Busy week-end Saturday and Sunday, so FAR.

I am so far behind on blogging. So I will try to do better. This was our Memorial Week-end. 

Started out at a camp grounds in Fort Pierce. This is Ken and Maricel  and their family. Ken bought this R.V. about three months ago. They have been traveling around since. Ken and his wife both work at Westwood High School. That is how we know them. My baby is the culinary teacher there, so she has many friends, there. So as Ken and his family wanted to go camping this week-end, they found this place called Roadrunner next to the St Lucie Airport. So for us it is just around the corner. So Friday evening we stopped by and had a nice dinner and just hung out. 

This is their R.V. Not in bad shape at all. 1996. Only has 79000.miles on it. It is roomy and very nice. They have asked us to maybe go on vacation with them one of these days. I really think it would be some fun an just nice to hang out. 

As the evening was here, we walked over to another teacher's camp site. This is The Bailey Family. Lisa is here sitting with us. They have been camping for many years. I think she said since their they had children. Like 20 years or more. Has we sat around talking and finding out what everyone is doing this summer, It was really neat. 

Okay as the night was here, Jeanne and I left and said our good byes. 

I knew we had to get up early and go to church. So folks Jeanne and I have been talking about, MAYBE DOWN the road buying a R.V? Maybe. 

This is The Crossing Church, Pastor Craig is back and he was ready to do some good teaching yesterday. It was on STFU. Which means  Shut That Face Up. He has been doing this series for a little while now. This was on Gossip.  Not sure why, but when I zoom in it comes out blurry. 

It was a good teaching, I took this picture so I could remind myself about HOW EASY IT IT IS TO GOSSIP. 

Okay afterwards Jeanne and I went over to Bo's home. There his son Brennan. He is now 18years old, PLUS he Graduated from high school, with honors. Just a small get together. Some family and friends. 

The guy in the blue shirt and black hat is Brennan. He really is a good kid and seams like he has a good head on his shoulders. We talked a little about what he might do now. Well is works at Moonswiners Bar-B-Q.  That is where his dad is the manger. He was saying he enjoy working there and we will see what is next? 

This is Tucker. He is such a wonderful dog. 

Now he has a little sister too. Her name is Naley. Maybe this is not going to be he sister? Maybe they are thinking about breeding Labs???  

Hey as the evening was coming to a end. we ate some good food and left. Said our good byes and came home and just veg'd

I am so blessed to be married to my baby, she has many friends and family and just some good people around her. Folks please remember why we have Memorial Day. It is the day we set aside to remember how blessed we are to have a nation that men and women fought for our freedom and passed away. 

Please pray for our President, he is not Trump. 

But he still running this country. It is  kind a of scary and wonderful, just knowing Our Lord is The One that put him there. So we need to pray and see what He has planned out for U.S.A.

Okay it is Mother's Day. Where shall we go?  Well Jeanne asked if we could drive north. No problem at all. We stopped at mom and pop restaurant.(Country Ham 'N Egg)  The place was pretty business. Remember it is MOTHER'S Day? Afterwards we keep on US 1 heading north

. Then we saw Rock City. Can we stop? Sure we can. This was her plan all the way. 

We have been here before, it is a beautiful landscape property. (business) 

When you first walk in, you see all of these large beautiful pots. 

Their prices are not to bad. We have looked at many pots like these before. 

Now that is a Stag Horn. I know I have grown them before. It takes many years for them to get this size. 

While walking around the nurseries. We saw this butter fly. He or she, was real and beautiful. 

This is a great place to come and get ideas about plants and landscaping ideas. We only bought a couple of small plants.  

Jeanne and I have talked about making our back yard with a stream and rocks and just make it look like nature. I think about how nice it would look. Then I think WOW a lot of work and more work keeping it beautiful, too. We talked some more about the stream. We have sprinklers thru out the yard. That would pose as a real challenge. But in the end it would look great. Maybe when we retire we can set some time aside to see what happens? 

Well afterwards we started driving back home. We stopped at another nursery, but they were closing at 3pm. So our stay there was not to long. 

I really think my baby enjoyed her day and that is what Mother's Day is all about. 

My prayer for everyone is that we can share our love with others and even more with family. 

 

Stopping by the U.P. Store (United Against Poverty) in Fort Pierce.

I have seen these in here before. Yes a SNOW SHOVEL. That is crazy. It is okay, we know some folks down here miss the snow and this is just a reminder. But not sure why they even have them??? 

Maybe, if you live near the beach, use for pushing sand?? 

Oh well, there is always something in here that everyone might need one day. 

I know myself I always walk in thinking what will they have today? 

It is just fun to see and some days I find many items, but this day I only bought a case of Tropicana Fruit Drinks. Sells in a normal grocery store (Publix) $20.00+. But as for shopping at the U.P. store they sell out dated things. Like a example, last month they expired.  So the items are not really to old that you can't buy and use? 

This expired March 31 2021

So I bought a case of juice for $6.99. That is a case 24 bottles.

As I am retired, I get Social Security. So I qualify. It really is kind a neat to go in and just look around and say, hey do we need this?/Or That?  

I have written about this place before, in my blog.   

Okay enough about shopping. 

All I know He provides and that is a beautiful thing. 

