This was a little get together to say good by to Chelsie and Terry.

The two girls you see in the first picture is Chelsie and Terry. They both have been here to help us out with the children program. Now Terry has been here now 9 months, I think? Chelsie came during the Summer program. We have been very blessed to see how God has been using them with the children. I know they both really don't want to leave. But with Terry her funds are running low. Chelsie has a boy friend back home and she really has been missing him. Plus she will be going back to school when she get back. Terry has a job working in ER as a nurse. So they both have tings to do when they get back. I know we will miss them very much, they have been a big help and good friends too. Their flights are tomorrow at 1pm. Please say a prayer or two for them to get home safe.

By looking at this, you might say what are they building there now? It is not a Shrine, but a new puppet stage.

Tim, Mark Eric and myself came together to see if we an build a Tree Fort Stage. Mark found this company that makes tree out of cement. By watching the video it looks pretty easy to do. So we all  decide to start by building the base of the tree. Then built the fort on top it is. Tim has been the one pretty much doing the building. I have been feeding his the lumber to keep going. It really doesn't look much like a tree. But wait and see when we start putting the cement on. Like I said this is just the frame and now next Tuesday we hope to put the sheeting up around the wood frame. Then we will put the wire mesh on. Then guess what is next? That's right the cement. So please say posted and I will keep you all in the loop.

Well I look on and say THANK YOU LORD.

You can see I took off the unit off the Jungle bus. Put it on the World bus, this is the one I told about the day before. Thinking the Power Booster was leaking brake fluid all over the fire wall.
Okay Tim helped me get the unit in and hooked the brake pedal. I poured some brake fluid in the master cylinder. I look again and saw brake fluid squirting up from a d brake line. Okay how can this BE? I didn't test it when the girl told me the brakes went out. NO I KNOW IT IS THE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER? It has to be. The reason is there is brake fluid all over the fire wall. Okay now looking on and saying. Okay so I wasted a couple of days looking for this unit and then saying okay I will switch it out of the Jungle bus. The reason is two, the Jungle bus has a broken shock and we need the bigger bus for the children. The last couple of weeks we have been getting in bigger groups of kids. You know like 60 and up. So we really need the World bus up and running. The two other smaller buses only hold 48 kids. Now remember I have two buses down now. I need to get the Jungle bus back up. There are 70 kids needing a ride back to school today at 2pm. So I got the booster I took off of the World bus (Wednesday)and reinstalled it and works great.
Now looking at the brake line that had a hole in it, saying I will need to replace the brake line. I tried taking it out. But the way the bus is built, can't get to the bolts that hold it in place. Now what? Looking at the line, now look at it. It has a coil around it and how do you repair this? Okay I cut the line and found out there is a wire wrapped around the outside of brake line. Okay I can fix this. Which by HIS Grace and HIS wisdom I got it a part and replace a small part of the line. THANK YOU LORD FOR YOUR WISDOM

Tim and I did this and boy am I EXCITED. I really think it looks GREAT. How about you?

It looks like we need to replace the power brake booster?

One of the girls came back from a run to dropping off the children. She told me the brakes are going to the floor. I lifted the hood and see brake fluid all over the fire wall. Looked inside and see the fluid is pretty much all gone. Must be the booster went out? That day I looked every where to find one here on the island. No luck at all. Must order it from the states. The bus is down until tomorrow. I will switch it out of the Jungle bus. The reason is that bus has a broken shock and I don't like the idea of them driving it that way. We will see what He has planned out for me tomorrow. The reason I say this all is, you will laugh about what happen tomorrow.

Look we have started to put up mirrors lights

Last Tuesday, Tim and I worked on getting the lights and mirrors ready. We had to do some chipping and just moving the wires over so you don't see them after the mirrors are up. Really coming a long.

These are some pictures of a fellow workers' home at one time.

Yes it is sad to see how a fire can destroy some one's home. Celavie is one of the guys that take care of our grounds at the ALC. Last Sunday afternoon, a fire broke out. He was not there during the time. So he didn't get a chance to save any thing. You know passport and money he has been saving up. Plus all his personal things too.  ALC staff have come togeteher to help him with clothes and funds just so he can get some what his needs taken care of,. His car was burnt up too. If you look around you can see how poor these people live. These are Haitian homes, they pretty much built these with their own hands and what ever they can find to make a house. They pay each week $65.00 to stay here on the land. Not sure who owns it and who gets the money. But this was his home. Now all gone. Please say a prayer or two for these people. During Thanksgiving we had the families that lost their homes over for a nice dinner and gave them some things to help them out. They really need your prayers. Thank you and I hope all of you had a wonderful THANKSGIVING TOO.
I look on and say THANK YOU LORD FOR ALL WE HAVE.

I've sure gotten old!

