Okay life is good. REAL GOOD.

This boat belongs to a old friend of mine. Her name is Jeanne. I have known her since 1999 or so. Her hubby and her are part of VDC. Well sad part is her hubby passed away four years ago. Really a nice guy but had some health issues. So I have been seeing her come out to the church I am part of here in Fort Pierce area.

Well she invited me out to go fishing with her. So we stopped by and got some bait. Plus I asked about a fishing license. I don't need one. I am old now and after 65 no need to get one.

We got three dozen shrimp.

Got some ice (100 pounds)and now we are ready to get some fish.

She has this down to science. She back the truck and dropped the boat off and we were in the water ready to get out and caught some fish.
Mean while she asked me to drive the ship. Wow that was so much fun. I have never operated a boat this large before. She has a 25' Plus 250 horse power motor on here.
She saw a bunch of pelicans flying and driving in this one area. So she though maybe some free bait here.

The birds kept flying around and not settling down in one area. So didn't even throw the net.

See I really was driving it. WOW what a thrill.

Plus she wanted to get the poles set up so when we get out there, 13 miles. We can fish right off the bat. You see the purple line, that is how we are going to find this reef that is 80+ feet down. You can see here we have another 8 mile plus to get out there.
She did have a couple of poles in the water as we trolled.
Now while going along, she saw a jet ski coming up from behind. Why would any one come out this far on a jet ski?
We keep going 7 Nautical Miles along. He was asking us about catching any fish out here? Strand. Why would any one come out five on a jet ski?? Meanwhile we just kept driving. He drove off and no problems. But is was weird.

While we got out here to the reef. We saw this orange balloon in the water. Wow that was even weirder. We picked it up and started fishing. I got the first one. not sure what it was. But we kept it. It was fun to catch.  Then she got one. Mean while I started not feeling to good. You know, the stomach is not right. I didn't get fully sick. But not feeling good at all.
I caught one more fish and she said reel in and we better get going.

I sat on the ice box and just watched, while she drove back in.

As coming into port I asked for a selfie. She took about four or even five to get this one.

Mean while I started feeling much better. Not sure I guess I got sea sick? Back the truck up and loaded the boat on.

After getting the in the parking lot. Stopped an clean up a little. I saw this cat fish on a line. Okay what is going on here????

We must of picked up some ones line on and way in. The cat fish was a live and kicking pretty good. I picked him up and while taking the hook out. He stuck me. But he is back into the water an now we need to get the fishing line off the prop. It got on the inside under the prop. Got back to her home and took it apart and got all the string off.

Man we picked a bunch of line. But after getting it cleaned up. She called her mechanic and he told it all should be okay now. Went home and got a shower and feeling much better now.
I the next day I drove over to West Marine and got some new cotter pins and just asked about if the prop is okay?
The guy told me all is well. Great news and got back to her house and put the prop on and ran great.
Mean, I had things going on that day (Sunday). So she went out and catch a couple of King Fish.

Folks today is NEW YEARS DAY. I really pray and hope that this year is better than last year for some and look forward in seeing what He has planned out next in my own life.
Praise and thank HIM TODAY for family and friends.
HAPPY NEW YEARS.

It really neat to watch our new school being built right here on the same property that the old school is standing.

This was the first part of putting up the walls (Oct. 29th) at our NEW WESTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL. Our Principal, Mr. Alfonso tells us that all of...
