What the students had a chance to do on a Saturday. May 1st.

We got to West Wood High School, early Saturday morning. We got there around 6:00 am. As Jeanne has been out of work for a while now. She had shoulder surgery. So while she was gone, there was a substitute teaching. The sad part is, these teachers real just sit there and pretty much do nothing. So Jeanne is trying to keep the students focused on their classes. So she puts notes up on the white board. This way they have something to work on.

After she put up the notes. We came out an handed out donuts. These students are going to take the Serv-Safe Test. These tests are about the kitchen and what happens around that. If these children pass this test, they are certified to be able to work in any kitchen. Pretty much everyone that works in a kitchen needs this certified. So this is a great start for them to get into the work force.
Oh more one thing about this, it doesn't cost the students anything to take the test. The school picks up the tab. It really is Jeanne's class funds pays for it. After leaving the school, the test cost them $40.00
The results will not be ready for a couple of weeks.
Okay folks I really hope and pray that everyone out there had a change to visit with mom, or ad least called her.
I know our week-end was full of fun and seeing friends and family.
I pray that we all are doing better and moving forward in our lives, trying to get back to normal living.
I have many pictures to share about this week-end.
