We had a lot of cleaning to do to make this happen.

I wrote about how much more work was needed on this flooring. The glue and plastic took us almost four days to get it cleaned up.
We used a chemical that I found at Home Depot, clearance. We did as the label told us to. 1 part to 4 parts of water.
Then we used a 3 inch razor blade with handle. To scrap up the glue and plastic.

Then we mopped the floor. Jeanne said it was ready for the rug to see how nice it will be.

I am so happy that this chore is done.
Now we can move into this room and set it all up and move on to the rest of the house.
All I can say is Jeanne is very happy now.
That makes me very happy too.
Folks I hope you had a chance to hear from our Lord this week-end.
It was a very peaceful one for us and we are still thanking Him for all we have accomplished,
BY HIS GRACE.
Isaiah 26:12
Lord, You will grant us peace: all we have accomplished is really from YOU.

We had the opportunity to take a drive south.

Okay a week or so, Jeanne got a phone call about a watch. I guess 5 or more years ago, Jeanne dropped off this watch, Her mom gave her for graduating culinary collage. Back to he story. Well while she was living in North Palm Beach area. She dropped off this watch to get repaired. I guess she went back afterwards and found the store was closed. Plus she heard that the owner of the store was arrested for stealing people's jewelry that they dropped off.
I know there is more to the story, but she got a call to come on down the get her watch back at the North Palm Beach Police Station. So after work we took a ride south.
She got her watch and found out the guy got five years in prison.
Okay driving back home we had not had dinner. So she asked if we could stop here. Great, I love good hot dogs.

Very much a place to relax and enjoy some oldies , (music). It reminded me of a couple of places up north I use to eat at.

Now that is a HOT DOG WITH THE WORKS.
I kind a wish we both ordered two hot dogs each and save the fish for later. But we spilt the dog in half  and it was SOOOOOO GOOD.

These were our fish dinners. They tasted great too. But I really enjoyed the hot dog more.
Afterwards we headed back home and just chilled.
It really is nice to get away for a little while and not to think about all the things that are needed to get done.
I know Jeanne really needed a break from school work too. She has been pushing to get the grades in before  this last Friday Oct 16. I think we did this ride on Tuesday the 12th.
All is well and she got her grades in and today is Sunday the 18th.
Folks it really has been a lot of work to get our home in ordered and her school work done too.
But I can say today is a just  moving our Christmas Tree over form the old house and maybe straighten up the kitchen. Oh I need to mount the NEW TV 65" on the wall today too.
We will enjoy church on line and just see what happens.
Please take a few minutes and thank OUR LORD for this last week.
I know we will be.

We decided to change out the toilet in the guest bathroom.

The reason is, I pretty much use this bathroom and I need a taller and big toilet. It is hard to get up off of a little kid's toilet any more.

It is a little tight but I love it.
Moving into this home has been a BIG BLESSING.

Okay thinking, switch the doors on the dryer, how hard can it be???
Oh my golly, I had to take the whole door apart. But is the end it works and my Jeanne is very happy.
Today is Saturday and we have many item to put away in cabinets and cupboards.
It really is neat to see how this place is turning into our home.
I thank my LORD each and everyday. We are BLESSED BEYOND.

Hey remember the Dinning Room tile job???

Will after the first guys came in to finish the job. Jeanne got back on the phone and told them to come back and do some repairs.
Well the next day this kid came in with the boss (Andrew) and I showed him the problems. The boarder tile is not level. So Andrew showed this kid what needed to be done.

They would have to replace a couple of tiles and re grout them. Okay the owner came back in that afternoon, I walked around and he showed me what he did. I thought it looked good. That was my problem, I THOUGHT.
Well I paid the guy and all is well???? NOT.
Jeanne came home and showed me that it will be oaky, BUT.
Now if you look at the pictures of the main tile. There is a film on them. We knew that right after they laid them. The first crew tried to clean them up. But there is still glue on them. So for the next three day and nights Jeanne and I clean and scraped and clean some more.
At the end we should be in good shape.

It was a lot of work but they look good now.
Folks sometimes we think we need to clean ourselves up from SIN. But it is not our job or responsible.
THAT BELONGS TO JESUS. So ask HIM today and no more worries about our future.
Please take the time today and praise HIM .

