Okay I have a small leak in my shower.

Back about three months ago or so, Roy and I went to Home Depot and bought some washers to repair my shower. Now at the time I was thinking I should replace the sit too. But they didn't have the correct one. So we just replace the washers. At that time it came apart pretty easy.
Okay I will replace both the sit and washers this time.
About a week or so, I was talking with Roy, telling him I have a small leak again. He said, he has both of his showers leaking. He told me, hey we are not paying for the water by the meter. So leave it alone. You might have get into more than you want?

I started pulling harder and harder. GUESS WHAT HAPPEN??? That is correct, the PVC pipe broke at three different places. There was nothing holding the water valves in place. So everything broke off.
Mean while before I even tried to take it apart, I turned all the water off. By God's grace.

Well now what? Did you look and see where the pipes are? Not a easy place at all to get to.

I went over and asked for Roy's helping ideas. We both looked and said, the one wall is needed to come out. Come on??? So we got the wall out and did the work and put it all back together again.
that was the hardest part. Remember I redid that bath room about five months ago.

You can see it is even some what reinforced. It only has a couple of screws in a 1x2 board. But it should not push thought. The screws are in dry wall.

Repainted it and it doesn't leak. The sad part was I had to finish this today, so I could take a shower before I went to work at 6 pm.
By His grace it works and no leaks. Praise Him.

Well folks the e mails keep on coming.

I open up my e mails a couple of days ago. There I saw I had 76 in spam. Wow, they really want me to work. So trying to get rite of them. I open them up.

These are only a couple that I took pictures of to UNSUBSCRIBE. It took me about 30 minutes to do this. Then the next day I had 46 spam. so I am getting rite of them slowly. Prayerfully by the week-end they will all be gone.
I am still working at Winn-Dixie. I only go in for three (3) days. So the money is not flowing in as fast. But if you figure it out. I will never hit my cap this way. It is a good thing or looking I want more. I will see what else God has for my time.

As you live in a retirement community.

You look out of your front window and see this. First of all you think the worst. Who as passed away? But then you ask your neighbors what happen. You find out they had a stroke. Well ad least they are going to be okay.
Now I have know of Ruthie as a loving woman that has lived here since this park started up. She has always have folks coming to her place to help. Betsy is one that feeds her each day and every meal.
I have done work for Betsy and she has kept me in the loop on Ruthie. As of yesterday seeing the fire truck and recuse unit out in front of her home, Betsy told me how she was doing. She  was thinking maybe she will come out of this again okay? She has had problems for many years and she has always come back home.
Well this morning I was told she will not be coming back home. She has gone on to see our Lord Jesus Christ. Not sure about when and where she will be buried.
But please keep her family in prayer.
Then this morning I saw Roy outside and he asked me for a shovel. Thinking maybe wants to paint something. No their cat Oriole passed early this morning. So I went over and help him dig a hole in their back yard. I tried to comfort his wife Pat by saying something at the grave. We back filled the hole and went out and had coffee. He really was shaken up a little.
Hey I understand about having pets. They do become part of your life and they are family. When the kids grow up and move out and mom does't have anyone to take care of. They are family.

Hanging out with some neighbors

This is Jimmy and his cat, Jake. Jake is such a lovable and trusting cat. Jimmy, Pat and Jake live across the street from me. Jimmy use to work as a postal worker. He delivered mail to your homes back in Pa. So he thought this would be funny, when our guy comes to see his face after opening the box??? Jimmy was just joking. The poor guy could have a heart attack.

These two are my neighbor to the south. Jon and Brenda. They both work at Winn- Dixie like I do. They are such a nice couple. As you can see the weather is prefect out and everyone is taking walks to just enjoy the sun and the warmth.

Last night I had a chance to spend the evening over at Roy's brother's Bobby's home. From left to right. Fred, (his birthday was yesterday) He turned 74 years old. Then Pat, (Roy's wife) Michelle and Roy in the back ground and Bobby, Michelle's hubby.
It really is neat to see how close this family is. We watch a little TV and them had a cake and some coffee. Just good old family things I miss.
But, I guess I am one of the bros now.

