Not sure about you.

I thought living in Florida it would never get cold???? 

Just joking it is somewhat refreshing. But I had my furnace on last night and this morning. 

I just love how much fun it is when family is around.

Okay now I have another cuz in town. This is Greg. He lives in Largo,Fl. As we were sitting around getting some things straight. You know who is doing what and where and all that stuff that happens in our lives. 

We went down to the rec hall. There shot a couple of games of pool. Then we drove over to Cowboys for dinner. There I had cat fish, all I could eat. I only had the first helping. The plate was full. Afterwards we said our good byes to Debbie and Jon. Greg spent the night and he left yesterday afternoon. We all have things to do. So it really was nice to spend the time with them all.

These pictures are along Vero Beach, beach. For this time of the year it really is quiet.

This is Rolls Royce. not sure who's this belongs to? But it definitely is different. 

We walked around the Jetty on Hutchinson Island. I just love watching these pelicans and the people around the area. We had a wonderful time just hanging out and that night Greg my other cousin came to town. We all went out for dinner and have some good old fashion talking time. 

Family is very important. Please don't ever take them for granite 

When family come to visit. I am so happy to see them.

Well yesterday I had two blessings. First was my niece Kathy and her hubby Gary. They live up north in Virginia. As this time of the year they love to come south and visit her daughter, Megan. Her and her hubby live in West Palm Beach area. So as Kathy and her hubby drove south to visit them, She texted me and we meet at a place called Pelican Cafe. It is in Stuart,Fl. It really worked out great. It is 30 miles from my place and 25 miles from where they are staying. We had a nice lunch and got some what caught up on what has been happening since our last time together. Which was two years ago. 

Well as we were departing, We talked about maybe them stopping by my place on the way back north.  

Then last night one of my cousins stopped by. This is Jon and my cuz Debbie. Hey they drove over from Clear Water, Fl. As the holidays are around us, they decided to come on over my way and stop by. They came to the house and I showed them around and we sat for a little while and then. We went out to dinner and then drove down to Fort Pierce marina. As walking around and seeing the light show, we sat around and talked and talked some more. 

I am very blessed to have family around and to just get a few hours together is wonderful time. 

We walked around the marina area and saw all these folks standing along the water's edge and looked down and saw Cat Fish, everywhere. It was kinda funny how the No Fishing sign is right here and there are 100's of fish. I  know it is because the people feed them with bread and things like that. 

As time was winding down and it was time to get back home. They dropped me off and today I will be able to show them around a little and my other cousin comes in later on today. That is Greg. He is helping his sister (Bonita) out in Winter Haven today. So afterwards he will be driving over here and he will spend the evening and so on. 

Family is a wonderful thing and such a blessing. Thank you Lord for all the time I get to spend with them.

These bottles of pop are being sold at Home Depot? 

I have a great friend that lives in Baltimore, Md. His name is Don. I have known him since we were 7 years old. I know I have written about him last year. I even spent a week with him and his lovely wife Megen. Okay why is this turning out to be a big story? Well back in 1971. Don and I drove across the states. We even went down to Mexico. During that time, we had some good times. I see things like this and text him pictures like this every once and while. 

Just reliving my pass a little. 

I am not sure what this next year will bring, but I know this. 

Our Lord Jesus Christ is in control and that is pretty much all I have say. 

What New Years plans do you have?

Okay this was our outing yesterday around 4 pm. If you look around you see many people here. I was kinda of surprise on that. The reason is I thinking Christmas Day and they are here, with out family. 

These are the two women that are part of the Home Owners Association. Well they provided the Ham and Turkey. We prayed and everyone table had their own table of food everyone brought something. 

The young lady on the left is our table leader. Her name is Kathy and her friend is Jim set our table up. They had nice plates and silverware and just very pretty Christmas items. They gave us all a bag of treats too. 

I can tell you this, I walked away very uncomfortable. I ATE TOO MUCH Squash. I had two helpings. But the food was great. Afterwards I took a long bicycle ride around the park twice. It really did help me with the over full feeling. 

Now this morning back to the stretching classes. 

Merry Christmas to all.

Yesterday was a fun day for me. It started out with breakfast with Jon Bunch. We meant at Dave's Dinner on Hutchinson Island. Hey, we just hung out and had some good old fashion eggs and bacon. As sitting there, Jon was telling me what his plans were for the next couple of days. 

Well earlier he asked me if I would like to ride down south with him to help out with the parking ministry? I thought about it and said sure. I didn't have any plans for the day any way. Plus I really do miss many people at Calvary as my friends. 

As riding down it really was a nice trip. 

This picture above is me driving one of the golf carts around and picking up folks and bring them from the parking lot to the front doors of Calvary. It really brought back many memories and good times, as I was the over seer of this ministry for a few years. 

Hey these three guys are Jon Bunch, Brain and Robert. The core crew that get the cones set up and makes it happen. 

These pictures are just us hanging out and getting ready for the big rush. That really didn't happen. The crowds were very much easy to handle. We never did take the cars to the West Grass lot. So there was plenty of room in the Sanctuary. 

I believe this service at 6 pm. was the big one. Like as I  said before, it all went well and Jon is very blessed to have a good crew. Pretty much, the church staff was ready for a bigger crowd. But as the people came in and left, all was good. 

