Hey what did you do on Friday night?

Jeanne and I had a nice fire in the back yard. It was so peaceful and even cool. We cooked some hot dogs and even made S'mores. 

We really did need the time to just chill. 

Saturday morning we got up and went to the drive through flea market in Lawnwood Park, here in Fort Pierce. Really was not that busy. We have driven by here a couple of other time and there were lines of cars. Oh well Jeanne had a chance to see her mom's old friend, Connie. Jeanne bought a orchid from her. Got a little caught up on how she is doing. At the end all is well. 

This is Julian shed. He is a teacher that Jeanne works with. Roy and I  did some other work at his home about a month or so. Put in electric in the shed, plus painted their inside doors. 

Okay while Jeanne and I stopped by one day to see how tings are going with them, he asked if we could put up shelving in his shed. 

So yesterday Jeanne and I went to Home Depot and bought the supplies and stared building. 

Started putting up support boards to hold the Closet Mate shelving. 

This job took us about 8 hours of real work. Building the supports and figuring out how to get the most out of the shelving. 

It was all Jeanne's idea. I think it really all came together and it usable too. 

On the sides we put up all of the hurricane galvanized shutters. They were very heavy. I was thinking like 200+ pounds. So we put up chains to secure the shelving in place. 

Hey everything went back in and Julian and his wife were very pleased. 

At end Jeanne and I were very tired and but loved how it came out. 

So what did you do Friday and Saturday???? 

Well I got a call from Roger, needing his railing replaced.

I just needed to replace the support. I took the old out and knocked out the screws and re drilled the holes and all is well. 

Use a little of flat spray paint and Roger is back in business. 

I love small jobs like this, takes about a hour or two. and done. Plus I had a chance to get to know Roger a little more too. He has bought another house in Vero Beach and selling this one. 

I think on Wednesday afternoon, Jeanne and I drove over to the Jetty (Hutchinson Island)  and took a nice walk. 

Not sure what this Coast Guard ship was working on. Jeanne was thinking maybe the buoys in the channel. 

It was very beautiful and peaceful down there. Seems like each time we come, it is worth the trip. 

I needed some sugar sand to roughen up a driveway and needed to repaint. So we took a small pail and the next day I repainted her driveway, just for the materials. The reason needed to repaint it was we left some light spots, plus it was a little slippery and she was not happy about that. 

All is well now.

About a month or so,

These are called Stud Solver #7 X 1 1/4. Well folks I have been using these for many years now. 

Back when I worked at Calvary Chapel. back in 2001 we were putting up white boards in each classroom. Which I am not sure how many, but over 100 of them. They were not small ones. I think 70" x 35" That is the size Staples sells. Well I believe they are still hanging in room.Why am I trying to share all this. Well back a month ago or so Roy and I were asked to do a small job. She wanted her Closet Mate shelves supported more. 

Okay so now I know these anchors work. So we used them on all of the closets shelves. I think we charged her $50.00 

She called me back and was thinking they are not going to hold all of her clothes. 

So I went back on Wednesday and started looking for studs in the closets. Just to make her happy. 

I took her clothes off the shelves and tried to put in more anchors. 

I started working on the next shelve and leaned on this one and it fell down. 

Tried to find the wood studs. No reason they are not on 16" centers. 

Do you see how nothing lines up for studs. But at the end I patched all the holes and walked away (2 hours plus) with $40.00 . I was thinking just need a couple of more anchors? So I ended up using the studs and she is very happy. 

Folks I really to try to make the customer satisfied. 

I have been blessed again by His peace and knowing I only need to depend on HIM.

Okay, when was the last time you wash and waxed your vehicles.

Hey we got our solar light, for the flag pole. The first couple of nights we had to take the flag down. The solar light was not here yet. But now it is, an I think it looks great . Now waiting on Trump flag and a nicer USA one. They (Old Glory) e mail me yesterday and told me they (flags) will be here by the week-end. 

Folks we need to show off our colors and be proud to support our President Donald Trump.

What did you do this last week-end?

Well in the pump room, I pulled the outlet out an drilled a hole through it to the other side. Then ran a wire thru. We have another outlet in the carport.  

This is another door that was never finished. So Jeanne picked the same molding we used on the front door and started making it happen. 

Not sure about you, but Jeanne gave me this work table (DeWalt) for Christmas and I got another chance to use it on this door frame. It really is nice and strong and just another set of hands to hold the lumber in place. Love it. 

It even looks better than the front door I did a couple of weeks ago, I think?

Hey not having a chop saw is not the end of the world, to do this kinda of work. Just figure out how to use a speed square and it does it a nice job too. 

So today, what projects have you been putting off around your home? 

He has given us gifts to make tings happen. So please set some time aside and let them be used today.

Okay we all are not call to work on home projects, but still seek what He wants. 

I pray that this day is is the day that He talks to you and you are willing to listen and DO IT..

A couple week-end projects.

Okay we need another outlet to the carport. So this is the pump room. I took the cover off the outlet and drilled a hole in the back of the box. Then just ran a wire through it and we have power. 

Yes there is another outlet in the carport. The Lord has been so good to me to just try making tings happens and it work even? 

About a month or so I went online to look for USA flag, So on Facebook I found Old Glory Flags. This organization is family run business. 

Their flag are made in Niagara Falls, New York. USA all the way.

Plus I have always bought flags that were just made to hang on the side of the house. 

NOW we have a 20 foot flag pole and very proud to wave it now. 

I did order a better flag and a TRUMP FLAG TOO. But they have not come in yet.

Folks this last month or so has been a lot of folks worrying about this and that. 

At the end of the day, I pray that we can all laugh and say we made it another day. 

PRAISE HIM TODAY AND THE NEXT. 

Hurricane Season is around the corner. Maybe sooner than planned?

My neighbor Brenda has asked me a couple of times to figure out how to protect her back windows. Last year, I looked and really didn't see how? So as she called me again, I asked Roy to take a look. 

He suggested maybe putting the plywood sideways? 

Let us give it a try. It looks like a plan. 

I think she likes it. It works for me. 

Now need to go to her daughter's place and work some out for her. 

Hey this is Kelly. She would like all of her windows covered. The windows themselves, have stucco around them. Kelly was telling us that a guy came out to put a satellite dish up for her for inter net. He told her that her that his drill would not go through the stucco? 

It took us about 15 minutes to drill and put up the hurricane bolts to hold the plywood in place. we got the front done and she likes it. Now to the back. 

This was a little more challenging. We cut each board to the size of the each screen panels. Then put in the hold down blots on each one. This really did take us a lot longer time than we planned for this job. 

Looking back now, Maybe we should have done the same, as her mom's screen room? Put the boards sideways? 

Oh well, she is happy and I guess that is all that counts. 

Hey have you praised HIM TODAY???? 

Yesterday, was a day to be caught up.

Picked up the repaired window, cost $81.59. Not bad. A new one would been a lot more. 

Reinstalled and customer is very happy. Made $50.00 buck each. 

Roy did the painting on the railing and the screen door. 

Then put the final coat of paint on the driveway. 

Folks for all the work we do, we really are doing it for peanuts. 

This job we walked away making $65.00 each. 

But at the end Roy and I have a couple of bucks in our pockets and we move on.

A couple of days ago, Roy and his wife got their stimulus check. I really thought this was kinda of neat to see our President"s name on it. Donald J. TRUMP

I really hope and pray you are all praying for this man. I think he is doing a great job, I know I will loose some of you, folks out there for saying this. 

BUT I BELIEVE HE IS, IN GOD"S PLAN TO MAKE U.S.A., A GREAT NATION AGAIN.
