why don't I use butter? Well the truth is, butter is always so hard to spread after sitting in the fridge. So my question still stands. Can you leave butter on the counter?????
I have for the last week and I am still a live and not sick???

It is getting closer, Summer.

This is Patty and Jim. They live across the street from me. Well, my buddy, Jim has been looking forward to this time. Since January, he has been getting his home ready for hurricane season and just trying to figure out how to get the cat cage and all the things they will need for their trip north.
You can see he did a pretty good job getting everything in the back end of the van. When he first started thinking about taking thing north. He was thinking a roof rack. But you can see he is ready to rock and roll.
They left yesterday morning around 8am. They will be stopping on their way north, to spend the night at a hotel. But by this afternoon they should be at their other mobile home up near the Lake Erie. I think Pat told me Westfield, PA.
They will not be back until September.

Okay now Roy and Pat left this morning for New Jersey. They will be staying at different family homes on the way up and back.
I think Roy told me that they will be stopping just out side of Atlanta, Ga. There they will spend some time with, Roy's brother Al and Sheryl. I think he said 4 days.
The next folks to leave will be Michelle and Bobby (right hand side) Fred is in the back ground. He is staying around here, that I know of. Well Michelle and Bobby will be flying out, Friday to go to California. They will be staying with their children that live out there too.
So it will be lonely around here. But I know the Lord has many things for me to do and get done.
So if you think of any of these folks, please say a prayer or two. They really are all looking forward in spending time away and just enjoying family and friends.

We got some what roped into moving furniture.

As we all have friends here in the park. We try to help each other out on different things. So yesterday Rosy and Al's friends came along side and did some moving.
The funny thing is, last week I was talking with Al and Rosy about the move. I thinking, I don't have any help. Who is going to be able to pick up heavy items? Rosy calls me on Monday and tells me we have a crew. Plus a U Haul truck.
Okay I hope these guys know what needs to be moved?
We started out taking Al's stuff out first. This way we put it on the front lawn of Rosy old house. Oh, we are moving Rosy's things into Al's house and Al's things into Rosy's house. the reason is Rosy is moved into Al's home and she wants her stuff there.

The real funny ting was, a young lady stopped by and asked if we were throwing this stuff out?

This is Al, he is 80 plus years old. Really nice guy. We decided to take down the screen, so we can get the LARGE SOFA in It has two (2) recliners, built in. I thinking 200# +. That was just one of the heavy items. After getting it inside, used a two wheel dolly to pull it into the other room. It all worked out great.

This guy is Dan, he lives around the corner of Rosy's old house.

Jerry is just old friend that lives here in the park.

Gene he lives across from Rosy's old house.

We pretty much got most of the things. But like the washer and dryer, not. We would have a some troubles just getting to them at Rosy's house. There is still many boxes to come over too. But as the day was going by fast. Rosy and Al decided to get some real movers in next week to finish up what is needed. So she made us three (3) pizzas and just sat and talked a little while and finished the boxes and took a couple of items over to Jerry's house.
By God's grace we all went home with out any problems, that I know of.
Folks nothing against these guys, but they really should have said no before we started. They just wanted to help them out. Just like I did. But sometimes we should say, MAYBE NOT?

I took a drive south yesterday.

That is correct, this is Monty and his lovely wife, Patrelle. They flew over to do a little shopping and just get away for the week-end.
Well Monty told me that he wold be in town and I thought, why not? So I drove down and meet them at Costco. There they got their own membership and went shopping after that. They bought and bought and we had three (3) shopping carts, full to the top.
During this time Monty and I were on or own walking around picking up this and that.
At the end we loaded up everything in my truck and started to drive down to Miami. There Monty's dad using a shipping company down that way. So while driving we were almost there, thinking, it is Sunday. Are we sure it is open? So Monty called his sister that deals with the company. She said, they are open 6 days. Not on Sunday. What? So now what do we do?
He calls back his sister, to see if she knows anyone that will take this stuff down there today? She told s about this guy, named Wes. So we drove around trying to find his home. We got there and he was not home. But the van was. He told Monty it should be open.

So we started loading things in it. There were four empty boxes and even packing tape in there. This guy must do this all the time. It worked out great for us. We packaged everything we could and Monty loaded it up.
Afterwards I took him back to his lovely wife and said my good byes.
I left there at 8 pm. Stopped at McDoanld's and got a burger and got home a little after 10 pm.
I really did enjoy our time and it was fun to even go shopping.

Hide the necklace with the Cross on it ??

This might be funny if it was not so true.

MAY "THE SPIRIT OF OUR GOD" GRANT TO US ALL
THE COURAGE TO FOLLOW THIS EXAMPLE!!

A young 17-year-old boy was shopping in St. Cloud, MN, at a sports store,
called Shields.  The cashier was a Muslim lady who was wearing her
headscarf.  The 17-year-old was wearing a necklace with a cross on it.
She told him he would have to put his cross under his shirt because it
offended her.

He told her he would not do that.  Then he told her that he thought she
should take her headscarf off. She then called for the manager.

The manager came out and told the 17-year-old to just put his cross under
his shirt and everything would be fine.
The boy again refused to do so and at that point he left the items he had
intended to purchase and walked out.

Several customers who had been in line behind him had heard the conversation
and also left their carts full of items and walked out of the store!!

KUDOS TO THE 17-YEAR-OLD!!!

We all know we are in some very changing times, and given the
same circumstances, I pray we would all have the courage this young lad had.
Our Bible Class spent a few minutes talking about the challenge we are
facing for our first amendment right of religious freedom.  (I have to
wonder what’s next?  Are they going to try to ban the jewelry store owners
from selling any jewelry with a cross on it??)

Will you  hesitate to pass this on??
Or be ready to defend your religious rights!!!

Fear Not, thank you Betty for this devotion for TODAY

Lay Aside Your Fear

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).
You wake up in the morning and the thoughts from yesterday’s events bring worry or stress. You think about the day ahead of you and fear or tension fills your heart. Your concern over family members or other relationships begins to weigh down your day before it ever really gets going. Many of us look at such situations as just normal life. But there is a warfare aspect to these thoughts. God’s Word teaches us that He wants us to lay aside fear . . . that worry and anxiety are to be given over to Him. He wants to set us free from these thoughts that damage our lives. If God wants us free from such thoughts, you can count on the fact that the devil wants us to wallow in these fears. The Christian that spends his or her time worrying or in fear is a Christian who is being made ineffective in kingdom matters. When the enemy can manipulate our thoughts away from trusting God, he has won a victory.
Father, grant me Your protection in the most common areas of spiritual attack: my mind, my heart, and my mouth. Help me to keep my thoughts fixed on You. Keep my heart in Your care. May my words always please You. Please help me today to live completely under Your
Lordship and in Your victorious care.
Joshua 1:9 I command YOU-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you where ever you go.

These were a couple of item on clearance at Walmart last week or so.

Since I have fallen in twice, I have not been out riding around. Folks I guess I have a fear now? The only way to get over that is just go out and try again.

I have the vest now, just need to take the kayak to the small lake and let see what happens?

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026