Okay Roy and I are still doing side jobs.

This is Sherry's home. I guess a while back she had someone come in the replace her screens in her Florida Room? Well as time has passed, the screen loosened up. So she asked if we could repairs them?
The first one we replaced with a new screen. The rest we just took the spine out and pulled on the screens and they are tight again. Had to trim off a little bit of the waste. There is a large palm tree in front that needed trimming. That was a bigger job than I thought at first. Plus she wanted a threshold put in. Between the pantry and the kitchen floor. When someone put in the new flooring, they didn't put in the threshold. All is well now.

The next couple of days we went over to Gerri's house and did some other kind of work, painting.
I sanded everything down and Roy did the painting.

At the end Gerri was very happy and even liked the color of the door.
Folks I know I am retied and doing a lot of work on our new home. But I still need to make some extra money so we can do different things and have some nice stuff too.
All I know is He is the ONE that gives me these jobs and as long as I can do them, I will.
Like today Tuesday (14th) I will be caulking and painting at our house. Plus moving some baker racks from the old house to here.
I am so, sooooo, BLESSED by HIS GRACE.

Okay remember us having the carpet pulled out of the dinning room?

This is the owner of the business. Andrew and his crew are from, Portugal. So the English is not to good.
So we made it work, but there were a couple of hick-ups.

This is Michael and his helper (sorry no sure of name) Hey these two kicked butt.

As they were working, we noticed there will be plenty of tile to do the whole room. So Michael had to take up a couple of tiles and relayed them. The reason was the owner Andrew, told us we didn't have enough tile. So Jeanne and I went out the day before and bought more tile. Spend $428.00 + Not the same tile, the reason is this tile Jeanne, bought a few years ago. You would not find the correct lot number to match the old tile. This way they could lay the tile we already had and put a boarder around it twice.
That is crazy, we don't want to save any tile for any thing else?

So as they were winding down, Michael just had his helper cut a of pieces of the boarder tile, just to see how it will look.
Looking great. The tiles are level and Jeanne is very happy.
Folks if I have not not said anything else, JEANNE IS HAPPY.

So now these two finished up for the day.
Now we were thinking these two guys would be coming back on Monday morning to finish the job????
Not to BE. Another guy came to do the boarder.
This part of the work is great, now I will share about the next guy tomorrow.
Hey all I would love to do now is share Jesus's love with you.
Please be kind to others today and put a big smile on, to show your happiness of Jesus in your heart.

Hey this is the first carpet laying Roy and I have done.

We did a rough cut. that means. Took the large piece of carpet and laid it out on another larger floor area. Then just cut it about 6 inches more than needed.

Laid it out and cut another 4 inches off along the wall.

Really no problems at all. Just tuck the carpet under the base board and all is well. Ellen was very happy and pretty much satisfies us too.
Folks this week-end was a time to get our dinning room floor cleaned and ready for the table and hutch
That is the story I will be sharing tomorrow. .
My prayer is that you and your family had a wonderful week-end and that you spent time with HIM (JESUS)
As each day goes by, our time on this earth is fading.
That means:  PLEASE MAKE PEACE WITH HIM, BEFORE IT RUNS OUT.

Roy and I have a small job at his brother's home.

Need to take out the old faucets and drains. It should be a piece of cake???

These valves are very old and well built. It was a project to get the old ones out.

Had to use the Sawzall to cut the old drain out. But we got them both out and ready to go with all new stuff.

Kind a of tight up underneath. But like I said, it all went in.

After about two and half hours we were finished. It ready was a beautiful job at the end.
The funny thing is about two years ago, Roy and I put this sink in. At that time the old faucets didn't work, Richard (owner) told us he would bring in a plumber and repair them. That would be Michael.
Almost two years go by and they still didn't work. So the sad part is we could have put new stuff in then. Save us a lot of time and much easier doing it while the sink is out.
Oh well all is done and looks great too.
Folks I am so blessed to be able to help others out an do these kinds of work.
I praise Him for the work and the wisdom to do it right.
Hey it is Sunday, are you going to church and THANK HIM TODAY?
I know we are and that is all He asks is talk with Him.
Have a wonderful day and enjoy LIFE.

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