I've had two bypass surgeries, a hip replacement,

new knees, fought prostate cancer and diabetes

I'm half blind, can't hear anything quieter than a jet engine,

take 40 different medications that

make me dizzy, winded, and subject to blackouts.

Have bouts with dementia. Have poor circulation;

hardly feel my hands and feet anymore.

Can't remember if I'm 85 or 92.

Have lost all my friends. But, thank God,

I still have my Florida driver's license.

I feel like my body has gotten totally out of shape,

so I got my doctor's permission to

join a fitness club and start exercising.

I decided to take an aerobics class for seniors.

I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for an hour..

But, by the time I got my leotards on,

the class was over.

An elderly woman decided to prepare her will and

told her preacher she had two final requests.

First, she wanted to be cremated, and second,

she wanted her ashes scattered over Wal-Mart.

'Wal-Mart?' the preacher exclaimed. 'Why Wal-Mart?'

'Then I'll be sure my daughters visit me twice a week.'

...The Whale... If you read a recent front page story of the San Francisco Chronicle, you would have read about a female humpback whale who had become entangled in a spider's web of crab traps and lines. She was weighed down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso and a line tugging in her mouth.


  A fisherman spotted her just east of the Farallon Islands (outside the Golden Gate ) and radioed an environmental group for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so badly off that the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her. They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her.


  When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, and nudged them and pushed them gently around as she was thanking them.

  Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives. The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth said her eyes were following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.

  May you, and all those you love, be so blessed and fortunate to be surrounded by people who will help you get untangled from the things that are binding you. And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude.

Who is your Susie in your life?

WET                                 PANTS                             Come with me              to a third grade classroom..... There is a           nine-year-old kid sitting at his desk and all of           a sudden, there is a puddle between his feet and             the front of his pants are wet. He thinks his               heart is going to stop because he cannot             possibly imagine how this has happened. It's             never happened before, and he knows that when            the boys find out he will never hear the end of           it. When the girls find out, they'll never speak                      to him again as long as he                                lives.                                The boy           believes his heart is going to stop; he puts his           head down and prays this prayer, 'Dear God, this            is an emergency! I need help now! Five minutes                           from now I'm dead                                meat.'                              He looks up            from his prayer and here comes the teacher with               a look in her eyes that says he has been                              discovered.                                As the              teacher is walking toward him, a class mate            named Susie is carrying a goldfish bowl that is            filled with water. Susie trips in front of the           teacher and inexplicably dumps the bowl of water                             in the boy's                                lap...                                The boy              pretends to be angry, but all the while is            saying to himself, 'Thank you, Lord! Thank you,                                Lord!'                             Now all of a           sudden, instead of being the object of ridicule,            the boy is the object of sympathy. The teacher            rushes him downstairs and gives him gym shorts           to put on while his pants dry out. All the other            children are on their hands and knees cleaning            up around his desk. The sympathy is wonderful.             But as life would have it, the ridicule that             should have been his has been transferred to                            someone else -                                Susie.                             She tries to            help, but they tell her to get out. You've done                              enough, you                                klutz!'                              Finally, at            the end of the day, as they are waiting for the            bus, the boy walks over to Susie and whispers,             'You did that on purpose, didn't you?' Susie                  whispers back, 'I wet my pants once                                 too.'                            May God help            us see the opportunities that are always around                               us to do                                good..

Someone left us a coupe of gifts. Wasn't had nice?

A couple of weeks ago, Kevin and I went to the movies. At the time I didn't have my top on the back of the truck. We came out and saw that someone was getting rit of their garbage and even left us a full bottle of Bud Lite. Wasn't that nice of them? The two smaller packages were diapers.

Look and see,HOW DO YOU OPEN THIS BACK DOOR? I don't see where the doors opens.

I am very blessed to call Harri a good friend. He comes here and helps out plus we get to felloship too.

We had a chance to rebuilt the well entrance. It is over 19 years old. Pretty much rotten away. But now all is well again, Do you Get?

Saturday night we had our Single's meeting. I really enjoy when we get together and have this time to share and just get to know each other a little bit more.

Saturday helped a real nice couple out. Their name is Kim and Seneal.

Yes it is PTA time again, Thursday night we had about 80 parents and 30 teachers. Not bad. Plus the meeting was on what has been happening around C.V. Bethel

This is some thing my friend have sent to me about how e mails can make you think and maybe NOT

As we progress into 2013, I want to thank you all for your educational e-mails over the past year.  I am totally screwed up now and have little chance of recovery.

I can no longer open a bathroom door without using a paper towel, nor let the waitress put lemon slices in my ice water without worrying about the bacteria on the lemon peel.

I can't sit down on a hotel bedspread because I can only imagine what has happened on it since it was last washed.

