The Bahamaian Foil Commitee

They come undercover to every event,
Whether held at work, home, church, in a hotel or tent,
They sit there disguised going along with the groove,
But watching and alert to make their move.
The food is all served, they eat heartily,
Peas n' rice, ham, coleslaw, chicken, macaroni,
Now with stomachs full, all ready and able,
They edge to the area with the serving table.
When they get there and take a good look,
One thing comes to mind "Now I'll not have to cook",
Then they quickly assess what they will need,
To fill all the mouths that they plan to feed.
Purses put down and hands all free,
They get extra plates, one, two, three,
Now comes the question, asked as smooth as oil,
'Excuse me honey, y'all have any foil?"
Then with foil in hand, like a demolition crew,
They clean up the table through and through,
Totally oblivious of onlookers' eyes,
They take up portions of every size.
All laden down and now ready to go,
They move towards the door faces aglow,
Waving, hailing, giving hugs and a kiss,
They drive off in their cars in food loving bliss.
Some persons present wonder "Hey, what's the deal?"
"These people so bold you think they for real?"
Yes, and it's natural for them for you see,
