I have been telling you all about the problems I have had with over heating. So I have been shopping, Advance Auto -$168.99, Pep Boys- $172.99. I got this on Amazon for $116.98. Okay looking at the box and saying maybe not a good deal? But open it up and only saw a little dent on the bottom piece. Should not be a problem at all. Today I will be taking my truck over to a friends house, Bill. There we should get it out and then the new one in a half hour or so. Prayerfully this will solve my over heating? The test will be afterwards. Just driving it around town this afternoon.
There really is nothing else I can do, IF it is still over heating.
I have flushed it three different times. Costing me around $200.00 in total. Replace the thermostat, power flush at high pressure too. Replace antifreeze, half and half water.
Hey I was on line one day and saw this video on using antifreeze. The guy was telling me that you need to use half and half. If you use straight antifreeze the system will rust out. I know using just water is the worst thing you could ever do. The reason I say that is, we use to have a Toyota car at ALC. The guy that drove it only put water in and at the end of his time driving it, rust was everywhere. That is what I think the guy before, got my Ford Ranger did too.
