We all had a chance to drive over to Key West.

This is Joyce and her hubby Rob. As driving Joyce drove us to Key West, we had a nice time, just talking about their plans to be going on a cruise in the next month.
This restaurant we went to was is known for great Italian Food. I had Spaghetti Al Pomodoro Con Basillico. It was very good. Plus the view was wonderful. Looking out to the ocean and we saw a rainbow too.

As we were walking back to the car, I kept hearing roosters crowing in the tree. So I took a couple of pictures. They really didn't come out that good, but ad least to can see something.
Key West is known for roosters just walking down the street and mining their own business.

Then I saw my old Tonka TOY sitting there.

As driving back home, I saw house boats and just thought, that would be neat way to live?
Our time here has been great and still have Sunday.

On Saturday, we went kayaking.

I was just trying to get comfortable in it. If you look back about three (3) months or so. I was trying out my new (old) kayak. While trying it out, I fill in. I am not sure to this day why. I even went out about nine (9) months or maybe even more? I fill out of my other friend's kayak. So as I get moving around I am just testing it out.

So we went out into the ocean and went along the shore line. In this area there is a channel and it is about 10 ft deep. But just on my left here it is a lot more shallower.

This is Janice and these are her kayaks. She has had these down here for a while. They are stored under her sister's house.

We rode thru the mangroves. Here it is beautiful and shallow too. You can look down and see the fish going along side of you.

We went down one of the other channels along the way. Just to see what was down there.

This guy here was working on his house. He told us about a storm coming and the tides will be a lot higher. So he is just making sure no water gets into his home. He has two (2) dogs. This is Stacy. The guy told us that she would not jump in. So I wanted a close up. (maybe not a good idea?) She stayed on shore. Really pretty dog. I think she is a Great Dane?

As we were heading back to the home. I just took a couple of shots of how beautiful this area is.
I used my under water camera. That is why there is water spots on the lens very once and while. I did some splashing around with the ore.

Home sweet home. We were out for about two hours and my stomach was on the sore side. You know you use those muscles the most paddling along.
But I didn't fall in and it was a lot of fun.

Yes we made it down here, Cudjoe Key.

The first thing we did was do the swimming pool. It was so nice. I guess they use sea water to keep it clean. The reason I say that is, when I was under water, I tasted the salt. Plus the water was not clear.

It just is such a beautiful view and relaxing.

After all that we got cleaned up and went out for dinner. Janice has talked about this place and wanted me to see it. So the food was good and it is a sport bar too. On one end of the restaurant, there was 16 large screen TVs. playing at the same time. Sports and whatever kind you wanted.

She was telling how the last time they were there, the grand kids played Put Put. So I asked if she would like to give it a try? So we walked over and I saw the price. $12.00 to play one time around 18 holes. I asked her again and we decided, maybe next time?

After getting back we took a bike ride to the other side of the island and checked out the sun set. The clouds were there and really could not see it go down. But is was beautiful any way.
What a great ending of our Friday together.

On our way to Cudjoe Key.

Janice and I were on our way to Cudjoe key. There we will be staying at her sister's home. This place is called Robbie's Here there is a flea market and just pretty much a boat rental and even jet skis.
This sign tells of this guy that saved a tarpon's life. (You can read the story)

You can tell we are early plus the Snowbirds are not around at this time of the year.

You can't really see, but these people on the dock are feeding the tarpon. All you do is buy a pail ($2.00) of fish hang the fish over the dock and the fish comes up and grabs it.

You can see there are different booths and stalls to buy stuff. Like I said before, there really was no one there at this time.

It looks like a neat place to come and hang out and just enjoy the day there.
You can see we are at mile marker #77.5. What that means is as you drive south on US 1 everything it labeled by the mile marker.
Now you will understand when I talk about mile markers.

Yes I am talking about my real job.

As I work at Winn-Dixie once a week. That is Wednesdays, 10am to 6 pm. I have a chance to work in the dairy department. That means pulling thing out of the cooler and filling the shelves with product.

Well this last Wednesday I came into work and found the dairy cooler door hanging off of one hing. Thinking something is not right here???

So I went to the manger and asked if he knew anything about this? He told me that he called it in and that is all he can do for now. Well if you look closely you can see that someone has already stolen the hung in the middle.
During the whole day I had to pick up the door an open it and close it.
I can tell you this, after 4 hours of working my shoulder was in pain.
I went out and took a break and even took a couple of Aleve tables. I went back to work and all went well.
The next day my shoulder was a little sore. But as for today I am doing great.
The manger promised that the door would be fixed before next week.
SURE BETTER.

This is one of my next door neighbor's Brenda's home.

On this side of her home has a lot of mildew growing. So I used bleach and car wash to scrub down her home. Just using a car brush.

This is in her back yard, patio. You can see there is mildew here. I got out my new little green machine. I found this while I was over visiting Greg in Largo, Florida. There was a yard sale going on and I stopped and saw this. They wanted $40.00. But I offered $30.00 and they took it. I really was not sure how good it would work? So this real the test? I believed it passed with flying colors.

It took me about three (3) hours and I believe it came out beautiful. Brenda even liked it and she paid me. It really is fun to help someone out and get a a little money for doing it.

My friend Janice wants a new faucet.

So during last week we were at Home Depot and she bought this on. Thinking piece of cake. All I need to do is pull the old one out and put in the new one?????

Okay first of all, getting the old one out was not a piece of cake. It was a little different than the ones I have taken out before. But as I kept looking I got it out.

Now putting the new one in. I got it all installed and looking good. But the hoses would not work. I need a male 3/8" compression thread. Then on the other end a female 3/8" compression end. Went to the small hardware down the road. Didn't have the correct hoses. Now thinking I don't remember ever seeing those kind of hoses So Janice asked if instead of Home Depot try ACE Hardware? Okay the guy there talked me into buying a 1/2" to 1/4" compression fitting. I was thinking I am not sure about this one? So got back to her place and tried it out. Even put Teflon tape. I put it together and it leaked badly.
Drove over to Home Depot and talked with a employ there and found the correct fitting. 1/2 " pipe thread and 1/4 " compression.

Okay now we are in business. NO LEAKS AT ALL. Praise HIM.

It even looks pretty good. All that matters is Janice like it and it works.

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