A minute with GOD

I spent a minute and hope you will too.

I LOVE THE OPENING SENTENCE:

With what is going on in the world these days, Heaven could end up a ghost town?
My name is God.  You hardly have time for Me.  I love you and will always bless you.
I am always with you.  I need you to spend 60 seconds of your time with Me today.
Don't pray, just praise.  Today, I want this message to go around the world before midnight.
Will you help?  Please do not delete it, and I'll help you with something you are in need; even if just quiet time.
Just dare Me!  A blessing is coming your way.  Please drop everything and pass it on.
Why are prayers getting shorter, but bars and clubs are enlarging and expanding?
Why is it so easy to worship a celebrity, but very difficult to walk with Me?
Think about it, will you offer a prayer just now, or are you going to ignore doing so, because your don’t have time for Me?
Consider forwarding  this to all your friends.  80% of you won't.
I have said, if you deny Me before your friends, I will deny you on Judgment Day.  What I say, I keep!
When one door closes, I open two more.  If I have opened doors for you, send this message along to others, bless them for Me.
Thanks!

God's been good to me, so I’m forwarding!

Thank you Walter you always have a encouraging e mails. Life is short.
PRAISE HIM TODAY AND SEE WHAT HE HAS PLANNED FOR YOU?

Shopping on line can save you money, BIG TIME

I was at Home Depot last week looking at different items that I will need down the road. You know they cut my grass at my place. But the trimming is not always done well. So I was thinking of getting a weed eater and blower. Okay I remember around Father's Day last year. I think I saw a blower and weed eater for $99.00. At the store. Not bad I thought.

Until I went on line and found many more options. Okay there was one for $99.00. But you didn't get the battery or changer with it. But with this one you do.
PLUS if the battery is dead after a while. You can just plug it in to the out let. That is the really neat thing. It runs on battery or electric. Hey for $69.97, how can you go wrong. This will be my first purchase after I get my first pay check.
It really is worth shopping on line folks. Please before you buy anything, CHECK IT OUT.

The Lord answered one of mine prayers.

I have a job. That right no more sitting around doing nothing. It was fun for a short season. But I started working at Win-Dixie last night. At first we, Sem and I had to sit in front of a computer and watch videos and take tests afterwards. It was kinda boring doing that. But we both pass the different ones and we went out on the floor and did some work.

This man is Sem, he is Haitian. He has been in this country for about 8 months. He has a wife and no children at this time. He is learning English at a school down the road. He really was trying to listen and learn on the videos. Like I said we passed the test and got to do some real work.

I was hired to do what they call Facing the aisles. What that is? I pull the stock to the front of the shelves and make it look like the shelves are full. As this was our first night working there, I had a chance to work along side Sem. He was hired to stock the shelves at night time. So I guess we will be seeing each other as the night goes on.

At the end of the night. These are the items we found on the shelves that don't belong there. Plus taking empty boxes off too. At the end of the evening my knees were hurting a little. But in the long run, I felt pretty good. We worked until after midnight. But it was rewarding to see how nice the store looks after we get it all FACED OFF.
Hey it brought back many memories of when I was 18 years old. I worked in a store back in Webster, New York. It is called Wegmans. That was my third job I ever had. I stocked shelves and faced off the aisles.
The real neat thing was last night. I walked in the back room where the stock is stored. It smelled just like when I was working at Wegmans. I guess that smell is in each and everyone of the grocery stores.

I am so blessed to be able to work an make a couple of bucks here and there. He has always provide and He will not let me go.

Helping out Roy's brother Fred.

We took up this old indoor outdoor green carpet. It was glued down pretty good. But as we all got a hold of one piece is all came up. Now there is a bunch of old glue and stuff still on the floor. But a little scrapping is all coming up.

Then we took down a old fan in the living room. now there is a brand new one and it even works afterwards.
It's really kind of fun hanging out with these guys. I get to hear their stories and all they have done in their lives.
We all went out this morning and had a nice breakfast too.
Fred paid, which that was nice too.

On Tuesday morning Roy and I took a ride. Hard to believe?

