Just lookup and see the sun rise.

Folks do you ever look up and watch a sun rise? Well I know I don't do it enough.

Well Roy and I are step builders.

Hey we were to go to Roy's brother's home to do some work there, but Fred called and said he had something else to do. So Roy and I went to Lowe's and bought the lumber and all fixings. 

A neighbor that lives around the corner of Janice's stopped by to see what we were doing? 

He told us he like our work. 

The lumber we got at Lowe's we so wet. But it looks great and after a month or so will stain them. Over all Janice was tickled pink how fast we got them done. 

I am very blessed to have a neighbor, like Roy to be able to work together and even enjoy his wisdom and have some laughs too. 

At the end of the day, we both say job, well do!!!

Praise our Lord for the opportunity to be able to help a friend out and make a buck or so. 

Checking out different things that are happening around my area.

This is at Richie's house, Billy and him are putting down the new flooring. It should really look good afterwards. The only problem was they didn't have the correct tools to do the job. They were fighting it. After about hour or so, they went out and bought the right tool and it went so much better. 

They are pulling out another Mobile home. You can see it is on a small lake. The owners of the park, Wynn, they when someone is moving out , they pull the home out and will build a CBS home. 

These steps belong to a friend of mine. Her name it Janice. So she asked for us take out the old ones and put in some new ones. 

So today we will build her steps and see how they come out? 

I'm so blessed to be able to do this kind of work and even make a buck or two. Roy and I will go to Home Depot and maybe Lowes for all what we need and get this job done. 

It has been a little while since my last bike ride.

It really is beautiful and right around the corner from my place. Little more than 10 mile ride. But still beautiful. 

Not sure why, but there is a art and crafts show going on down here? It is Wednesday morning. I guess there is still some Snowbirds in town? 

That is correct, there is a Bahamian stand there too. She is selling all kinds of good stuff. 

Hey look at the price on Conch Salad? $10.00. I think the last time I was over there that was the selling price down at the Arawak Cay. I didn't see how large the salad was. But I did get a chance to talk with here a little bit. She came over here when she was very young. But she has been back there many times. She even knew about the Adventure Learning Centre. 

You can see I was a early before the lunch crowd. But it was still was a beautiful day. 

I stopped at Publix's and got a sub and just enjoyed the ride. 

It is so nice to be part of a men's Bible study again.

This is Doug and Jon. Doug was showing us his new bike. That correct a NEW one 2017 Harley Davidson. 

I am sorry but I have been out of the loop for many years on bikes. So all I know, this is a Road Glider. 107 engine. It really looks like a big machine and heavy too. But Doug has been wanting a new one for a while now. 

These are only a couple of the guys that go to this Bible study on Monday night.Lee  on my left, Josh Martinez and Pat. Like I said I only took one picture during the study. There are guys on my left and right. I have not been going since I have been working at Winn-Dixie. the reason is Monday night I was working. Now my schedule has gotten a little easier. 

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights 3 pm to 10 pm. 

It was good to see these guys and get some what caught up on all that has been happening.

Starting May 8th we will be part of the Men's classes that will be happening at Calvary PSL. So that should be a little change too in our time. Hey this way I can start getting to know some of the others that go to Calvary.

I am so blessed to be able to have a friend like Jon Bunch. When he is in town, we always go to the Men's study. That is how I got hooked up with them in the beginning. 

Okay I have hurricane wooden shutters?

What can I do with these wooden shutters? Well thinking, maybe???? I can put them on the inside of the clam shutters? Why NOT??

So yesterday I worked on them. They are now ready for a big hurricane!!!!!

Folks I know the clam shell ones are to protect the house. But I have these other ones too. 

It seams like it is a good fit. 

Praise HIM in all you do and He will keep you save. 

Prayerfully this year I will not have to put them up. 

But maybe if I go to the ALC for a week or so, I will make sure everything is secure. 

Hey it sure is beautiful outside, Please take the time to just enjoy today, you never know what tomorrow will bring? 

Had a little family gathering.

We are all at Roy and Pat's home for cake and coffee. 

This is Adam (Roy and Pat's son) and his girl friend Melissa. These two came to town to spend a little time away from New Jersey. 

It is Pat's birthday today so we all got together to wish her Happy Birthday last night, with cake and coffee.  Plus to spend some time with Adam and his friend. As we sat around the table it was a nice time. We found out somethings things about Melissa and in general family get together. 

I am so blessed to have neighbors that have taken me in as family and just neat to spend time together. 

My Lord knows how I love to spend time and be part of a family. 

I am bring the Bahamas to Fort Pierce.

Well yesterday was my quest to finish up painting. With the help of Roy it happened. Roy used the roller where he could and I filled in with the brush. Over all I really think it looks great. 

It was funny how I thinking  maybe I made a mistake on the color? But afterwards I just love it. The reason I say that about maybe a mistake. There was no one that walked by and said, WOW that looks great!. It made me think this is a bad idea? 

But as I look on now and say WOW I LOVE IT. 

Thank you Lord for let me try something and look on and say I LOVE IT. 

Okay what is next to do??????

Okay the trim has been started.

Well as Roy and I paint my place. People that walk by really don't say anything. Oh well I guess they don't like the color? 

I like it and my neighbors around me say they like it. 

It is different and it reminds me of my old home back in the Bahamas. 

I didn't finish painting it yet. I had to go to work yesterday afternoon. prayerfully today it will be finished and the awnings will be up too. 

Praise Him and thank Him each and every day. 

How can you go wrong????

Okay folks I have some things to paint. I tried using a roller and brush. It took me about 30 minutes to paint inside one of the awnings. Thinking, maybe maybe need a paint sprayer? 

I went to Home Depot looking for a Wagner sprayer. I remember buying one back in the 80's. It cost me $49.99 +. Hey this is what need. 

Okay there are 38 to pick from. I thinking I really don't want to spend that much money. I was going to buy the $79.99 one. that is the one we had back at Adventure Learning Centre. It worked great at the time. No there has to be some thing else? 

I was telling Roy about, what a pain it was to roller and brush. Thinking about the Wagner. He asked me if harbor Freight sells paint sprayers? I went on line and here you go. Now the reviews on this were bad 63% of the reviews were, saying no good, don't waste your money on it. 

Well folks guess what i did? 

Okay $17.99 plus I got 20% off with my coupon. I even got another tape measure. 

Hey $15 plus change. What have I to loose? 

Hey I remember the Wagner, The only problem I had was the paint dried in the unit and it was hard to clean. 

Let us give it a try. I started to spray and it worked great. 

Like I said, you need to keep it form drying and keep it clean out. It worked on the awnings. Now what can I paint? 

Okay the trim on the house. First the shutters. I took them down and let us se what happens? 

Had to buy some paint. I have been debating on what color? I was thinking gray. But Roy was saying that is boring. So thinking green. 

What do you think? I like is it. Today I will finish the trim and show you the finished job. Prayerfully the rain will stay away.
