This back door belongs to Sue. She asked me a while back if I could replace it? I checked out at Habitat Humanity (Restore) I have been there like 4 times looking for door. Not happening.
Okay this is Michelle's door. She wants a new too. So thinking this might work out great. Sue and Michelle need doors. Okay let us take a drive out to Okeechobee. It is about 35 miles away, one way.
So as you take 441 south, it runs into the Lake Okeechobee. So Roy and I stopped by to take a look. Hey is has been years since I have seen this lake. I think in the 90's was my last time. During then the lake was at the lowest point from drought.
But you can see it has recovered very nicely. I went on Google to find out how deep this lake normally is? She told me avg 12 feet deep.
It sure is a beautiful view.
I didn't think of taking a picture of the building. So I took this off their web site.
For the size we need for Michelle is 34" x 76" So these next doors you see are for her.
This one is $175.00. This is the one we picked up for her.
This is Bud, he has been working here for 6 years. So as we were looking I asked him to put them out and I will take a picture for the customer. This one is $450.00. She really like this one. But don't have the funds for it.
She realy didn't like this one, but it could be yours for $409.00.
So we got Michelle the diamond shape.
Then picked up another door for Sue, she only wants the cheaper one. Her size is 36" x 79" That one cost the same $175.00.
While leaving Okeechobee, I saw this painting on the wall. I really like it.
Michelle asked if we could put this door on the back entrance?
You can see we got the old door off. The new one up. Had to run to Home Depot and get her a new door handle.
The finished job, It took us longer to run for the parts than it did to install it. But it is in and she is very happy. I will need to come back and drill out another hole for her dead bolt.
Hopefully today we can get the other door in, this afternoon. Roy has appointment with his accountant. So after that I hope we will be able to get that one in today.
Mean while I will work on Carol's yard.