I have trouble shaking hands with someone who has been driving because the number one pastime while driving alone is picking one's nose.

Eating a little snack sends me on a guilt trip because I can only imagine how many gallons of trans fats I have consumed over the years.

I can't touch any woman's handbag for fear she has placed it on the floor of a public toilet.

I must send my special thanks for the email about rat poo in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet sponge with every envelope that needs sealing.

ALSO, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.

I can't have a drink in a bar because I fear I'll wake up in a bathtub full of ice with my kidneys gone.

I can't eat at KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes, feet or feathers.

I can't use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day.

Thanks to you I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.

Because of your concern , I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains.

I no longer buy fuel without taking someone along to watch the car, so a serial killer doesn't crawl in my back seat when I'm filling up.

I no longer use Cling Wrap in the microwave because it causes seven different types of cancer.

And thanks for letting me know I can't boil a cup of water in the microwave anymore because it will blow up in my face, disfiguring me for life.

I no longer go to the cinema because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS when I sit down.

I no longer go to shopping centers because someone will drug me with a perfume sample and rob me..

And I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number for which I will get a huge phone bill with calls to Jamaica , Uganda , Singapore and Uzbekistan

Thanks to you I can't use anyone's toilet but mine because a big black snake could be lurking under the seat and cause me instant death when it bites my butt.

And thanks to your great advice I can't ever pick up a quarter coin dropped in the car park because it was probably placed there by a sex molester waiting to grab me as I bend over.

I can't do any gardening because I'm afraid I'll get bitten by the Violin Spider and my hand will fall off.

If you don't send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in the next 70 minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land
on your head at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, and the fleas from 120 camels will infest your back, causing you
to grow a hairy hump. I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbors
ex mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's best friend's beautician!

Oh, and by the way...

Roads sand filled after the storm Main Electrical Pole and Panel Electrical team with “painting” wives
It is with great delight that the camp survived the storm of hurricane “Sandy” with no major damage! Join us as we thank God and we thank you for all for your prayers!
Over the years it has been a prayer of ours that one day the camp’s electrical wiring would be fully rewired as there was an array of wires hanging haphazardly throughout. This seemed like a huge project, but with God’s help it went very smoothly and the hazard no longer exist. This was a huge blessing with the strong winds of the hurricane. There were various teams who helped to make this happen. This summer all new poles were installed throughout the camp; then a team of tree trimmers “opened” the way by cutting and trimming trees; Once ready, a team of electricians came who rewired and removed the old wires, making it look like a simple task! We would like to thank everyone involved and Next Step Ministries for their financial backing of this project!
Sometimes storms are not due to weather, but because of the circumstances happening in our lives. Many of you know that for the past year we have been trying to help a single mother with her children. This past week Wooshalno and Richelle’s mother, Manette passed away. It has been a time of sadness as the children grieve with us and this has left them with uncertainty of who will be caring for them as she left no written instructions. We are praying that both the family and the government would allow them to continue living with us and that one day they would be put into our care fulltime and Lord willing, legally be our children.

Prayer Request
~ Praise God that the items needed for the electrical team was released from customs in time to do the work.
~ Pray for the children as they continue to grieve their mother’s death and attend the funeral in the days ahead. Pray for good memories of their mother, for their future, and for God’s love and peace in their lives.
~ Pray that the Lord leads us clearly and places the correct people into our lives to assist and advise us legally with the children. Pray that we have the words to help comfort them. We thank God for the privilege of being in their lives and being His arms to hold them. Thank God for His timing of sending our friend Linda to help.

A couple days ago, saw this. Now look hard, he is sleeping in that chair.

I found a new toy

Yes this toy you can put your computer on your TV. Yes I said Computer to TV. It is so neat. I know it has been out for a while. But I just found out about it and bought it, ($69.00) here. I saw it on line for $27.00.
But for me it was worth it.
I wanted it because we don't have cable TV. But now free inter net TV. The picture some times freezes, but wait a second or two it is running again.

This is a neat story about one of Kevin's relative. maybe a cousin

A couple of days ago, Nassau had a big party for Mr Poitier. The bridge that goes over to Paradise Island is now named Sidney Poitier Bridge. It really was neat to hear and watch on ZNS TV (here).
 I am not sure if you would have seen or heard about him? He was a big movie star back in the 60"s I think he was the first back man to do picture shows. I remember To Sir With Love. He was a teacher. The Guess For Dinner.( I think I am close to the name) A white girl bring home Sidney for dinner. Back then it would have made a big deal.
Now Kevin has been told he is related to him by his dad. Kevin Donny Poitier. I guess his dad lived on Cat Island back a ways. That is where Sidney use to live. Please if you get a chance to look up Cat Island you will see some thing about Sidney home and what he did there.
