Last night I had a opportunity to see a cute play.

This is the Sunrise Theatre (their way of spelling is not correct for Google) in Fort Pierce.

My friend Janice's grand children are in this play. So let see what this is all about???

This is a children workshop camp. The children come in on Monday and see how a program is ran. We were told last night that the children get their part on Wednesday and have many rehearsals.
Then by Friday night they get to play it out.

I know the pictures are not to good. But really I was not able to use a flash.
Janice's grand children played, Jazmyn played a Robots of Lapunta (planet)
Conley played a Yahoo. Which was like a hobo on another planet. Mean while the two guys that played Gulliver was being transported back and forth between the three different planets.
At the end the story works out that all three plants work together to educate the Yahoos. Everyone lives happily ever after.

By listening to the Terry and Lindsay. They are the ones that being the costumes and props. Plus they bring the scripts and everything that is needed to pull the play off.
It was enjoyable and very well done too.

Roy and I went for a ride to Okeechobee.

This back door belongs to Sue. She asked me a while back if I could replace it? I checked out at Habitat Humanity (Restore) I have been there like 4 times looking for  door. Not happening.

Okay this is Michelle's door. She wants a new too. So thinking this might work out great. Sue and Michelle need doors. Okay let us take a drive out to Okeechobee. It is about 35 miles away, one way.

So as you take 441 south, it runs into the Lake Okeechobee. So Roy and I stopped by to take a look. Hey is has been years since I have seen this lake. I think in the 90's was my last time. During then the lake was at the lowest point from drought.
But you can see it has recovered very nicely. I went on Google to find out how deep this lake normally is? She told me avg 12 feet deep.

It sure is a beautiful view.

I didn't think of taking a picture of the building. So I took this off their web site.

For the size we need for Michelle is 34" x 76" So these next doors you see are for her.
This one is $175.00. This is the one we picked up for her.

This is Bud, he has been working here for 6 years. So as we were looking I asked him to put them out and I will take a picture for the customer. This one is $450.00. She really like this one. But don't have the funds for it.

She realy didn't like this one, but it could be yours for $409.00.
So we got Michelle the diamond shape.
Then picked up another door for Sue, she only wants the cheaper one. Her size is 36" x 79" That one cost the same $175.00.

While leaving Okeechobee, I saw this painting on the wall. I really like it.

Michelle asked if we could put this door on the back entrance?
You can see we got the old door off. The new one up. Had to run to Home Depot and get her a new door handle.

The finished job, It took us longer to run for the parts than it did to install it. But it is in and she is very happy. I will need to come back and drill out another hole for her dead bolt.
Hopefully today we can get the other door in, this afternoon. Roy has appointment with his accountant. So after that I hope we will be able to get that one in today.
Mean while I will work on Carol's yard.

This is over the hill, to ME

ORGANIC FOR CAT NIP WHAT????

Have you ever looked at the PET FOOD AISLE ?

There two aisles for pet food. How can this be????

People are looking to our pets for companionship. So why do we need all these different foods and toys? .

Do you see these foods are in a refrigerator. Then look at the prices!!!!!.
Why not just go buy a steak dinner and save some money?

Okay this to me is crazy. Frozen Dog Pops.
Folks don't you remember the Gravy Train ads? back in the 60-70's?

To me cat food or dog is just food for them. WHY SPEND THESE PRICES?????

Replacing a floor a bathroom.

About four months ago, I got a call from a guy here in the park. Could I stop by and give him a price. Sure can. So Roy and I went over to this guys home. The floor in the bathroom was being held up with the vinyl flooring ONLY.
You really can not see how bad this floor is yet.
So we gave him a price. That was to replace the flooring and put in a new vanity and toilet.
I think we said $850.
He talked it over with his wife and told me that they can not do it at this time.

So I saw him during the 4th of July party at the pool. He asked me to stop by and see what they have done. I walked in and said wow. What happen was his son, came down and is staying with them for a while and he tore the flooring out. So now we know how bad it really is.
So we gave him a price for the wood only and labor, $250.00. So on Monday of this week Roy and I did the work.

The bad part about all this is, I kept stepping on the bad wood and almost fell in a couple of times. But by His Grace I didn't get hurt at all. I even worn gloves on this job. It smelled and it was even scary a little. Do you see the holes in the wall???? Plus there is a 240 volt line that has been chewed on.
Plus the closet was shot too. I didn't think about replacing that part. But as we kept moving forward we repaired it all.

You can see we reinforced the 2x6 studs and ran runner along side of them.

It took us about 5 hours to do this job. But at the end I was very happy to see how nice it came out and I know the owners of the home are very pleased too.
Not sure when they want to finish this up? He was telling me maybe next month we could do the tile work next?
I am so blessed to be able to do work like this and make a couple of buck too.

Working on golf cart things.

Al rightly, Roy has had this golf cart for over three years. The sad part is that his batteries are dead. So his brothers were telling him about putting in new battery acid. So on Thursday we drained the batteries and put in new acid. Okay now he needs to use a trickle charger to bring them back to life.
That didn't really work. So we borrowed Mark's charger. He owns the car lot on US 1 and Kings Highway. So Roy plugged it in after using it and the batteries came alive. Now I know we drove around the block, but it really didn't feel like it was fulling charge. But we drove around the bloack and back. Now he will charge it again and see what happens.

Okay this is Friday morning and Roy and I dug up the grass in my back yard. This way I will have a pad for the my golf cart. It sure was harder than I thought pulling all that grass out. We put down the sheets plastic and put the stones in place. I think it looks great. The reason was my carport is to small to store it there.

Now I will go to Amazon and buy a golf cart cover.

There sure was a lot of grass to pull out. I took it down to the little area that the boys use for the park here.

Sunday afternoon I built this little box for the my charger.

I am very blessed to be able to have this and all that our Lord has given me.

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
