I have a qiestion for all of you our there.

Let me first start out with what has happen. Two weeks ago I bought a new 2 horse power well pump. It cost us $655.87. That is after we did some shopping here on this island. Just to let you know who Bob is. Bob and his wife Fay come each year to help us out here at the ALC, they are both retried and stay here for three months helping any where that is needed. Okay last Tuesday morning we took out our old pump, it was fried. During this time we had to go buy fittings and things to make it fit. Okay we got the new pump in and ran it. NO PRESSURE pumping out of it. So we rechecked everything that we did. Still no pressure. Okay I called the place where I bought the pump. The guy that over sees the pumps, told me to bring it back in and he would look at it. So Bob and I got the pump and drove over to the place. The guy, Johnny, not his real name, he looked at it and said let us try rewiring it. so he did it. I asked him to test it. He told me that they didn't have any place to test it. (220 volts). So he told us to reinstall it, see what happens. Bob and I went back and put it all back together again. Still not pumping. I called Johnny again, he said bring it back again. I said why???? you don't have any place to test it. Could you send someone out to us here at the ALC? He told me that he would call me back. Which he did and told me that someone would call me that day and see what we can do. The guy called and told me that he would be out to see what our problem is, in a hour. He showed up and checked all our work on it. He was not sure why it didn't work. He told me maybe the check valve in the well was not working correctly. I told him that I would work on it tomorrow. Being it was after 5pm. I didn't want to hold him up any more. We all walked out to his truck and we got to his truck, he tells me that would be $90.00 please. I looked at him and said WHAT? I explained to him what has happen and he tells me that the plumbing store doesn't pay him. he works for himself. I told him that I was sorry but I don't think this is my problem? He left, not happy at all. I thought during the night about our talk, I came up with this. Okay now if the flapper valve doesn't work correctly. I believe we should pay him, the check valve doesn't have any thing to do with the pump it self. I talked with Adam, my boss. Explain what I think. He said okay, sounds fair. Bob and I took apart the piping that goes to the well. Replaced the check valve, still doesn't work.
You guys still with me???? Okay so Bob and I took the new pump out and found another one. It works great. This morning I took the new pump back and asked for the manager. He came out and I explained it all to him. He said the guy that ask someone else to come out was wrong. He understood what I was talking about. He gave me back our $655.87. End of story. Oh the pump we are using now, cost nothing. The reason was, Bob found it in our small trailer. It was sitting there all this time. My thinking was, it was JUNK. We tested it and the motor worked. I just looked at the pump again this morning, works great.

I had a opportunity to help out my cousin.

It has been a while since I have trimmed and cleaned out her gutters too.  Oh, the reason I am here now is because Jeanne and her sisters pl...
