Yes Roy and I have another job to do, Praise the Lord.

This is Justine's and Bob's home. They want us to put out the vanity, light, med cabinet and toilet. Which we did on Tuesday. 

Not sure who put the new light up before. But they really did a poor job doing it. Plus cut the wire too. 

It really is surprising how much stuff weights? 

That is correct, the stuff we put in the back of my truck weights 200 #. They only charged me $3.00. But really. 

Now I know the light was up where the old one was. But we took down the frame that went around the light. So we need to make it look good. 

Maybe when Bob or someone else put the new light up hit the wire with a screw. Then reset the breaker. It had to be tripped. But we repaired the wire and all is good now. 

We got the new light up med cabinet. 

The cabinet over the toilet. Hey this was a great day. Prayerfully this job is going to be a easy one???? We were very happy to get all this done in one day. 

Monday was a day for tennis,plus.

Today is the Chinese Tennis Tournament. What is going on is Mitch set up different teams Men against men and same with the women. Then we each play for 45 minutes.  We do keep score, but nothing it kept on record. So it is a time to enjoy watching and playing too. 

I had a chance to play. My partner was Francois and Earl and his partner (forgot name) He was from Quebec too. But we played and the final score was 6 to 3. We had the 3. It is okay. It was for fun anyway. 

Now after playing we had a luncheon Chinese food. Here is where the trophies were given out to the first to third place players for the ten (10) week Tournament.

The trophies were really nice and heavy and made out of glass. 

Well done my follow players. 

I am going up right now to play what they call Round Robin. Here is get to play every four games. I am so blessed to be able to play and have some fun to. 

Remember what today it GOOD FRIDAY. It is only good for us. That is why He came to this earth is to die on a cross for OUR SINS, PRAISE HIM TODAY. 

I am going to talk a little about the Men's week-end.

Okay I tried not to take any pictures of people. The reason is VDC. Is more about community. That is folks working together to make these week-ends happen. So on Saturday morning we started making the sauce for the lasagna. I cooked up the sausage and ground beef. Using three frying pans. It all worked out great. Then we started with mixing all the neat stuff together. Then every five minutes someone had to stir the pots. At the end the sauce tasted great. 

Needed 16 boxes of noodles. 

Now is the fun part making the  lasagna. These are some of the community, putting it together. I was the sauce guy. I put the sauce on each level. 

We made up 12 pans and even had two pans left to give away at the end of the week-end. 

Now I was given a job to make whip cream for the strawberry short cake. All that was put in here was half an half and some confection sugar. Then using the electric beater. It did take a while. 

At the end it tasted soooooo GOOD. 

The strawberries and cakes were delicious. I think we gave these out for desert (lunch time) 

Okay we are into Sunday morning. We had four pans going with eggs. These frying pans really hold a lot and the eggs didn't burn at all. 

So now the week-end is winding down. I can tell you this. As I started on Wednesday and Thursday getting the kitchen set up and shopping (with Greg) That night was a rough one for me. Not much sleep. But I guess I didn't need it? Oh we sleep on cots and they really are not that comfortable. 

BUT as Sunday is here, the week-end is almost done. It was by the Holy Spirit I made it thru. Plus a lot of coffee and lemon aid with ice tea mixed in. 

Folks I have not been on a full week-end for over 10 -11 years. So I say sure no problem. Love to make it happen. Well the old body is not use to standing for the whole day. 6 am to 9 pm. It took a toll on my legs. I did have some ibuprofen and I made it thru to the end. 

So as we wind down, I had a few ladies in the kitchen with me helping take our stuff out to the dinning hall. Have to take inventory and put everything back into the correct boxes and put back into the trailer. I think the kitchen is looking better than we we got there. But that is why these different churches let us use them facilities. If they wouldn't we would not be able to make these week-ends happen. All I can say is PRAISE THE LORD FOR THE HELPERS. Then at the end of Sunday you hear story after stories about how God changed these guy or talked to his guy. It is all about WHAT HE IS DOING IN OUR LIVES. 

Not about how good the food tasted or what the talks were about. No THIS IS HIS (LORDS) WEEK-END. 

I got back home on Sunday night around 6 pm and just chilled and went to bed and slept GREAT. PRAISE HIM. Remember this Friday is GOOD FRIDAY. Because of what He Did For US. 

I have been gone for a while.

Yes I have been helping out on a men's retreat this last week-end. So I am very much behind in my blog. I just have a cute story I just read yesterday. 

A Thought.

The reason Mayberry was so peaceful and quiet was because no body was married. Andy, Aunt Bea, Barry, Floyd, Howard,Goober, Gomer, Sam Earnest T Bass, Helen, Thelma, Lou, Clara, and of course Opie were all single. The only one married person was Otis and he stayed drunk most of the time. 

This is a stroy we are putting in our new letter next month here at Spanish Lakes Country Club.

Had a chance to go to a Passion Play on Monday night.

Hey you can see it was very well done. For 2 plus hours it was worth the time and I would go again. THe Lord was honored and His name rings forth. 

Hey Easter is right around the corner and I pray that each and everyone of us get a chance to reflex on WHAT is it all about and WHY He came to save us. 

Praise HIM today and please get back in touch with HIM. 

Please say a prayer or two for this week-end. I am part of a Men's Retreat.(VDC). It starts tonight and goes thru to Sunday afternoon. 

I will be helping out in the kitchen (asst cook) So like I said, PRAYER IS NEEDED.
