Yes I do work!

Keeper, think about this,

Their marriage was good, their dreams focused. Their best friends lived barely a wave away. I can see them now, Dad in trousers, tee shirt and a hat and Mom in a house dress; lawn mower in his hand, and dish-towel in hers. It was the time for fixing things. A curtain rod, the kitchen radio, screen door, the oven door, the hem in a dress. Things we keep.
It was a way of life, and sometimes it made me crazy. All that re-fixing, eating, renewing, I wanted just once to be wasteful. Waste meant affluence. Throwing things away meant you knew there'd always be more.
But then my mother died, and on that clear summer's night, in the warmth of the hospital room, I was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't any more. Sometimes, what we care about most gets all used up and goes away...never to return. So... While we have it... Its best we love it... And care for it..... And fix it when it's broken..... And heal it when it's sick.
This is true... For marriage.... And old cars.... And children with bad report cards..... Dogs and cats with bad hips... And aging parents... And grandparents, aunts and uncles and friends. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it...
Some things we keep. Like a best friend who moved away or a classmate we grew up with. There are just some things that make life important, like people we know who are special.... And so, we keep them close in heart and mind and spirit.

I have a question for you???

Okay we went to a place called Jamba Juice. My question is? Why do they have on their price list (example) Mega Mango- $7.75? Then they charged me $1.16 gratuity, which now is $8.91? Why would they charge me gratuity for standing in a line and waiting to be served? Why don't we have to pay at McDonald's gratuity? Or even Burger King? Now if they have their prices at $8.91, I would have walked away. Remember this is a fast drink place and why is it soooooooo much? I can tell you this I will not be back into that place ever again. I am calling the manager today to ask him these same questions. I know he will blow me off and think no more about this. But I know I will be passing this on to others.
The drink was okay, not worth $8.91.

Last night was a time to just hang out.

The story below, We all have question?????

Things have questions on.

Why isn't the number 11 pronounced onety-one?
If 4 out of 5 people SUFFER from diarrhea...does that mean that one out of five enjoys it?
Why do croutons come in airtight packages? Aren't they just stale bread to begin with?
If people from Poland are called Poles, then why aren't people from Holland called Holes?
If a pig loses its voice, is it disgruntled?
Why is a person who plays the piano called a pianist, but a person who drives a racecar is not called a racist?
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?
If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen defrocked, then doesn't it follow that electricians can be delighted, musicians denoted, cowboys deranged, s deposed, tree surgeons debarked, and dry cleaners depressed?
If Fed Ex and UPS were to merge, would they call it Fed UP? ?
Do Lipton Tea employees take "coffee breaks?"
What hair color do they put on the driver's licenses of bald men?
I thought about how mothers feed their babies with tiny little spoons and forks, so I wondered what do Chinese mothers use. Toothpicks?
Why do they put pictures of criminals up in the Post Office? What are we supposed to do, write to them? Why don't they just put their pictures on the postage stamps so the mailmen can look for them while they deliver the mail?
Is it true that you never really learn to swear until you learn to drive?
If a cow laughed, would milk come out of her nose?
Whatever happened to Preparations A through G?
As income tax time approaches, did you ever notice: When you put the two words "The" and "IRS" together, it spells
"THEIRS"?

Story of life

On the first day, God created the dog and said, "Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years."
The dog said, "That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I'll give you back the other ten?"
So God agreed . . .
On the second day, God created the monkey and said, "Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I'll give you a twenty-year life span."
The monkey said, "Monkey tricks for twenty years? That's a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the dog did?"
And God agreed . . .
On the third day, God created the cow and said, "You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer's family. For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years."
The cow said, "That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. How about twenty and I'll give back the other forty?"
And God agreed again . . .
On the fourth day, God created humans and said, "Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. For this, I'll give you twenty years."
But the human said, "Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the fortythe cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?"
"Okay," said God.. "You asked for it."
So that is why for our first twenty years, we eat, sleep, play and enjoy ourselves. For the next forty years, we slave in the sun to support our family. For the next ten years, we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And for the last ten years, we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.

Hey it is the middle of the week.

Yes it is, and why am I saying that? No real reason, just away to open up a letter. I have been having a lot of trouble of the inter net at my place. So I now have to come back over to the Centre to do my e mails and blog. The reason is the I am just close enough to get a low reading. But then it seems to fad away after a short time. So I have asked Dustin to see if there is any thing else for us to do to boast the inter net to come to my home.
Okay Now I put these pictures in on Monday and today I will try yo explain who is who.
1) John, Mark and another John. The paper is on John's chin from shaving that morning.
2)Bride' maids.
3) Pastor Chet and Christina and Steve.
4) The knot has been tried and now they may kiss each other. It really was a nice wedding and to see two people that really do love the Lord and each other.
This was done by the people of the Bahamas. Steve and Christina found out durng the Summer that there was a contest on winning a wedding here in the Bahamas for FREE. So Christina started out video taping and just having a lot of fun putting all this together. So I guess they won the prize and here they are getting married. It was hot but still a beautiful time and seeing their families there was really nice too. Well I know they were blessed and every one around them too.

The pictures below.