It is a neat ride to be on and all I know is He is right along side of me and my beautiful wife.

This is my good friend Eddie.

Hello I just have been trying to figure out how to tell a story of my friend Eddie. I am not sure of the date of these pictures of Eddie? I looked back on my blog and found these two. The heading of the blog is July 8th 2015.

Well Eddie has passed on January 23 2021. It is very sad news BUT good news too. I will see him again in Heaven. He real was a servant for the Lord. 

I meet Eddie back at Adventure Learning Centre. Thinking maybe 2009 or so?? Not really sure of the year. 

This picture is taken after Eddie moved back to the states. When he left ALC, Bahamas, he left a big hole there. he was our cook and helper at Calvary Bible and pretty much helping others all of the time. 

He moved to Vero Beach, Florida. I use to get back to the states and drive up here to spend some time with him. 

The funny story is, that is how, when I retired from Calvary Chapel Ft Laud, Fl. I found a place up here to retire. I just enjoy his company and how peaceful it is up here. 

This is Tim Ryan (missionary) and Eddie out in front of his home. I am not sure when this was taken? But Eddie had many friends that loved him very much. 

I have stopped by here a few times since I have not seen Eddie. I know he has been feeling not to good for the last couple of years. I have tried to talk with him, but he really didn't want to see me. I thinking he was in pretty bad shape? But I stopped by and there was no answer at the door. Like I said I have stopped before. I would leave my card and ask him to call me. But as time as gone by. Nothing happen. So I left my card in the door and left. I saw a neighbor out in front. Asked if he knew Eddie? Yes he did and told me that He passed awhile back. 

I text some of our friends back in the Bahamas to let them know. 

Thinking wow. Our time on this earth is very short and where will we end up at????

That correct folks we need to make a stand for our Lord Jesus Christ. 

The reason I say all this is, I KNOW I WILL SEE EDDIE AGAIN, IN HEAVEN. 

How about YOU? 

Do you trust in Jesus Christ AS LORD??? 

Now the neat things happens. As I left my card in his door, I got a call from the new owner, Lisa, she told me about what happen to Eddie. I thank her and thought that would be the end? 

But she said, I see you are a handy man. Yes I am, what can I do for you? 

She asked if we (Roy) and I could put in toilets? Sure can. 

So last week or so, Roy and I drove up here and put in a couple of toilets for her. 

As I walked around I see Eddie still celebrated Christmas. 

It bought back many memories. 

As Lisa and I talked about Eddie, she really never meet him, but the church she goes to, sold her his home. The reason is Eddie left it to the church and it was their choose to sell or rent it out. 

So Lisa is very blessed and she loves this place. Now she will clean is up and see what The Lord has planned for this place. 

After we got both toilets in she was very happy to hear stories about Eddie and the toilet made her day too. 

I know there are many out there will miss Eddie very much, which I do. 

But his home is being used to bring glory to our Lord. 

We all need to ask Jesus into our hearts to live and trust HIM. PLEASE ASK HIM IN. 

Very simple prayer. Jesus I ask You into my heart and live and I will trust You with very things I have a don't. You are my LORD, NOW. 

 

Jeanne and I have been watching the American Test Kitchens on T.V.

Okay let see how much brisket cost??? 

So my baby and I went shopping. Drove out to Best Meat Market. WOW, HOW MUCH???? 

So Jeanne needed to trim the fat off. 

Wow, we paid for 3pounds of FAT. 

Need a great fire, so we got out the fire chummy. 

We need to go buy a good temp gauge. 

We have a fire going well. 

We were told to keep the smoker at 300 degrees. 

Looking good. 

This is looking really good. 

This meal is being shared with our small family here, Jake and Christa. The Cornets and my baby. 

Folks this meal was tasty and DELICOUS. 

We all walked away full, but for dessert was brownies and ice cream. So we were full beyond. 

I look back and say Jeanne and I are very blessed to have friends an family to share meals like this. 

If you look around and you to are very blessed to have all too. 

I will praise Him for His mercy and His.  He gives each and everyday I have breath. 

To end the evening we started up a fire and just hung out. The Mosquitoes STAYED AWAY. 

Thank you Lord for all You do and I look forward in seeing what happens today. 

 

We are doing some work around the back yard.

My baby wanted us to bring the border out to the root line. 

Bought these rocks at Florida Falls. It is on US 1 here in Fort Pierce. This load cost us $185.00 100 sq. ft. I think that is ton weight too??? Like I said I THINK?? 

 

Then we went out and bought some rock to fill in the outside border. 

Put down a mess to (hope) to stop the weeds. 

Then put some cow manure around the trunk. 

This is the the mango tree. 

Over all I think these two trees are looking good. 

Hey folks life is good, 

Well today I will be working on the two other mango trees. Try to make them look pretty much the same. 

I  have a friends in the Bahamas that him and his wife are in need of prayer. They have been flying back and forth from Nassau to Orlando then driving to Tampa for chemo treatments. So please keep them in your prayers and let us see how Our Lord is working in all that is going on here. I know He is in the mist of all that is happening. It is hard sometimes to see what He is doing, during health problems, 

BUT HE IS RIGHT ALONG SIDE, THEM AND US.
