Okay what can we do on Monday?????

A couple of weeks ago. I got a call from a guy named Bill. Well this is the damage he has in his master bedroom. I guess a while back he had a roof leak? He just got it repaired a couple of weeks ago. So how can we do this one? 

At first Bill only wanted us to cut the damaged out and replace only thrid of the panel. Well Roy took a look and said it would be better to replace the whole panel. Which that was what I was trying to tell Bill before. Roy and I went down to our favor Home Depot and got a piece of paneling and a bunch of molding. The reason is the old molding was shot. 

So as we pulled the old off. You can see there is the water damage. We sprayed it with bleach. Oh you can see the walls are cathedral ceiling. So the panel we bought was only 8 feet long. So I cut the down as far as the new panel would reach.  

Now as we were looking in the wall. See the one panel on the right is water damaged too. So we saved the lower part of the panel we took off an put that up on the right hand side. 

Then we finished the wall off with molding along the seams and Mr Bill was very happy to see how nice it looks. 

After putting the bed back into place all is looking great. Now next week or so Bill has a painter coming and repainting this bedroom and the other one. 

We did need to do another small project in the other bedroom. I didn't take any pictures of that work. But all we did was along a ceiling seam there was some water damage too. So we put up two pieces of 1" molding and it turned out pretty good. 

At the end Bill told me that he was very happy and he has more work for us next year. 

All I can do is say. Thank you Lord for wisdom and how good this all worked out. 

As it is Monday night. I went to my men's Bible study. 

It was a night of relaxing and just enjoying some fun and food. 

Martinez brought in his new toys. 

Virtual Reality. 

This is Lee trying it out. The way he was talking about seeing things. We all wanted to play with it. 

This is my buddy Jon. As he was into it. 

Hey I did it and really thought wow. I need to get one of these. 

The set up Martinez has, cost around $2500.00 bucks. The reason is the laptop has to be able to handle all the soft ware. The head set was $450.

But folks, if you get a chance to try it out. I was blown away. 

I went over Nassau, ALC and was on top of the property and looking down. Then I flew over to Webster New York. My home town. 

I was sitting in Webster Park. There was a picnic table and a grill where I was sitting. WOW

It really was neat and even exciting to be able to travel an never leave you home. 

Maybe one of these days ? 

I am so blessed to have wonderful neighbors, like Roy and Pat.

This is Sunday morning after I came back from church. Pat asked if I would like to go out for breakfast? Sure sounds good to me. 

Hey they knew it was my birthday and this was a real nice surprise. 

We went to The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Company. 

We have eaten here before. But because it is my birthday I got a nice breakfast sandwich instead of a everything bagel. It really hit the spot. 

After getting there they gave me a gift bag. 

Opened it up and there was a real nice wallet and warm birthday card. 

I guess they saw how rough my old wallet was getting? 

Folks I now this is just another day, but they made it even more special. 

Like I said before I am very blessed and loved. 

Not sure about you, but as setting this up. TIME IS FLYING BY. Christmas is all most HERE!!!

I think this is Friday morning? Since I have been living up here. I have never had to wait in line for anything at the DMV. But as I was standing there. I had a young lady behind and we started talking about watching the football games on TV. I really not sure how we got there? But as we waited, other folks around us were listening and they had the same feeling as we did about how disgraceful how the football players are acting during the National Anthem. There was one guy that was from Pittsburgh, Pa. and how he loves his team. But has not watched any football since this all happen. 

Then someone else comments on it too, saying there is a place to show unity but not like that. 

I just enjoyed our time and it really is neat to hear how folks really feel about thing. 

Plus the time went by a lot faster. 

I got my stickers for my house and truck. 

I am legal again. 

While standing there I got a call from a guy (Bill) in the park asking for me to take a look at his damaged wall. So I stopped over and told him what I thought and he wants it fixed. Great something to do next week. 

As Saturday morning came and went, Roy and Pat asked me if I would like to take a ride down the The Stuart Flea Market? It is called B and A Flea Market. 

Drove down with Michelle (Roy's sister in law) Roy and I went our way and the ladies went theirs. 

As walking around, thinking what do I need? Not really anything. What do I WANT? 

These two young ladies are Michelle and Pat. As lunch time was around the corner. Thinking let us get some to eat? Roy and I got a hot dog, fries and coke for $6.00. Not bad at all. The fries were even good and hot. 

Where we sat down to eat. There was guy playing the steel drum. He really was pretty good at it. I just listen. Think what  unique they make? 

Hey the day was beautiful and just enjoyed the time walking around. 

While there, I went over to the guy that sells golf carts and all kinds of supplies for golfing. 

