Okay, we started another project, painting the new yellow bus.

That right the new bus we got form Calvary Chapel Ft. Laud, Fl. is get a make over. The first couple of pictures are the students taking the stickers off that had CCA name and church. That happen on Monday after noon. Then yesterday the students from Judson Collage stated getting to ready. You know sand the gloss off a little. Then paper and tape up everything that you don't want painted. This Judson group is from Chicago, Illinois. Well Stacie is one of our board members at the ALC. So she has five students that are art students there at Judson Collage. She asked us on Monday what we thought about painting the bus. Wow, okay I need to get the bus ready and put a base coat on first. So that is what happen yesterday. Stacie and I went down to AID and bought the auto paint and even went to Paint Place to get the rest of the paint to finish painting the cottage B. Now I got back and started spraying, it really went well. I had the art teacher (Joe) helping me keep the spray can filled. Plus helping move the latter and what ever else was needed. At the end we just had enough paint to do the whole bus. It really is neat to see how my Lord Jesus Christ shows up every time I am in need. The reason I say that is I was getting very tried and the paint was running low. I just asked Him to make sure I finish well and we can walk away praising His Name.
The last picture is me trying to be Papa Sriff. At the end I had a blue beard. It took me another hour of so to clean the sprayer up. But in the end it looked great. Folks never under estimate our Lord in anything you do.

Winding down.

Man do you see all that has gotten done? I am in all of how this is all coming to together. Today Tuesday, is our last day for Andy to be here. He will be flying back home (Canada) tomorrow morning So as it stands now, it is very close.
Just a note, do you see the second picture down? Well the whole trolley frame looked like that on Sunday morning. I sprayed this green stuff on it and the rust is gone. This stuff really works on rust. Just look back at my blog when we first started building this ting. Rust every where.

Okay now you can see what I am talking about, WOW

What happen on Sunday?

Well I got up early and went over to the centre and sprayed the axles a with this stuff that eats away rust. After church I got back and primed the axles and springs with medal primer. I was rushing around to get this done before Andy and Bob would be back. I really could have painted the whole trolley and parts. They didn't get back until 4:30pm. But that okay, my Lord knew it before, I needed a rest a little before the after noon got started.
So Bob,Faye and Andy got back to the Camp. We all piled into the Ford and I gave them a tour of the island. We started out from the east side and work out way around to the west. It really was a relaxing time. I just love to show this place off and try to explain what is what and why. So as we were driving. we stopped by Goodman Bay Beach Walked around a little and kept on driving. It really was a nice time and Faye was telling me that she didn't know all about different places I was talking about. So it really was enjoyable.
Got back our way and stopped at Wendy's and then came home.
Hey wanted to watch something last night before I went to bed. So I saw Lone Ranger.(second time) Please if you have not seen this movie, go and get the DVD. I rolled around on the ground it is so funny.

Another Saturday trying to keep up

You can see we had some work to do on Saturday. It really was a great day. First of all, how do I clean up the axles? I have been thinking sand Blasting? Then while sitting around, I thought why not pressure wash them? Well I had Kevin doing that. Andy and Dr. Bob did their thing. I worked on cleaning up my truck. It has been a while since I have taken the time to do it. I even pressure washed the truck outside and inside the engine. It really is nice to have a clean ride. The axles came out looking like (some what ) new.
At the end of the day we all went out and had a nice dinner at Bamboo Shack. Then we went to the mall here. While there, I saw this sign. I just love looking at signs and sharing them you guys. My main reason was to buy a NEW ROOTER. Which I did, still having troubles, in and out. But I can get one today?
Today we are taking it easy and even going to church too. Maybe see you then?

All right you can see how fast we are moving.

Okay first of all, this guy you see in these pictures is Andy Howell, he is from Canada and a good friend of Bob and Faye's. If you have been checking the blog out, he has been here since Tuesday night. This guy can weld. My main job is to keep both Dr. Bob and him happy. So when I can I cut up the steel that is small enough to use the chop saw. The next job I have is to make sure they have all they need to do the job. So for the last couple of days I have had to go out and buy more oxygen and welding sticks plus. It has kept me hopping. Like I said before I am one day behind with pictures, but looking at it last night we really are moving a lot faster than I thought by now. The main thing now is to get the axes sand basted. I have been to the shop to drop them off, but the guy that over sees that is on another island until Monday. So I guess I will have to wait until then. It really has been a joy to have a guy like Andy around here, he loves to joke around and just has fun too. My biggest problem is to keep up with his welding. Boy this guy just flies through and doesn't look back at all. Today Saturday we really hope to have it pretty much done. Except putting the axes in. We talked last night and Dr. Bob and him believe we can finish this up today. So by noon today, we will be able to breath a relief.
As the day wines down, hope Andy will be able to see our Gran Canyon movie. Today we have around 30 people signed up to see the 2:30pm showing. But let us not give up yet, there will be others walking in and asking if they can see it too. Folks this movie we are trying to show is about how the canyon is drying up and what will happen if it does. Robert Redford is the one telling the story about a young couple and how they lived there all their lives to see what it has become, today.

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
