On Thursday evening, is sure came down, rain.

This place is called Casey's Place. It is a restaurant up in Vero Beach. We were planning on having dinner here. But the rain came pouring down. You can see there is only umbrellas over the tables. Thinking, maybe not to dry sitting outside?
So we meet Stephanie and her hubby, Derek at a place called 14 Bones. It is only about three blocks away from here.

So after having a nice dinner there. I took a selfie. I am sorry that Stephanie didn't really get into the picture.
On the way back to the park, we stopped at Walmart. I needed a couple of items. I saw the price for milk.

Since I have been back in the states I don't think I have seen milk this cheap? I know at Winn-Dixie, we are selling our for $4.05 a gallon. Why such a different price?

Look what i found.

This little fellow was sitting in the middle of the road last week. he got ran over. I picked him up and put him on the side of the road. This was right in front of my house.
So I about a week or so, I saw him sitting there still. He was like a piece of plastic. Stiff and hard.

If you can see inside his back end. The ants ate away his flesh. That is his spine. I really thought this was kinda neat. I did put him in the garbage bag.
Someone told me that he was not a snake. But something else?

This is a young lady,(78 years young) Maria that has been trying to sell her home.

She really needs a lot of work to make this place look appetizing for a sale. The sad part is she really just wants to get out of it and move to California. Her children live out there and she is looking forward in moving there. But as you look at her home. First of all she needs it painted. So a coupe of days ago. Roy and I went for a ride out to Okeechobee, Fl. It is around 33 mile from our home here in Fort Pierce. While out there we were looking for a window for another customer. So as we were walking around. Roy asked about the siding, we need for Maria's house. The guy sold us a piece for $8.+ So I called Maria up on Thursday and told her that we got the correct part for her home.
We got to her house and it was the wrong one.
So Roy and I took a small piece of the corner off and went for a ride to Lowes. Bought wood filler and paint to match her color. It really was need to see how close they got to the color.

There are like three main areas that the siding is all dried out and has holes in it. So we patched them and put a primer on. Then Roy went around and painted all the spots.

I know it is not prefect, but we put a plant in front of it and you can hardly see it.

Over all I really thought it looked a lot better than before. The neat thing is how close the color turned out.
She seems to be happy with it and I know she will be calling us again for some thing else.
She really is a nice lady and I pray she sells her home shortly.

A couple of days ago, I was in Goodwill. Just walking around and checking out different things. I saw these skis and poles sitting there. Thinking wow. I would never think of buying them at Goodwill in FLORIDA. Might be a good deal????
I really hope and pray you are all having a wonderful day. I get to go to work again today,
Winn-Dixie, fun and more fun.

Time to share about a new toy. (tree trimming pole)

This is a job I have been doing now for about four months or so.  It is weeding and trimming trees and bushes. You can see it really is a big project some times. Yesterday I got all the weeding done. Then I looked on and saw that her palm trees needed some trimming. I need to come back and do the other side of her house next week.
Now I am in the mood to do some more trimming. Last week I got a new toy.

I think it goes from 5 feet to 9 feet long.

This is one of my neighbors, Brenda. She is away on vacation now. But I know she has been asking the park here to trim her palm tree for a while now. So as get the  special buys from Home Depot each day. I saw this tree trimmer on sale. I went on Amazon and even got a better price than Home Depot special deal. So I got it in the mail on Saturday. Have been wanting to see how good it works. This is the BIG TEST. It did very well.

These are a couple of Date Palms in between Brenda and I. Thinking they need a trim job too. These are the palms I trimmed at Carol's house earlier that morning.

Nice Thorns?????

Roy and I went across the street and trimmed Jimmy's palm and another kind of tree.

This is Roy and Jimmy helping me load the truck up. The real nice thing about living here. There is a dump pile in the park to bring leaves and trimmings and drop off. So I don't need to go to the land fill and pay money for gas and what ever the fee is.

This is Jazmyn, Janice;s grand daughter. She came over to spend the day with her grandma. So Janice was thinking why not paint the back shed? So here they are painting and making it look great.

After a couple of coats of paint. It really came out looking like we knew what we were doing. It is even cooler inside there, compared to the outside temp. Maybe 5+ degrees cooler? That is a beautiful ting. I was thinking just the opposite. I was thinking it will be HOT in there. I am so happy I am wrong sometimes.

Sunday after church.

As yesterday was Sunday, Janice and I went to Achie's for church and right down the road is the State Park.
These folks are Janice's daughters plus hubbies. There is only two grandchildren here. the other two are just neighborhood friends.

This was a family that was sitting right next to us. The dad dug out a large area for the kids to build up a wall and maybe even a castle.

It was a beautiful day out there. I even got a little sun burn on my back.

It sure looked like we were going to get a shower or two. But it stayed far east of us.

This is Janice and her daughter Stephanie plus hubby Derek. It was some fun to just sit around and enjoy the company.
The neat thing about the water today was, it had some large waves and there were some surfers out there too.

The May Tag guy came out.

As Roy and I stopped by to see what I missed a couple of days with this dish washer. Remember the door would not open all the way. As I was talking with the May Tag guy, he said the hings got bent inwards. Not sure how that happen? The reason was there was no damage to the outside of the box it was shipped in? But all he did was take a hammer and tap and pull on the hinges and all is well.
I got a call from Dan last night. Could I come over and finish putting it in? Thinking the guy was just there, why could'n't he put in the two screws and level it out???? You know, hey buddy, for a $5.00 or even $10.00. finish it up?
So now I need to go over and put in two screws and level it out.

I am so happy to see how nice this came out. All I need to do to finish, is caulk in all the boards and repaint them too. I am very excited to see this came out really nice, I think. Now Janice has a store room and she loves it too.

Started another work project. Enclosing Janice's screen room.

As Roy and I went out to get supplies. We stopped at the Dollar Tree, for a couple of paint rollers. Everything in the store is a Dollar, $1.00. So I saw these Fidgets next to the cash register, thinking WOW, a DOLLAR $1.00????? A couple of weeks ago or so. Don was down here and we drove up to Daytona Beach. Stopped at Ron Jon Surf Shop. Don saw these Fidgets and bought a couple of them for his grand children. I think he paid like $19.00 each? I even thought it would be neat to own one. But I thought $19.00 is to much money for something like this. Thinking, maybe buy it on line and save some money. But I ever did look. So now I have one I paid $1.06 for.

Okay this is Janice's back screen room. She was telling me if we could enclose it. Sure we can. So Janice I went shopping last week and bought a couple of items just to see what it would look like. Roy and I put the first two panels up and I was tickled pink, how nice this is going to be. Call Janice over and she loved it. Now if you look closely, the bottom panel is the exact texture.

Roy was taking the last of the screening out and we went to town. The rains came twice but we were okay with that. It kinda of cooled things off for a minute of two.

I really was getting tried and we needed a break now. So we sat down and enjoyed some cold water and chilled for a couple of minutes. Mean while Janice and her grand son were painting the fern strips. These are the boards we will be putting up today. They will be going along where the panels over lap each other. Plus it will give them more support on the main columns.

It really is coming along nicely. Prayerfully today we can finish up with the fern strips. So by the end of the day this job should be done too.

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
