It is time to wash the house down. Mildew, think?.

I was talking with Roy and he was telling me that I do some mildew on the north side of my house. So I walked around an checked it out. I do, so let us get the cleaner out that I have been using on other homes. It really started here, before I did others, last year. Roy bought it and told me how great it is.

I was thinking there was mildew here??? But as I washed it down it didn't go away. So I hit it again. It got worse.

Do you know why it got worse? WELL the paint is coming off. That is correct. Afterwards Roy and I were talking about the house. Well before I came to buy this place. There was a young lady and a child living here. Roy doesn't know why or even who it was. But she left and I guess gave the trailer back to the park. So they cleaned it up an painted the outside and what ever else was needed. They sold it to Richard (he passed away and I bought it form his daughter. So now I understand why the paint is coming off.
Oh well I guess I know what my next big project is? For me.

On Friday morning I left for Winter Haven.

As I was driving along. I had something else on my mind and I started on 95 north. Not thinking. I am driving and say WHY am I on 95??? So I had to wait to get off in Sebastian. I turned around. Heading south now.

I think I went 28 miles out of my way??? Oh well.

It really is a boring ride sometimes. So I saw how this farmer waters his corn. It really is a neat set up. As I drove by I could see that he has a pump in the canal and waters his crops.

I always like seeing this sign. That means I am almost there.

As driving by this, I swear I could smell orange pound cake? But looking around the planet is not up and running. Oh well I can dream. I really enjoy the smell of orange pound cake. As I use to live up this way. Lakeland. I use to drive by a orange planet and the smell is great.

Now I spent the night. McDonald's is my breakfast place.

How can you go wrong. Large Ice Coffee and McGrill bacon sandwich. Plus my old faithful Bible.
Got back to Bonita's house and we left for Tampa (Largo) to go see her brother and other cousins .

Got there and hung out all day long and really enjoyed spending time with them. This is Bonita (left) Debbie, Jon her hubby and Greg, Bonita's brother. We watch a movie and then the Ray's baseball game They won 12 to 6. Then had a wonderful dinner.
Bonita and I left there around 9pm. Got back close to her home. Stopped at Walmart and did some shopping and I crashed around 11;30pm. Long day and today will be a short one. I am having another breakfast at McDonald's and doing my blog and then e mails. I will help Bonita clean up around her house, (leaves) then do a couple of other things and will be leaving for my home around 2pm.
So all is going well and just looking forward in getting back into my bed.
So I hope and pray you all have a wonderful day at church an I will see what happens this next week?

Another beautiful day to drive down to the Jetty

I wrote about them refilling the beach a couple of weeks ago. Well they have started. Just leveling the sand out and then pump the new sand in after they get the pipe all hooked up and tun the pumps on.

I guess this is the way they got the equipment to the shore line.

For a week day this place is dead. I know now the Snowbirds are pretty much gone now. Praise the Lord.

I know last year, I guess at this time I wrote about them pumping sand from the Indian River (Inter Coastal)
Oh I now after all the Supper Moons and higher tides the sand gets washed out to the ocean.
I am in Winter Haven now . Will be taking my cuz, Bonita and I to Tampa area today. Largo.
There I hope to spend the day with other family member and just enjoy seeing them again. I hope to share pictures of this trip tomorrow or the next couple of days.

Look at what I bought for our HOA meetings. It is their money.

During our last meeting for the HOA. Steve (president) asked me to look into buying a projector. I did some research and found out about what we needed for the screen we have and the lighting. I found a couple on Amazon. Then talking with Debbie (vice president) she is thinking maybe we need buy local. This way if there are any problems they might be able to help us? I thought that too, but thinking save money. So Roy and I went to Staples and talked with a guy, named Rick. Really nice guy and he seemed to know what he was talking about. So he talked me into this one and saved us a couple of bucks too. Plus I got the three year warranty. So at the end we spent about the same amount. $866.68. I got back to the auditorium. I set it up and it works great.
I took a picture and sent it to all board members and they loved it.

Well our HOA meeting was on Wednesday and I got there and set it al up and it will be the cats meow.

Even the members liked it and the show went on.

