Hey I really don't have that much to say today.

The last couple of days have been rough around here. We are trying to get this place some what emptied out. We have the back bedroom done. The middle closets empty. This house has so much in it.
I have had a great time just going through things and finding a lot of stuff about my dad. Things I have not seen in many years. You know pictures and letter and even a card that he wrote to tell Florence (mom) how much he loved her and just letting her know that he could not live with out her. If that doesn't hit you in your heart nothing will.
Well today is our last day to pretty much finish up and get ready for the yard sale Saturday to Sunday. I will have more pictures tomorrow after we set up and start.

Well folks the funeral is over.

I knew it was going to be a rough one, but not sure how rough. There was pastor/priest there named Rick. He did my dad's grave site message. He was sharing about John 14;1 and I knew that is where most pastors go to during a service. I saw him just before the service and ask if I could speak? Then he told me about his Christian walk since 17, (born again)I thought that when he did my dad's. He finished and ask me to come up. I walk up and told everyone that I thank them for being part of this family. Then I tried to read Hebrews 4:1-3. I just got so over whelmed. My heart felt like it was breaking. It was not because of my mom. I started to cry and got the verses out and told them that Jesus Christ loved them and we all need to know Him. Plus I told them that one of these days the all of us will be in a box. I just kept on crying. That was not my idea of what I wanted to say. But I guess that is what He wanted. I had a couple of my family come up and hugged me and told me how much they love me. I looked back and I just felt so bad for them.
Afterward was the time to eat and drink. I was looking and I just thought how I use to be part of them before. I did some helping out and sitting around talking and just getting caught up a little. The pictures above are the time of get together.

Say good to the tings we think we need.

The couple of pictures are above, tells the story.

Yes folks since I have been in the Bahamas, I have been saving 6 plastic boxes. In these boxes are photo albums and books that I have collected since I have been a Christian. Yesterday The Lord gave me peace and just His love to throw every thing away. You can see 3 of the boxes are empty and the other 3 have books in them to give away at the yard sale this Friday to Sunday. I can tell you this at first I just said I will find another place for them. Then I realize there really is no other place for them at this time. So now I pretty much really do own nothing. I don't have to worry about hurricanes coming and destroying them. Which that has been a concert for a while now. Thank you Lord for your peace and just know how much we need a good clean out sometimes.

The funeral is Wednesday at 2 pm 29th of July

How to get there. Take 95 to the exit road called Hypoluxo. Head east to the next signal, Seacrest Blvd. Go south about 1/4 mile and you will see the cemetery on your right.
The name is Palm Beach Memorial
3891 Seacrest Blvd
Lantana, Florida 33462
My mom's name is Florence Schafer I am not sure if there is another funeral going on during our time. That is July 29th tomorrow at 2 pm. There will be a viewing at 1 pm the same day.
My prayer request is that my family have the strength to be able to see her and remember the good times. Plus knowing one day they will be there too. Jesus is the way and the truth. John 14:6.

These are a couple of my sisters working their hearts out.

Good day all,

Well in the last couple of days we as a family have been working on cleaning and just emptying the house out. If you have ever have been here or heard me talk about this place you would understand what I am talking about. I am looking at it this morning and we really have done some work so after. I think it will take about two weeks to finish all. We are trying to get things out to the back, under a carport. There will be a yard sale this coming Friday to Sunday. Just trying to get rite of things and maybe make a buck or two. We have come up with a plain. Everything that is bought now for this funeral and the time here. Lenny will keep track and at the time of selling the home, will add up everything and then share the left over with all of us. Plus if you want something just take it home with you while you leave. Yesterday we found a box full of 8 mm movies. Not sure if these are from our family or not. I called a company that does the transform to DVDs. They told me it would cost around $300.00 to transform them to DVD.Plus I need to empty 6 plastic boxes that I have been saving since I move to Bahamas. I will be going through them today and see what I can take with me or not. Just a small note, I really don't have any one to share these pictures with. You know wives kids grand kids. So I will pretty much throw most of everything out. I just need the strength to get rite of them.

Hey the family is gathering soon.

Yes some of them came in Sunday morning, The rest is coming in today and tomorrow. We are looking at around 20 people coming in out of state. By looking at the list of family members, it will be nice to see each other again. The sad part is when my dad was still alive up in Rochester, NY. we as a family got together each and every Summer holiday. We would first start at out home in Webster, NY. Then end up in Buffalo, NY. on Labor Day. Back then we just enjoy life as a family. I have noticed as we all get older, people passing away. the family is smaller and less and less come out for funerals. Even back when my dad passed away. His sisters didn't come down at all. Plus then I noticed my mom was not so much a part of the Schafer family any more. They would call and say hello but would not come down to visit like they use to. Most of my family would come down during the winter time to visit and spend time with my dad and mom. Now I am not sure what is going to happen next. Pretty much on my side Schafers. There is only around 18 member left. I have a step brother that I have tried to get a hold of since dad has passed away. (2002)
To bring this to a end, all I am saying family is passing away and who really knows Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savor. Really not sure. Plus one more thing, when was the last time you told them how much you LOVE THEM?

Some of the family has arived.