I have been thinking about selling my golf cart. So if I did I need new tires. $43.00 tire and rim. Not bad at all. I will do some shopping on line and see if there are any better prices out there. 

Hey these golf carts are older than mine. They want form $1999. and up. So let us see what happen after the new year. Maybe sell? 

Over all for being in Florida and walking around, in the warm sun light. 

I have a friend that is freezing her little behind off up north. 

I think the  temp was 2 that morning in Potsdam, NY. 

We are so soiled down here. 

Hey during the week before, I had out my two space heaters. They really worked great. 

One by my bed. 

The other along side when I watch TV. They were working hard those couple of days. But as cold front come and go. Ad Least we warm up during the day. 

It really is cooler here than when I was in the Bahamas and even Fort Lauderdale, Fl. 

Still can not complain. 

Christmas is around the corner!!!!!!!

Taking a drive along US 1 on Thursday morning.

I drive by this tire shop every once and while, I have been seeing the Yellow Minion. But now they have them self a Christmas Tree made out of tires. I thought that was kinda neat. 

Right across the street is the new Aldi grand opening. It was some what early as I was in my way to my doctor for a follow. 

You can see there was three or maybe four police officers, keeping things in order. 

Came back and the doctor gave a clean bill of health. 

So afterwards I went to the tennis clinic and had a good work out. It really is surprising how much I am out of shape. The reason I say that is, I am not one to go jogging or even run around th block a couple of times. So running back and forth to hit a tennis ball. It is a good work out. I think I over did it a little bit to much. I am hurting a little. 

After all that, Roy and I went over to Roland's house and used some neat cleaner. 

I do have a 1700 pressure washer, but Roy believes this works even better. So we went out to Home Depot and got a couple of bottles. 

He was correct, it works great. Plus it only took us 2 1/2 hours to clean Roland's house. After wards the mildew and and dirt were gone. Good protect. 

I had some green mildew on the northside of my house. It is clean as a whistle. 

Folks like I said before, maybe I over did it today???? 

But I am very happy to get so much done in one day. I am blessed and just enjoying some good rest now.

I am not one to talk much about things that people just avoid. But I saw this and thought why am I not?

Night of darts, plus the following evening Trivia Pursuit.

It must be Tuesday night. Hey the neat thing is we won one of the two games. I think we are in third place now. 

 I took this picture on Sunday morning. The reason I say that is, I just wanted to see the front of the building we were in on Wednesday night, playing trivia. 

I had a chance to go with Donna and her friends to a place called 2nd Street Bistro. It is a neighborhood restaurant in Fort Pierce. On Wednesday evening they play a game of Trivia. As Donna and her friends have been coming here for dinner and playing for a while now. I was invited and came along for the ride. As there are tables settle up for different game players. We as our group had two large tables.(11 per table)   As I sat there, thinking wow I really am not good at this. But as the night went on we as a table did really good. We came in second place. 

I am hoping to go again this coming Wednesday night. 

Folks it really is neat to just think a little and sometimes the answers just come flying out. I am looking forward to playing it again. 

I know I am little behind on the blog. But this way I always have something to write about. 

I really hope and pray everyone is starting to get into the Christmas Spirit. 

Okay I have a gentlemen that needs a hand railing. (STRONG ONE)

Well as Roy and I walked around and talked with a employee that does special orders (Home Depot) . Asking about medal hand railings. She told me that the size I need will cost around $300,00 plus. So now what. I know the folks I am trying help, really don't have that kind of funds. So we walked around and just looking at different ways of making it happen. 

We talked about black pipe (gas pipe) This is very strong. Then thought why not just 1" galvanized pipe. Which is used for industrial construction. 

Why not ad least try and see how strong it will be? .  

We bought the parts and brought them to Wayne and asked what he thinks? Let us try and see what happens? So we ended up using 36" lengths. Put the whole thing to together and lined it up and Wayne said go for it. 

If we put up the good stuff, aluminum railing it would look a lot better. But is WORKS. As we used three, floor flanges. Two on the top. Putting one on the inside and the other holding the pipe in place. We used 5/16 X 3" bolts with nylon treads nuts. This way the blots will not loosen up at all. 

To get it on the correct angle, had to use a 45, plus a couple close nipples. Then Tap Con the flange down in the cement. 

Hey we had Wayne try it out and he was very happy. The cost was less than $120.00. 

Then we needed to put up some shelving on the side of his shed. All came out looking good to me. 

I am so happy to be able to help folks out. Plus make a buck or two. But at the end I am really below the going rate for fixing things up. But as long as I have the ability to do a good job and bless folks. 

It is for Him and Him alone.
