I am not into weeding gardens. But if someone ask, why not?

On Friday I had a great plan work on a young lady's roof. First of all I got a call the night before telling me the roofing material to do the job are in and ready to pick up. . 

Well I got to the store to get the materials. He needed to leave for a doctor's appointment. So now what do we do? 

The day was going by pretty fast. It is lunch time. We both had lunch and then. Looking at the weather. Not a good day. It did rain a little bit. 

Well I talked it over with Roy and we decided that it might not be a good day ton do any roofing. 

So I went over to Carol's home. I worked there for 4 hours weeding her flower beds. 

Thinking it still has not really rain yet. I had another weeding job to do. The guy actually paid me already to do it. he is out of town for couple of months. Thinking let me get that job done too. 

I started out and this was a bigger job than I thought. The weeds are everywhere. So I just kept on puling. Then the rain came. 

I sat in the truck asking the Lord please stop the rain so I can finish it up. Well it even rained harder. I got out my umbrella and kept on pulling more weeds. 

I go this bed done. I used two trash bags just for this in little area. 

I did start this side and the rain would not let up. Plus I was very tried and wet now. Prayerfully today I can finish this and take it off of the list of work projects I have. 

Folks some days I just get so overwhelmed by the work I need to do. 

I am asking for prayers to help deal with it and just not worry about when I can do it. 

Just do one job at a time and praise God for the work. 

One of our customers Miss Wells.

After the hurricane I got a call form Miss Wells. I guess the wind blew over one of the post. 

So  on Tuesday Roy and I went over to do a little repair work. 

Had to dig out the old post, it broke off right at the ground line. So we needed to get to old one out and the guy before us, really buried it deep. Over 3 feet deep. There was a cable there too. So digging was very carefully done. 

But at the end it all came out looking pretty good, I think? 

As she told us she thought it looked good to her. That is all that counts. 

Praise our Lord for the opportunity to help her out and make a buck or two

Okay repairs on my place.

Okay this is a picture before the hurricane came and did some damage. I think this is Friday afternoon. 

Okay not to bad. The damage is repairable. I even think we can do it? 

This is the part I was most concern. You can see the header bar, (my words) It is pretty heavy medal and not sure if it will go back into place? 

Well I first took off the old pieces and threw them out in front of my home. The next morning they were gone. They are made out of aluminum. So someone might get a buck or two. 

You can see I did put straps on the carport. But I guess I needed one more for the corner? 

This was opened up and not sure how? But that is now looking good too. 

I sure am blessed to have a friend, like Roy to help do different projects. Plus it is free labor. 

Hey this went up a lot easier than I thought it would. The header I was talking about before, Well I tried to hammer it in. Than didn't do anything, except making a lot of noise. 

I got out some lag bolts. 2 1/2" and 3" ones. 

I believe this was from the Lord. This is what I used and it worked great. It is flatten out now and the medal is ready for the roof. 

Then Roy and I fixed up the shirking under my house. It is ready and I think looking pretty good too. 

Bring Glory to HIM and ONLY HIM.

On Sunday after church. Rodeo time. (for children)

This is the reason we came out. This is Janice's grand daughter (Jazmine). She has been riding and taking care of this horse ( Son of Something) Sorry. I think she told since she was three or four years old.  But I was talking with Janice and Jazmine's trainer (Granny) That is how I got the name, (I tried remember) What stuck out was the owner of the horse changed the name from Sun to Son, after they became Christians. 

That is what I remember. 

This is the only guy on the riding team. He is Johnny. He is part of the set up and break down team too. Plus he cleans up the corral, by driving and Ford tractor around and raking the dirt so it is smooth. But he get to run in the races too. If you look back in my blog. I think wrote about him when we went to the banquet for the horse riding teams. The team gave him a brand saddle plus other things. 

I give him credit for even trying to ride. 

When we got there they already started with the barrel runs. Jazmine did her time before we got there. 

This is Jazmine's mom Jennifer, Janice (grand ma) and Stephanie Janice's other daughter. We sat under this tent during the races and just enjoy the cool breeze every once and while. 

It is so cute to see how young these girls are starting out. 

This really was cute too. Her dad is puling the horse thru the course and you can hear the crown pushing him even more.

But it was a nice sunny day and I enjoyed the company. 

I am very blessed to have friend like Janice. She let me be part of the family things. Which I miss out with my own family. 

Life is good and we need to just thank our Lord each day to be able to live life to the fullness. 

PRAISE HIM, I got my results back from the doctor. I had a MRI done last week.

These are the results. I am sorry but I really don't understand all these words and what they are trying to say. My doctor just told me that I am getting older and I have arthritis. 

So what am I dealing with? While I sleep on my side each night I wake up in mayor pain. It pretty much is in my stomach area. 

My doctor recommend to get a firmer mattress. So my mattress is a pillow top. I tried to put a piece of plywood under it. It really didn't help out at all. So I just flipped the mattress over and slept on the box springs. I slept much better and really didn't have the troubles I have had in the passed. 

PRAISE HIM. I still wake up and need to walk around for about a half hour or so. That is when I take  walk around my block where I live. 

Okay this is Saturday morning. I stopped by to see Jon. he lives on Hutchinson Island. We sat and talked for a while and I needed to get going, it looks like rain is coming in. 

I am thinking, I am so close to the Jetty , why not rid down there and then go home? 

You can see the sand got washed out pretty bad in the middle of the beach there. 

It is such a joy to ride my bicycle and get to breath in the salt air and just enjoy the view.

                       I am so blessed to be so close to the ocean and to be able to ride my bike.

Please praise Him today and show your kindness to others. 

I look on the TV news and see such hatred and all that is going on in the world. 

Please say kind words to our brothers and sisters. 

We are all on the earth and we need to get along better with others. 

Praise HIM. 

Okay having some fun. Friday is here. Praise Him

This place is called Riverside Theatre. I guess every Friday and Saturday night they have a local band come in and do a evening of singing and playing for the locals, here in Vero Beach. 

Well just before we got here, we went out to dinner at Bonefish Grill. It was a rich experience. The reason I say that was. The food was very rich and heavy. We both could not finish our meals. So now we both have something to eat on the week-end. 

There was a small crowd this evening. I have been there before, I guess after the Snowbirds got back into town? 

We drove down to Vero Beach and checked out the board walk there. It did get some damage but I think it is only the sand got washed away this time. During Hurricane Mathew it's structure was damaged. 

We got caught in a little rain. But it was all in fun. 

Take a look at the sunset. This camera doesn't do any justice. It was beautiful. Just like my day. During this day, Roy and I went around talking with folks that want me to repair their roofs. I pretty much told them I was not able to do that at this time. The reason is I got a MRI on Thursday evening and I really think I have more problems with my back than I want to admit. 

Today I will hear the news and I ask for a prayer or two.

Praise HIM in all we do, Praise Him.