Hello again all,

I am sorry if you are only getting this news by this blog. But living over in the Bahamas, it cost to call. I just want to give you all a up date on what I will be doing. I will be flying out of Bahamas around 6pm and will be staying in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. until Aug 2.
I did talk with my sister last night and told me that mom was doing okay. Folks this really was not something we were expecting at all. I know she was 87 years old, but she has been doing well health ways. I was in town during June 2 to the 15 and we did some things together and she was doing well.
I was told that they found her laying on the floor in the living room. My prayer has always been to pass from this earth with peace of mind and fast. Betsy told me last night she believes, she passed fast and no really problems.
To bring this all together is. We just don't know when we will be called out of this world. All I want to say is Please if you are having trouble with a family member or friend. Please make amends. Don't go away from this blog and say I will do it tomorrow. YOU DON'T KNOW IF YOU WILL HAVE TOMORROW?
The only thing that we have it today and do your best with it. PLEASE make sure you are right with our LORD Jesus Christ.
In John 14:6
Jesus said to him (Thomas) I am the way, the truth and the life. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.
Please folks my prayer has been that each person that ever sees my blogs. Sees Christ through them. I have been writing in these since 2006. I want to see each and every one of you one of these days in heaven and just knowing that I have done what I have been called to do. I know you guys love me and I LOVE YOU TOO. That is why I push so much about Jesus Christ and how you can find peace of mind just knowing Him. I really pray that today it the beganing of a new life for you in Christ.
Please talk with your family members and friends. I might be writing about your funeral tomorrow.

They beleive they know Christ but I don't see the fruit. I am sorry if you are getting this news this way. I have written to others trying to get the word out. Like I said before I will find out more tonight. I will keep every one in the loop by my blog and e mail.

Good day all, Our News Letter is out for July.

That is right we at the Adventure Learning Centre have a news letter. It has been a while since we have had it. But I am excited to say yes, it is back. The web page that is below, just cut and paste it on the inter net of your chose.
http://e2ma.net/map/view=CampaignPublic/id=29211.2226078749/rid=3e6f1c379d42e7704016eb8b4464bf0f
I hope you take the time to check out news letter and see all that has been going on here during this summer camp. Plus the request for HELP TOO. Please keep that is your prayer time too.
I am so ready for this summer to be over. Our temperatures have been averaging around 92 degree each day. I can tell you this, it might not sound like it is hot. But working out side each day under the sun, it is HOT.
This last week has been a joy for me, pretty much the tings I have fixed, are still running and by His grace I pray they will continue.
Short story, yesterday I was working on one of our staff's car. It needed a new gas tank put in plus I put in a lift kit too. I can tell you this. If I had someone to run for the tools and that extra hand to hold it in place. It would have not taken all day to get these two small jobs done. Put by His grace and giving me the willingness to do it. It got done and I believe it is fixed. Before this new tank. I have taken this gas tank down three time before to have it welded. Each time it was fixed. But a month goes by and it is leaking again. So thank you Jesus for your help and the willingness to do it right this time.

This machine below is going to save us BIG money.

Yes it has been a while since I have written, I really have been having a lot of things breaking down. But I have great news. Yesterday William came out and checked over our new Reverse osmosis machine. He is the one that installed it about month ago or so. I have not really had the time to check it out and see what was going on. Adam and I changed out the filters two days ago, and the machine would not reset itself. Adam called and William came out and it looks like we are back on line. We tested the water with his little tester. It is reading 0.035. Then Adam asked him to test our Aquapure water we buy here, $4.25, 5 gallons. It tested out 0.033. So our water is as good as theirs now. I will be taking a water sample to the this place that charge $44.00 to give a full test. We are really looking forward in using this machine. If you know anything about buying water. We spend about $160.00 a week just on that. Plus I know we spend about the same down at the Camp too. I really am looking forward in using it and saving us money. The reason we are getting another test is. Every one here drinks this water,Aquapure. We as missionaries get it free, as part of our time here. We just want to make sure.

Our New reverse osmoaia machine.

It has taken me a while to find out what the trouble is.

It was two weeks ago today that our big World Bus broke down. Yes she is not doing to good. Michello and I towed her back to ALC and she has not been feeling good. I did all I could to see the problem was. But I don't know that much about transmissions. So I got a hold of a guy on the island here, Sam. He came out and I noticed while driving in I could see two beer bottles inside of his car. I asked the Lord what to do? I listen to Sam and he told me that there is really only two main things that can go wrong with a transmission. There more but if it just stops and will not move forward or reveise. It is the Oil pump, or the torque converter. I listened and asked more questions and what he was saying made since. I asked him how much he would charge us to help me change it out from the older bus? He said $500.00. I was not really that supprised. I told him I would call him back later on.
Mean while I talked it over with Adam and he said maybe we can get someone form Calvary, Ft Laud. to come over and help us out? I said great. Now I just need to wait and see if it will happen or not.
I went on line to see what a one Torque converter cost? $795.00. So that answer my first question. To take from Peter and give to Paul. So I am sorry to say that our old Solar Bus will be not drivable for sure now. Before I could drive it to where needed a air compressor is needed. But now no more.
Now I need to wait on our guest to come over and give me a helping hand. Mark and I moved it to the pad to make it easier to work on. I dropped the drive train yesterday.

I am stealing from Peter to pay Paul.
