Okay, who are all these people?

On Thursday afternoon. I was invited to go out with some of the folks from the church called the Crossing. The reason was this evening there are 8 young ladies going on a women's retreat farther south in North Palm Beach area. This is called Gold Coast Via De Cristo (VDC). It has been around for many years and it is part of ministry that starts on Thursday evening and ends on Sunday afternoon.

We met at this place called PA BBQ. I have just started getting plugged back into VDC. As I have been gone for many years. Last month there was the Men's weekend. This one is for the wives and young ladies. As I was sitting there with Pastor Craig and others I got a chance to hear about how and what is going on in his church. Plus I was offered a job to drive his thrift box truck. It is working around 15+ hours a week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I told him I would pray about it and see what happens.
I am not sure I really want to lift furniture and appliances every other day?
But I would get a pretty good pay rate and it would be steady.

This was driving west towards 95 on Port Saint Luice West Blvd. It really was very pretty.
Plus looking on and just thinking about how blessed I am each and everyday.
Folks we all need to Praise Him and thank Him for the time we have on this earth.
As I live in a senor's community, I see the EMTs trucks in here almost two or three times a week. So I know life is very short and we need to just live today for we don't know how long we really have????
Praise HIM.

Thank you Walter for such a beautiful way of looking towards our FUTURE.

A very deep and moving image of Christ at a funeral parlor. What a send off for the whose funeral is being celebrated and for the mourners who are left behind.

Art often speaks to our very souls.
What a beautiful way to describe death and life ever after!
                                                    Awesome piece of sculpture!!
Be sure to read below the picture.

Notice how the old woman is gazing back at the life that she is leaving...then passes through the veil of death into the open arms of the Savior.

The "Come Unto Me" bronze sculpture took more than a year

to make its first appearance.

Unveiled in 2000, the original life-sized bronze monument stands

in the grand foyer of the Spilsbury Mortuary in St. George,Utah.

It has become a scenic attraction, in addition to a comfort to countless families at a most tender time of their lives.

It portrays the spiritual journey from mortality to immortality:
an aged woman's body, returning to its prime, and back to the arms of our Savior.

Death is not the end. We all have an eternal destiny, as "Come Unto Me" portrays.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16    (KJV)

Wednesday night coming back home.

This is the door Roy and I repaired just before the hurricane. Not looking to good now?

While driving back to my house. I saw this door laying on Mike's front lawn. I stopped and he came out and we talked a little and asked about the doors laying there. He told me one was 32" wide and the the other was 36" I need a 36" door for a lady (Sue) in the park. Right after the hurricane last month, Her back shed door, flew off and was destroyed. So I have been keeping my eyes open to fine one. I went shopping at Home Depot and Lowes. The cheapest was $144.99. She told me it was not worth buying. So I was thinking what do we have to loose? Threw it in the back of my truck and let us see what happens?

Need to cut about 1" off the one side. We did and then used a chisel to clear out where the hings are needed to be. Found out afterwards, the only thing is foam behind the wood. Nothing to hold the hings in with. So Roy said let us make her plywood door. So was talked it over with her and she said go ahead.

Roy and I went to Lowes and bought a T111 plywood. This is siding for your house. Thinking it is some what treated and should last for many years. I remember back in Bahamas, I my house (Camp Office) was made out of T 111. I had to replace some pieces, cause water damage, leaking roof.

This is Sue, you can see how excited she is? She said it is a door. I was very happy it is working well and will be back to paint it next week. She told us that she has the light brown paint in the other shed.

I was tickled pink to see how nice it came out. All we did was frame it with fern strips. and put the old door frame back on where the hings go. It really looks great to me. The reason is I have been looking and looking for a door for the last month or so. It works great and she is happy.

It is Tuesday already.

Well this is our annual Dart Club meeting. We are starting another new season with darts. I have been part of darts since I moved in. I was on the Summer league, last yeast Summer. Then the Snow birds started coming back. So they had the annual meeting last year at this time. I was told I could be a sub. That means if they need a player on Tuesday night, they give me a call. Well what happen was I was working at Winn-Dixie during that time. I got called in for work almost every Tuesday night. so I asked for my name to be removed from the list.
Well another season is starting up. This year they added another team. So I will be on the #16 team.
That sounds great.

After wards some of us stayed and played a couple of games. Well our team was just getting use to the boards and one of them never shot a darts before. This is Linda, she really is pretty good shot. But she is a sub. I kinda wish she was on our team. So we kept on helping the other lady that is part of out team and just practiced.
The real season starts on Oct 31st. That correct Halloween Night. Oh well I will be there.
I need to practice many more times before then.
Hey these folks take this very serious.
I really hope I can be a help.
It is by His grace and that is all, there is to say.
Thank you Lord for the opportunity.

On Monday night I got a call around 8:30 pm.

I was at the Men's Bible study on Monday evening. I received a call and I text them back. Clair called me back and told me that she doesn't know how to text. So she started out telling me that her water heater is leaking. So the study was pretty much over. I drove back home and stopped at her house. You can hear the water rushing out. So I turned her water off for the night. She told me that would be okay.

