I barrowed Pastor Craig's trailer to bring the two grills and what goes with grilling.
It was a full load.
We got everything ready and started the fire. This is Tuesday afternoon. The party starts at 5:30pm until 7pm.
Okay this is a setup for parents and students of 8th grade, looking for next year's high school to go to. It's called Attractor Programs. This way the parents can ask questions about what Westwood has to offer the 9th graders next year. So, our principal thought let the culinary department could grill hot dogs, hamburger and chicken. This way our students can share their stories with parents and students on what they are learning here. Plus, some of the student never grill before.
It went well. we sold about 70 hot dogs. 45 cheeseburgers and 2 chicken sandwiches. Not sure why the chicken didn't sell? Oh well, if we ever do this again. no chicken is needed.
Okay, now this is setup for Carnival. This is for the students and teachers, during lunch time. So, there are three-time slops. We were making Chicken Egg Rolls. Plus selling Little Caesars Pizza. We bought 15 cheese, 5 pepperoni and sausage.
I am not sure at this time what we sold. But it was a good day.
At the end, the wind kicked up and caused a fire with the table clothes. But no problem, got it under control.
Folks, Jeanne and her crew do all this to raise money for her program. The state or city doesn't give her any money for her program. Like the food she uses to cook with the students.
So, every penny she makes here and there, goes into school account. This way we can make different things. Sometimes her students have never eaten before. Plus, the students learn how to cook different things too. Overall, she loves her job and watches the student do what they have to make it happen. She just has to set them up and over see what is going on. I pretty much at functions like these, I am the money man. I correct the money and give out tickets. then at the end I count the tickets, then match the money to them. It is fun for me too, to watch and see how they really do pull together and make it happen.
I saw this on the back of a truck and thought, Wow, am I still the Snowbird or Flogrown???
I think I am, I have been living down here since 1984.
I started in Winter Haven/ Davenport. That is where my cousin Greg and his wife lived. Then I moved to Lakelake. Bought a mobile home up there. I worked for Color Crown. It was a franchise. I just worked for them. I didn't the money to buy into it. But I did that for 2 maybe 3 years?
Moved south, to Sandalfoot Cove. That is in Boca Raton. Worked for Superior Shades.
Then Home Depot. On Oct 26th, 1996, Jesus found me and I invited Him into my heart. Worked at Ritz Safety. Then started working at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale.
I was there from 1999 to 2005. Became a missionary (Adventure Learning Centre) Bahamas. I was there for 9 years. Came back to Calvary and worked another couple of years. Retire 2016. Moved up to Fort Pierce and got married and living a great life.
Everything comes back to Jesus Christ. He is the One that is my SAVOR.
Praise Him and Thank Him each day for all I have and not.
Please if you have not given your life to Him, No hard to do.
JUST CALL ON HIS NAME (JESUS) AND ASK HIM INTO YOUR LIFE AND YOU WILL BELONG TO HIM.
Really that is all you need to do.