This was a picture before the meeting started. There was 138 folks there. We voted on the new sign for the front, when you drive in. (yes) 86 for/53 against. The pool lift was voted (no) Then there is the smoking area vote. All we as a board, plus asking for no smoking around the entrances of the club house and other building attached. That was voted (yes)131 for and 8 against.  But now all these items that were voted yes. I need to check out more on the sign, that is my baby. The smoking thing is Steve and Debbie thing to look into more. So I believe this was a great meeting and I am so happy we got this projector. Now maybe down the road we can use it for Super Bowl Sunday, here in the auditorium. Would it be neat to do?
Maybe have movie night night too?
Well today I am driving over to see family. Going to Winter Haven first and spending the night. Then Saturday morning,  driving to Largo, Tampa area. So if you think of me say a prayer or two.
I am really looking forward in seeing them and just getting some what caught up on our lives.

Well trimming bushes, JUST HAVING SOME FUN. NOT!!!

This is before.

A couple of days ago. I was telling you about this cleaner and how great it works. here are the chairs we cleaned up

Now if anyone out there ever trimmed a Bougainvillea. Folks this bush has vines and THORNS EVERY WHERE. Hey I didn't take any pictures of the holes that Roy and I have on our legs and arms. But as we kept on cutting we were winning the battle.

There were two truck loads to get rite of. Loading them up too was a lot of fun, NOT!

At the end we WON. This bush will come back and have pretty flowers and more bushy too. This is Pat back yard and she is on the golf course. So now ad least she can see a little more of if.

Plus trimmed the bushes on the side of the house too. This way today Roy and I can pull the clam shells down and paint them.
Prayerfully I really hope she will like the white paint. We can always add a strip or something to make it pop.
Over all looking forward in seeing it myself.

Yes this is another job for Pat's house.

After we cleaned up her house. She asked about painting it. Roy and I are not that excited about painting a whole house. So we asked her how about trying the clam shells first to see what it looks like?

So at the end of the day, we got this side done. I thought it make a difference.

This is Roy and Pat out front of her place. She likes the clam shells , but she still thinking about painting the whole house.
Today we will finish painting the clam shells in front and see what she thinks.
Over all if we painted her place it would take about four days, that is everything painted.
But the cost is really on the high side, I told her the price and she will get back with us today, after we do the front.
Roy and I have been asked a couple of times to paint peoples houses. Roy pretty much said no. So we will see what happens here?

I know I talk a lot about working.

Okay enough on working. This last Sunday afternoon. I came home from church and sat down and started watching the PGA tournament going on in Texas. As I sat there, thinking I need to get out and play. So I got my three clubs and got on the bike and rode over and played the best game I have ever shot.  Here I was pin high. I think I did that three times.

This was my second shot on hole #4.

Look how I missed this shot. I got a 4 here.

As this is the last hole. the wind was in my face and I hit it as hard has I could. Using a 7 iron. I hit to the left side and between the water and the hole. Over all I just had a great day.

It was a beautiful day and I really enjoyed it. Now I need to start playing with others. The score above was my last time out. Not sure when that was, maybe 4 weeks ago, or so?

Then on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays I play what they call Round Robin. This way everyone gets to play and get a a break too, between the games. I have not been keeping track on how this is going. But I believe I have improved here too.
Folks this is great exercise and even having a lot of fun doing it too. Plus maybe next season I can place better than 28 in the tennis tournament.
Hey if you are just sitting on your butt wondering why am I feeling blue, or just don't have any strength. I believe it is what you are not doing?
Hey I am 66 years old and life is good, as long as you get out of life is what you put into it.
You have to PUT INTO IT.
Hey my knees hurt each day and my right leg too. But when I ride the bike and play some tennis. That all goes away.

That is correct we are now washing Pat's house down.

I didn't take any after pictures, but today I will. The house came out looking great. Now today we are trimming her bushes and painting her clam shell awnings. You can see the paint is pretty much worn off.

This is the cleaner we use to wash down houses and walk away in 2 hours done. Roy found this at Home Depot last year. He used it on his house and he thought this really cleaned up the mildew and mold on the outside of his house. I even went out and bought some and used it on m house.

All we do is spray it on and Roy brushes a little in the bad areas. Then rinse it off with water.
The spray bottle has four adjustments. It really works great. The real neat thing is the cost. One gallon is $6.98. The spraying bottle is $8.97. It take two gallons to do the whole house. Like I said in 2 hours you are done.
I will talk about this again next week. I need to wash my house down again. Mildew grows fast around here. Most of the time it is on the north side.
Hey it is worth trying it out.
I have a pressure washer, I have not brought it out since I have been using this stuff.

I had a opportunity to help out my cousin.

It has been a while since I have trimmed and cleaned out her gutters too.  Oh, the reason I am here now is because Jeanne and her sisters pl...