On Tuesday morning I drove back over to her home and turned the water back on. You can see the old repair cracked open. I am not sure what and why they did this repair like that?

I cut the old one out and drove to Lowes. I looked and looked for the correct parts. I started to get confused. I walked around and asking Him to help me. I got the correct parts and got back to Clair's home.

I believe it is as good as it can be. I even put some wire ties around it to keep it holding in place.

That was the easy part. Now what do I do with all the water. I was thinking maybe a shop vac. Then looking how thick the carpet is and hold much. I asked her if it would be okay to pull it all up and throw it away?
I am thinking of mold starting up. So, like I said this was the big project.

What they did before was just piece carpet together and laid it down. It was not glued. But it was heavy stuff. I cut runners in about 20" wide. It worked out pretty good.Still heavy, full of water each piece.

This desk setting there soaked up some of the water and it is shot too.

I was trying to take a picture of all the water coming out as I rolled it up.

At the end it came out pretty good. I just used a push broom and I was very happy. Clair came out and looked around and she was happy too. I did open the windows and doors to get a breeze thru the Florida room.

Folks these weigh about 40 pounds each. Prayerfully by Thursday they will be some what dried out and the trash guys will pick them up and everyone will be in their happy spot.
I am so blessed to be able to help out my neighbors and just knowing she will be okay.
Like I say each time, I even get a little money to help me out.
Praise Him and thank Him each and everyday we have breath.
I saw Clair Wednesday night at the club house and she told me the Florida room was all dried out and looking good. Thank you Lord for these blessings.

Last week I was telling you about all the branches and limbs laying around the park here.

The guy was going around and cleaning them all up on Sunday. It really does look a lot better around here now.

Hey the pile is gone where Roy and I put the cactus.

This is Richie and Roy. Richie got this vanity a four weeks ago or so. Now he needs to cut down a little bit on the sides and back.

It cut pretty easily. It sure was a dirty job. The marble (want a be) is made up with dust of marble and glue. That is what Richie told me. It is called Cultures Mable.
Hey I think it came out good and even looks straight.

Well around 2:30 pm Roy and I finished up Michelle's move.

I told the ladies on Friday afternoon I would stop by and help break down things. So I got there and the place was pretty  much empty. I was told on Sunday that everyone came out earlier in the day. So at 3 pm the party was some what over.

I walked around and talked with the vendor;s and asked how their day went? Some said not bad, but a couple of them were disappointed about their sales.
Hey all that matters is Our Lord used this place to help raises some funds. I was told by a friend of mine she, the place was rocking earlier and they even had cakes and cooks for sale and they did well.

This was a highlight for some of the kids. They pile into this trailer and got a ride around the back area of the church. I even saw some grown ups on there too.
At 3:30 or so, we started breaking things down. I left there around 4:30 and all was done.
I worked along a young lady named Robin and she was telling me how she has two young girls that she adopted them. It is a sad but neat story and as I look on, I am very happy for her .
As my night came upon me, I went to the club house and played some cards with friends, afterwards I made a fool of myself by trying to fit a relationship I have been part on for awhile now.
I have many issues I am trying to work on. But at the end I show my foolish.
I talked about this yesterday's blog, how much and what I am dealing with.
I still have many things going on and I just get worked up and don't walk away and say Lord help me. I try and try to fit it.
I asked for prayer about my pride and my selfishness.
I know He has a plan, I just like to push it.

Roy and I had a chance to help one of our neighbors in the park here.

On Saturday morning we went and got a U Haul 15 foot truck. I was thinking maybe we will get everything in???

You walk in and this is her house. There is junk and garbage laying every where. As I walked around, I just can see this turning out to be a real big job.

This was her kitchen.

We really didn't take that much out of here. She really just wanted tables and chairs and bed set and some other stuff.

This is walking from the back room thru the living room.

This is the Florida Room. We took a couple of items out of here. The screen and a baker rack

We got pretty much everything she wanted into the truck. It was God Grace and our prayers that made this happen.
As I drove the truck to the storage shed. I was thanking Him over and over again for letting this run pretty smooth. Plus we even made some money too.
Then as we pull up to the storage shed. We see she has already put some stuff in there. But as Roy and kept checking to see the best way to lay all this up inside of there. It all fit.
Praise HIM thru all we do. It really is hard to praise Him, somedays. But at the end it really all depends on what He wants to bring glory to His name.
I know I talk a lot about God, just to give you a heads up. I am not always depending on Him. I try so hard to make things happen in my own personal life. So I am not even close in saying all is well. I need prayer just like each and everyone of us each day. Thank you for checking out my blog and I really hope and pray this gives you a new way of looking at life thru His eyes.
I will keep plugging along and asking for His help. I pray you are doing the same thing.

On Saturday we flew back home. Sept. 5thn 2026

Okay I got up early and took a drive. I went to Dunkin Donuts for 6 donuts and a couple of coffees. Oh, I got a couple of items for Billy. B...
