It is so neat to look back and see that we are celebrating 235 years as a free country. Yes we have been free for 235 years. I look to this country (Bahamas) and say, they have only had theirs since 1973. That is only 38 years. I know USA has done so much since we have had ours, freedom. I can see how it started out. It must have been a rough road for most of those years. Like here, I see in this last year or so. The government has been trying to improve the water, electric and roads. They pretty much have torn up every main road here. But in the next 6 months or so. We will have new stuff. I really am looking forward in see that. If you have ever been here you know what I am talking about. I know the Bahamian people are getting more up set everyday. The reason is, which road is closed today? But in the end we will be so thankful.
Hey people that are close to my age (59) Do you remember what you were doing on the 4th of July in 1976? I sure do. I was married to a wonderful woman (Cheryl) We watch the fire works go off from our apartment in Cleveland, Ohio. Plus watched them on TV from New York City. Before that time I remember talking with room mates I was living with in Mich. They were telling me that during 1976 4th they would be in Philadelphia Pa. That was the place to be at. Where all this started 1776.
Okay enough looking back. Now today we can say we have been free for those 235 years. Thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ. Remember this country was based on His WORD and we should be proud of that today.
