I went down to the Deerfield Beach. It really was a over cast day. But still is a beach and it so nice. Today I have some things to do, but later on I will be back there and take a nice walk.

That right I am in the air
Flying over here was very quite. You can see that this plane was very emty. I even sat by myself. It was really nice to watch a little tv too. Bill came and picked me up and we went to lunch, Costco. Then went and got the beautiful truck that Charlie and Julie let me use everytime I am in town. Went to my second god. Walmart. Ran into a couple I have not seen for many years. Bruce and Patty. We talked about all that has been going on.
I have one problem I found out. My Amercican Express card has expired as of July 2013. So it is a going to be a challange to buy all I want with the funds I have. Hopefully today I will talk with them and maybe send me a new card before I leave. Oh well, He knew all this before I got back here.

Thats right I am sitting at the airport (Nassau)
A couple of nights ago, I went and looked for my traveling bag. I found right where I left it. under my bed. Now remember I went to Cat island about two half weeks ago. While gone I just used a small bag. Now going over to Fort Lauderdale, Fl. I need my BIG bag. So I got it out and noticed a smell. That right while I was in Cat Island my bubby Jingles left me a depoist. It has such a great smell. Piss. So yesterday morning I tried to clean it up. Using Joy soap. Then bleach. Then Tim Seeley came over with some specal stuff. made to get rit of real bad smells. So this morning I went and smell my bag about two feet away. I guess there really is nothing to do to fix that smell. So I throw it in the trash this morning. So I will travel with my two smaller bags. Back pack and carry on. Before I leave to come back home I will find one at the thrift store. That is where I found this one. It only cost me $6.00. So really no real cost to me. It did it job and now it is trash.
Okay now folks if I have not told you, I will flying over to Fort Lauderdale, Fl. for 13 days. that right I will be back on the 25th of Nov.
I will have my phone on and ready when I landed there.

While I was in Cat Island.
It is so funny how you get a thought in your head and say, I wonder if I can find this on You Tube? Guess what, I believe you can find pretty much any thing you put your mind to, look at You Tube. On Saturday night I was sitting around with Eric at my place. I was telling him about the how I could watch TV at Cat Island for free. All I have to do is build a TV antenna. We watched around three videos and I told him that was my project for Saturday. I started building it around 9:30am. I had pretty much everything except the hook up for the cable cord. So I had to go ride around and find one. I really thought I could find it pretty much any store. But I was wrong. I had to drive to Radio Shack at the mall. Which it cost $6.95. I remember seeing these in the $1.00 store for a buck. Oh well. Okay back to building this ting. I got is all together and put it up along my shower wall. It was straight and high enough. Got the cable on, Okay the truth. No picture at all. Not even a sound of voices. I guess there is to much land between USA and here. (185 miles)The only thing I could think wound be the difference is Cat Island is much high up. Oh I tried.
Folks I will be going to the states on Tuesday this next week. So if you want to hook up with me, breakfast, lunch, dinner or what ever. Please e mail me at: toms@alcbahamas.org
While in town I will have a cell phone too: 954-552-3318. I would love to see you all.

For a Friday, WOW, got so much done.
First of all, the radiator on the Solar bus was still leaking around the fitting I tried to repair on Wednesday? So Tim Seeley was telling me how he solders copper pipe. He told me maybe he could help me. So we gave is a shot. He ended up using solder and a gas called Mapp. It burns a lot hotter. It seams to be holding.
Then Tim Ryan stopped by to finish putting the boards on the gate. Then we turned it over and Mark primer the next side.
While I was out getting my work permit at Immigration Office. I felt a rip in my back end. Not worrying about it. I got back to the Centre and started working on finishing up the porcupine area. I needed to put up some medal corner on the 4X4 post. The reason is porcupines love to eat wood. So maybe this will help. I know it does for the horses. So while putting it up, I felt more of my back end coming out. I just laughed and said oh well. That is one of the reason I need to get back to Florida. Which is happening next Tuesday morning (12th) Folks I know I might have gain a little more weight in my back end, but if you really look you can see how the threads are so weak and thin.
So over all, this week ended great. No really troubles had happen this week. Now let us see what is on hand Monday. Hopefully not to much to take care of.

Now that is a nice lunch
As my time is winding down before I leave for the states. I have not been buying food items. I am trying to use up what is around the house. So yesterday I was trying to make a sandwich. I thought about a friends family member. Bob and Faye grand daughter, she loves eating bagels. So every time they made up sandwiches she would want a bagel instead of bread.
Boy it sure a nice change.
I did do some working yesterday but didn't take any other pictures. Maybe today I will have some for tomorrow.

Okay we got a price on replacing the steel
Yesterday I was driving down on Mackey Street, I saw Johnathan from MS Welding. I stopped him and ask if he was coming back to give me a price on the trolley? I still had some shopping to do. I get a phone call from him, hey what did you want me to repair? He was at the Centre. I got into my truck and booket. I got there and lifted the trolley back up. I put it down on the ground before. Didn't want it it fall on some one. He looked and said. He charges by the hour or day. His rate is $75.00 hour. His day rate is $675.00. He was telling me it would take around a week to rebuild it. Which if you figure that out, would be $3375.00 5 days. He told me he would only charge us $2900.00 to rebuild the whole bottom. That is with out the steel.
Then we went up front near the gate, asking him about welding the plates for the gate. He said $400.00.
Okay I left to get some prices on the steel. The total is $1361.00. that is for the gate and trolley. That is shipped and delivered.
Okay our next step is to see what it will cost to buy a new trolley.

