The guys on the right of Mark are, Sean, Joe and Jerad. They flew over here to get things going. During the first part of the new year. Calvary Chapel's 8th graders will be coming over here for 5 days. That right, it will be two different groups. The reason is there are over 130 students in 8th grade there. So half will be here during the middle of January 2014. The the next group will be here during the month of February the same year. Like I said, 130 students plus the teachers and leaders. It would be very hard to make this happen. So I guess Calvary has two spring breaks during the Jan and Feb.
Like I said their main reason to come here now, is to hook up with the different teacher at different schools here. They will be coming into the schools and doing different projects. You know like skits and giving things away. balloons, and singing, plus. I really have been not part of their time here. I picked them up and dropped them off atthe airport. Tim Seeley will be the over seer of the Camp during their time here, so Mark Eric and him will be doing most of the planing and setting things up.
If you look at the white board you can see some of their plans. It really is neat to be part of a big church as Calvary is, just for this reason, over a 160 people will be coming over here to share and help out too. I know they plan on going to The All Saints too. Not sure what they will be doing, but I know they will have a great time while here.
I ask for prayer for their time here. Couple of years ago, most of the students got sick. You know throwing up and just feeling bad, I was one of them myself. But as duty calls I was the one of the bus drivers. So I was still doing what had to be done. Remember I was the Camp guy then too.
Over the last couple of years, Mark Wallace has stepped in and really been a blessing for them and me. He sets the appointments up and even helped out with what ever was needed. During my time here I have been the Camp guy on and off,over 5 times. You know people come and go. We have had 5 directors since I have been here. They come in and try it out and then find out they don't believe they were called to do this job. So I would step up and say okay, it is mine again.
Now we have a whole family doing it, I have written about them before. Tim.Mindy,Zac an Loggin Seeley. They have come aboard and now it is their time to do their ting. They were visiting family a little while. They got back last night. So now they will be part of all the planing and making sure that the periods are dotted and really to go. It really is neat to see how our Lord bring people here to do His will. Please keep them in your prayers too, this next year is suppose to be the most busy one ever. That is what Tim has been working on. Trying to drum up business. When they were here before Thanksgiving , he was in his office sending e mails and just trying his hardness to try to fill this camp this next year. I am blessed to have them here. Doing both jobs. I really didn't get the chance to do the marketing and sit down to pull people back to here. I look forward in seeing what happens this next year.