I make jokes about us going different places. hey he is a buddy and it is fun to hangout with him. Okay so now it is at the end of the year. As like your car you need to get a new tag for your license plate. So we drove over to the Motor Vehicle Department. There is one in Vero Beach, it is very small and really fast too. This is the place I came to get my driver license straighten out before. Very nice people and like I said. no lines. But the real neat thing is, look at all the Florida License Plates there are. I didn't count them, but there are plenty.
Okay back to the tag thing.

Our homes are registered as motor vehicles. So as it is a double wide. You have to have two tags. Which you can see above. It really is not that big of deal. But now you can see my mobile home is ledge again. That is why Roy had to get his done too.I did my on line.

Well not sure how cold you guys have been getting?

I am not sure the day I took this picture? But you can see it has been cold around here.

Well for the last week it has been cold around here. I know, not really cold. But to this old body, I have been chilled. You can see what the temp was on Monday morning in my house. That correct. 56. Now that is cold for me.
Let me back up and tell you a story. Since I have lived here, I have been having some trouble of my air/heat. It goes back during the summer time. The air would not kick on. I open the panels up on the air unit. Look around and push a wire or two and the blower would start working.
It must the wiring. You know a bad connection?
So during the summer it would come on every once and while.
I open up the panel and hit the wires and then it would come on.
Okay enough of this. I need to find out what the problem is.

I called in a local guy that I see around the park all most everyday. he came over and looked it over. Telling me it is the blower motor needs to be replace. Okay why would that be the problem? He told me that is most of every problem.
Okay he came out and really didn't do anything. I had the panels off for him. He was here 5 minutes. The blower came on. All fixed, now? Not really. Oh he did reduce the service call from $87.00 to $67.00. I had to call the office to pay the $67.00. So talking with Mary, I told her what he did. She really doesn't understand anything about the air unit.
She made a deal with me. If they are called out again, he will not charge me.
He came out and hit the wires again and the blower came on. All fixed????
I asked him, why is it the blower? He told me, that is the only thing that is the problem. I asked him, how about the thermostat? He said maybe?
Well on Monday night I go to a men's Bible study. I called my friend Jon to see if he was going this last Monday night. He was telling me that he really didn't fell good enough. But we talked about the air unit. He was telling me that there is a guy that is part of the study, that owns his air business.
Well Monday night I asked him what he thinks? It is Joshua. He told me that he would be out my way yesterday and would stop by.
He came and looked it over and was some what puzzled. He said lets go in and look at the thermostat.

He tells me that is the problem. No charge for the service call.
I took Roy for a ride and we stopped at Lowes and bought one.
$24.99.
I saw cheater ones on line, but this story didn't have them.
Roy and I got it stalled and guess what . It worked during the night and even this morning I got up and it was still working.

Thank you Joshua. His company card.

I know this is a long story, BUT you will be blessed reading it. Thank you Walter