This last Thursday we had the chance to meet the broad of directors of the ALC/Patmos/Quest. It really was a good time to hear all that has been going on behind the sences. yes Wednesday all day they meet at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Looking at the pictures I will tell you who is who.
The picture right below this- Pastor Chet with his arms in the air, Chad, Pastor Chris, Randy, Stacey, Lee, Jim Campbell and his lovely wife.
I can be sure that this group of people are focus and ready to make this place start to move forward. I was blessed to be able to sit with a couple of them. You know asking them questions on all that has been going on here. Remember I have been here now over 4 years. Yes I have meet this broad before, but not all of them were not on the broad before. So looking forward in seeing some great things to happen here.
Like right now as I write, The Patmos students are on their way to Brazil. That right, they will be there for a month. The main reason is Chuck Smith, Calvary Ca. He has this land there that has a great camp site and just by talking with Pastor Chet and other that have been there. I can't wait to be able to go myself. It really sound like a real nice place. The students will be there like I said a month. Working on things and just seeing all what can happen there. Plus they will be helping out in the areas around there. Like I said, this place might be our next step with Patmos. Pastor Chet was telling us before that during the summer months he will be running a Patmos down there, with 150 students. It sounds crazy but, what he has told us. It might work after all. Remember who is in control? Jesus Christ. When I get pictures and stories about this place I will put them on this blog. So please if you think of us at all. Prayer is needed for sooooooo MANY TINGS.

Our broad meeting for ALC.

Hello all,MEN of the Bahamas.

Just want to make sure every one know that we have started up the Men's Bible study again. That is the one that starts at 6:30am on every Saturday morning. Yes the turn out was low this morning, but I know they will start coming after the Word is put forth.
Pastor Lee is starting this off with Character-Good Reputation. The study is going around on the Book of Philemon. This Book is about a slave that runs away from his master and then becomes a Christian. Paul comes to his defence and ask Philemon if Onesimus. If he could come back and he would serve Paul's ministry. It is a short Book. Only has 25 verses. No chapters. But has a lot of meat in it. This is about Character. Pastor Lee is trying something else. Called accountability. He wants all of us to have a couple accountability partners. So starting next week, we will have about 15 minutes on prayer. 45 to 50 minutes on the study. Then the remaining time accountability meeting and eating some good food too.

Pastor Chet is back to Bible studies on Thursday night.

Good day all.

I just want to share a quit note. These last two weeks I have been in a lot of pain. The reason is I hurt my back two Mondays ago. Now I did see a doctor and he told me to just take it easy. Which I said okay. That next day I was back to work and doing pretty much every thing that I usually do. You know fill water bottles and repair a set of brakes. While repairing the brakes I needed to be bending over and picking up tires and just doing foolish tings. I kept thinking I am doing much better now. I would go home and try now taking the Motrin that the doctor ordered for me to take. I kept thinking if I take it I would be defeating the purpose of the pain. I would do even more foolish things with pain killers.
Well the pain has not gotten any better. So yesterday I went back to the doctor and told him all the foolish tings that I have been doing. He told me to get a x ray of my back and he ordered more pills for me. I came back from there and went to bed. I slept all afternoon. Got up and went to Bible study last night. Felt great. Boy I sure have been a fool by trying to fix my back by my ways. This morning had some pain, reason a lot of raining going on out side. But as I write I am feeling MUCH BETTER, REALLY I AM.

Remember the ones we love. so we don't.

One day a woman's husband died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't "anymore."
No more hugs,no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute."
Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye, say "I love you."
So while we have it, it's best we love it,care for it, fix it when it's broken and heal it when it's sick.
This is true for marriage ...and old cars, and children with bad report cards, and dogs with bad hips, family and aging parents and grandparents.
We keep them because they are worth it ......because we are worth it.
Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away or a sister-in-law after divorce.
There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.
Life is important. We only have one.
We only have one mom, one dad, one unique brother or sister or friend.
I received this from someone who thought I was a 'keeper'! Then I sent it to the people I think of in the same way.
Now it's your turn to send this to all those people who are "keepers" in your life, including the person who sent it,if you feel that way.
Suppose one morning you never wake up.
Do all your friends know you love them?
I was thinking....I could die today, tomorrow or next week, and I wondered if I had any wounds needing to be healed, friendships that needed rekindling or three words needing to be said.
Let every one of your friends and family know you love them. Even if you think they don't love you back, you would be amazed at what those three little words and a smile can do.

I am sending out prayer request for myself.

This last Monday night i got into problem with guy. It all comes down to where in Proverbs says, don't get in the middle of someone else fight. I did that and I have pulled my back out. I went to the doctor Tuesday and he gave me some pills. One is Robaxin and the other is Motrin. I can tell you this after taking these I do feel better. I did work yesterday and maybe I over did it. But I am up today and going there again. The doctor told me not to just lay around. Use that back a little. I just am asking for prayers so I will be back to normal. You ask what is normal? Well I just want to be able to work and not have to use these pills. As I am standing here writing this I am feeling better and I know after time I should be back to my old self.
All I am trying to say is Please when someone else is fighting. Have discernment, and think before you try to fix their problems.

That right I got new bicycle.

I had a opportunity to help out my cousin.

It has been a while since I have trimmed and cleaned out her gutters too.  Oh, the reason I am here now is because Jeanne and her sisters pl...