I even asked Eric,the guy over seeing the security of our staff and church. How did it go with them. He told me that it was a quiet evening and all went well.

Okay what kind of deals can you get around this area?

Really not to bad on the prices. I did stop by a hotel on US 1 yesterday. 

That is correct in what you are seeing? $36.00 a room. Well like I said I stopped by and wanted to see what the rooms look like. The young lady at the desk, asked me when did I need the room? I told next Wednesday night. She said sorry by they are booked until after New Years. 

Well why am I looking at hotels? My cousins are coming to town and they told me that they wanted to get a room. So being retire I have time to go shopping. 

So as for now, I sure looking forward in seeing them and just hanging out. 

Okay this last week I have been doing some driving around.

This is on Monday the day before Tim came to town. I did a oil change and filter. So I logged in the millage when that happen. 

After Tim got here and we did this and that and even more of this. We ended up driving many miles. 

This was right after I got back from dropping him off at the air port in Fort Lauderdale. So folks I got back home and just relaxed an guess how miles we drove? 1161 total miles. Man to me that was a joy to be able to have some time with Tim and just hang out and go different places each day. You know how it is living in the Bahamas. You can pretty much buy what ever you need there, but to get what you want cost much So as Tim was shopping around, he pretty much bought what ever he wanted. At the end he flew out and was very happy to be able to get stuff. 

The funny thing is on the next day Wednesday. I drove Roy and his wife Pat to Orlando. They flew out of there to go to Massachusetts. 

I got to drive their car thou. 

Have you never heard the expression, Penny Wise and Dollar Foolish?

Since I have moved up north, here, I have been looking at changing phone services. Nothing against, my friend in Fort Lauderdale. I have been part of his family plan for many years. Really how can I go wrong with $15.00 a month for everything. 

But like I said I just wanted to be a big boy and get my own service. 

Okay shopping here and there. Now I went to Walmart and bought the $29.99 phone, Thinking how bad can it be? Well if you know me at all , I love taking pictures pretty much everyday. So looking at the pictures this phone was taking. Not to good. Okay I went on line and bought a up grade. Now $79.99.  

The camera and phone worked good. But now the services. I first got it and cost $19.99 thinking triple the service. Well after a week and half. I needed more minutes on my texting. Okay another $19.99. Now I have spent $38.98 for not even a month service. I am down to 33 texts and no more data. I do have 223 minutes left for calls. 

Okay now what do I do? I talked with my neighbors and they both have Metro PC. I went online to see what they offer. 

Hey it is a Samsung phone. How can I go wrong? I drive over to the Metro dealer around the corner. I walk in and talk with a young lady there. I asked about the service. $30.00 period . Okay that sounds pretty good!!. Now what about the my phone. She told me I could use my old phone OR they will GIVE ME ONE!!!! Okay which one is FREE? The one in the picture above, I was willing to buy it. IT"S FREE. 

Now the case and protector skin was $60.00 for both. I was thinking of spending that much on the phone itself. WOW WEEEEE. 

Now I have a better phone and unlimited texting calling and 1gig of data too. I believe I will be very happy with this choice. 

So sometimes I am penny wise and dollar foolish. 

Had a chance yesterday to take another ride.

This day we drove to the Palm Beach Garden's Mall. Here Mr Tim had a chance to get his I phone repaired. So as we walk in you can see the place is pretty much empty. 

But not Apple Store. I don't think I have ever been around one and never see the place have many people in there. Well is all worked out great, 

I just love looking around at different displays and Christmas stuff. I saw two sets of families that their children were wearing their PJ's They came there to get Christmas pictures done in front of the big sled that was on display. 

Overall we finished here and drove to Home Depot then a couple of other places. 

Got home and relaxed and just hung out until it turned night. Then I will share with you tomorrow, about the beautiful light show down town Fort Pierce. 

This was my Saturday in Winter Haven

This is at my cousin's home Bonita. These are her two cats. Over all she has had them for many years. As I was staying there, I when up to Walmart. 

This was the sun rise that morning. I just love looking up and seeing that beautiful sky line each day. 

As I was walking around, in Walmart. GUESS WHO I RAN INTO????? That is correct, Santa and one of his helpers. 

Before the day started out, I got a couple of What ups from from my friends (Monty and Sam) in the Bahamas. Monty sent this one. I wrote back asking how our NEW PRESIDENT TRUMP, knew it my birthday? 

I am very blessed and cherish these mounts. Thank you everyone for the wishes and cards.

As our time is winding down with Tim being here, we will venture out and do a little more shopping today and relax tonight and he flies out tomorrow. 

While I was waiting on Tim to fly in, I stopped by here.

This place is called Jayson's. They have been around this area for many years. I remember coming here back in the 90's. Their ice cream is soooo, good. 

There is one draw back, the prices. But the trip is wroth it. On Tuesday I just walked around and looking back in time. 

Well folks it is Sunday morning and I am ready to drive back home this morning. It really is neat to be able to send some time with family, but to go back home is wonderful too. 

As yesterday was my 65 birthday. I still feel about the same, but time keeps moving forward. 

Hey it is ONLY ONE WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!!!!!