Beautiful story.... makes you understand that things happen for a reason .The brand new pastor and his wife, newly assigned to their first ministry, to reopen a church in suburban Brooklyn , arrived in early October excited about their opportunities. When they saw their church, it was very run down and needed much work. They set a goal to have everything done in time to have their first service on Christmas Eve. They worked hard, repairing pews, plastering walls, painting, etc, and on December 18 were ahead of schedule and just about finished. On December 19 a terrible tempest - a driving rainstorm - hit the area and lasted for two days. On the 21st, the pastor went over to the church. His heart sank when he saw that the roof had leaked, causing a large area of plaster about 20 feet by 8 feet to fall off the front wall of the sanctuary just behind the pulpit, beginning about head high.
The pastor cleaned up the mess on the floor, and not knowing what else to do but postpone the Christmas Eve service, headed home. On the way he noticed that a local business was  having a flea market type sale for charity, so he stopped in. One of the items was a beautiful, handmade, ivory colored, crocheted tablecloth with exquisite work, fine colors and a Cross embroidered right in the center. It was just the right size to cover the hole in the front wall. He bought it and headed back to the church. By this time it had started to snow. An older woman running from the opposite direction was trying to catch the bus. She missed it. The pastor invited her to wait in the warm church for the next bus 45 minutes later.
She sat in a pew and paid no attention to the pastor while he got a ladder, hangers, etc., to put up the tablecloth as a wall tapestry. The pastor could hardly believe how beautiful it looked and it covered up the entire problem area. Then he noticed the woman walking down the center aisle. Her face was like a sheet. "Pastor,"she asked, "where did you get that tablecloth?" The pastor explained. The woman asked him to check the lower right corner to see if the initials 'EBG' were crocheted into it there. They were. These were the initials of the woman, and she had made this tablecloth 35 years before, in Austria .The woman could hardly believe it as the pastor told how he had just gotten "The Tablecloth". The woman explained that before the war she and her husband were well-to-do people in Austria When the Nazis came, she was forced to leave. Her husband was going to follow her the next week. He was captured, sent to prison and she never saw her husband or her home again.
The pastor wanted to give her the tablecloth; but she made the pastor keep it for the church. The pastor insisted on driving her home. That was the least he could do. She lived on the other side of Staten Island and was only in Brooklyn for the day for a housecleaning job.
What a wonderful service they had on Christmas Eve. The church was almost full. The music and the spirit were great. At the end of the service, the pastor and his wife greeted everyone at the door and many said that they would return. One older man, whom the pastor recognized from the neighborhood, continued to sit in one of the pews and stare, and the pastor wondered why he wasn't leaving. The man asked him where he got the tablecloth on the front wall because it was identical to one that his wife had made years ago when they lived in Austria before the war and how could there be two tablecloths so much alike?
He told the pastor how the Nazis came, how he forced his wife to flee for her safety and he was supposed to follow her, but he was arrested and put in a prison. He never saw his wife or his home again in all the 35 years between. The pastor asked him if he would allow him to take him for a little ride. They drove to Staten Island and to the same house where the pastor had taken the woman three days earlier. He helped the man climb the three flights ofstairs to the woman's apartment, knocked on the door and he saw the greatest Christmas reunion he could ever imagine.
T rue story - submitted by Pastor Rob Reid who says God does work in mysterious ways. I asked the Lord to bless you as I prayed for you today, to guide you and protect you as you go along your way. His love is always with you. His promises are true, and when we give Him all our cares we know He will see us through. So when the road you're traveling seems difficult at best, just remember I'm here praying and God will do the rest.
Pass this on to those you want God to bless and remember to send it back to the one who asked God to bless you first. When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need. Take 60 seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply say the following small prayer for the person who sent this to you. Father, G od, bless all my friends and family in what ever it is that You know they may be needing this day! May their lives be full of Your peace, prosperity and power as they seek to have a closer relationship with You. Amen.

Okay I signed up for a couple of job offers.

Hey I know these companies have been out there for a while now. What they do is like hurt for people to fill different positions for jobs Then they get some what a kick back. Now I know like Home Depot and Winn Dixie have their own HR set up. But pretty much everyone else is using these companies. You can see am I getting hit by many of them. I open my e mail yesterday and saw 46 Inbox and 35 Spam. It really is sad that they are using these companies, there is no personal contact. Only if you get selected.
He knows what job is out there for me.

Really nice car wash.

A couple of days ago, as Roy and I were out driving around. He was thinking, boy this car really can use a wash job. So we pulled into the self serve side. All the foam brushes were out of order. So he pulled it around the other side and went through the mechanical side. There was a guy there, he name is Daniel. He has been working there for over four years. I was asking him about a job? He told me that just last week he had to let a guy go. The reason is when they are busy, they do over 110 cars a day. They have only been washing like 60 to 70 a day. So the work is not there. Roy is a generous guy and gave him a 5 dollar tip. I thinking wow, if I could get a job here and make say 1 dollar each car times 70. That would be nice money. But like Daniel said not enough to keep two guys now.
Oh well, I am still looking and my Lord knows what I need.
It is sad thou, I have been filling out applications on line and pretty much each employer is using a hiring company now. So you really don't even get a chance to talk with any one.
I have not given up YET.

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