Just giving you all a heads up.
On Tuesday the 12th of Nov. I will be flying back to Fort Lauderdale, Fl. This is another time for me to get away and get some shopping done. Plus I will be resting too. Have not made a up schedule as of yet. I hope by this week-end to.
I do know on Sunday the17th I will be driving up to Winter Haven, Fl. I have been told that some of my family will be getting together and sharing pictures. I am very excited to be part of this. It really has been a long time since we as a family have done anything together. The sad part is there is only a hand full left. All of our parents have passed away. So the cousins are the one's left. There has been some problem between us too. So duirng my time up there I really am hoping to solve some of the hurts that I might have caused. I know I can not go back and fix the hurts. But by coming together we will be able to see what is worng. I love my family very much, but sometimes I try to fix things on my own. You know how us men are? If it is broken, I am Mr. Fix It. That is what I do here at the Adventure Learning Centre, Naasau Bahamas. But I have found out, sometimes it is just a listening ear is all they want.
I will be gone from the 12th to the 25 of Nov. I should be able to do inter net and blogging while gone this time. I will keep you all in the loop.
I do need prayer for this time too. While gone I am looking to hear from God about all that is going on now. You know, is there something else He wants from me? I have been here at the ALC now over 8 years. I signed up for 6 months. I believe as it is today, I will be here until He calls me home. But I need some help. I know Bob and Faye will be here after Chrsitmas. But in the long run, I need someone to come along and be willing to do what is needed. Plus I would willing to show and teach someone to do what I do. This last Summer was a rough one for me. But as I have breath I will do His will and my best.

We had a couple of projects going on yesterday
Well if you look you can see Tim is working on the other side of the new gate. Myself, Tim's truck needed a new power steering pump. So I replace that while he was on the gate. Then man a big wind came along and blew the other tent right over. After devotion this morning we will put it back in place. I did think it wouldn't be smart to try yesterday.
At the end of the day. Tim got the gate built and ready for some primer. Tim help me get the new pump in and it seems to work great. Hopefully that will solve his problem.
Today is my running around day. I need to get down to the mail boat and drop off Edison's starter. This way he can get it back and see what happens. I will be going to a foot doctor today. For over a month now, I have had a pain in my heal. I thought maybe it was a bruise. You know walking on rocks and hitting a rock hard. I don't see anything as a glass or what ever in it. It just has been hurting since. So I will have to bite the bullet and see what they find out.

Hey have you ever seen something like this before?
Edison and his wife had this on one of the shelves of a book case. I took a real close look at it. Not sure if this has the same motor for a clock or not? If that is what controls this. Wouldn't it stay the same each day? Not sure. I do know it works. Every time I went down to the beach I would look and see where the tide would be. It seamed to be right on. Hopeful when I get back in to Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Maybe if it isn't to much, I will get one. The reason is I watch Basil Dean each day to see the weather and he tells me when the tides are high or low. I do love showing the Camper that come here the different levels of the water. You know, South Beach area, low tide you can pretty much walk about a mile before you hit the water. Plus if you look out that way you can see trees growing in the ocean too.
I think it would be a neat toy to have.

That right, it is Kevin
He spent the week-end with me. It really was a nice time. He called me on Saturday around 3pm. I went and picked him up at Kelly's. That is where he works now. We had dinner at the Seeley's home. He spent the rest of the night over there. Then around 12am he came back over next to my place and stayed in the spare room.
On Sunday morning he yelled out to me. Hey there is this big bug in the shower!!! I went out and found this Stick Bug. It really is a beautifully looking bug. Just look at how he blends in with the branches. I had Kevin pick him up and look really close at him. This is so neat how our Lord can make a bug look like a branch on a tree, or bush.
After church Sunday morning we went to Marco's Pizza and came home. Then after changing our clothes we took Scooby to Goodman's Beach. It was so beautiful. But the water was a little on the chilly side. So no one went swimming. Not even Scooby, he would not even get close to the water. From there I took Kevin back to his mom's place. I just poked my head in and said good day to his mom, Kim. Came home and just relaxed. So that was my week-end.

That right, I had a chance to spend sometime with these beautiful women
I will not tell you their names, the reason is, they are mine. No I start calling out names and I know I will spell them wrong. It was a nice time to get some Couch Salad and chill.
Okay these two eggs.
Is is so funny how these eggs are to be Medium size. Now I know why every time I go to buy eggs, so many containers are open. People are mixing them up. So they can get the biggest one for the price.
Is Scooby happy a dog?
Hey he goes for rides and just loves it. It doesn't matter where I go, he is always a happy dog. Today was just to Cost Right store. You know he is such a wonderful friend too.

Friday there was things going on.
That right I just walked around all day and took pictures? No, I helped out. Tim Ryan finished up the first gate side. Tim Seely got the trench dug for the water line to go from the pump house to the cottage. Then the other staff worked on painting all day in the cottage. It really is coming together. Hopefully by the end of the month (Nov) the girls can move in the live here?

It is so neat to have a great staff as we do here at the ALC
After we did devotions, Eric gave me a couple of helpers. As you know we have been building a new gate for the front of the Centre. So yesterday I had them prime the new gate and some of the pieces that will finish up this side. Hopefully today (Friday) Tim will be coming over to fill their water bottles for the All saint Camp. While here he told me a couple of days ago, he would love to finish up this one side.
Then after that, they all came over to start priming the New Cottage. It is really starting to look pretty good, I think. Then the last picture is Tim trying to find a water line that goes to the Dinning Hall. He needs to find it and hook the New Cottage into that line so there will be water. Today Tim told me that he would look into renting a trencher. So I should have some pictures of that tomorrow.
Well today is Friday and hopefully no real problems will come up.
