I sure can tell you this, they built these walls to stay up during a hurricane. Look at all the staples they used on one wall.
Okay now this is where I really get thinking about these small little nails I need to hammer into hold up the paneling. The first couple when in okay. Then after that it was all down hill. I said to myself, WHY not use SCREWS.
Which you can see I did. Plus I used Hard As Nails, caulk behind the paneling too. Thinking the screw will be covered up with paint. Not that easy after started painting.
I got the first panel up. I did make a mistake. Look in the right hand corner. I was thinking the stud was at the right side of the paneling. NOT. Oh well that will be covered up with the vanity.
I am not sure if I explained to you about this table. I got it from a couple that lives back in Deerfeild Beach. They gave me the table and four nice chairs too. I have been using this for my work bench on big things. Thank you Donna and Denis, It sure was a gift that God knew I needed.
Hey who ever thought of Snap line is my friend. When you are working by your self and trying to measure something. This is the cat's meow.
Paneling #2.
All paneling is up and ready to get painted.
The surface is pretty smooth, so I am roughing it up a little to make sure the paint sticks.
This was the color before I started painting. I don't think I shared with you what happen a couple of days ago. I went to Lowe's and bought the paneling and a gallon of paint. Okay it started to rain out and I was driving with the paneling in back of the truck. Well I pulled over to put the tarp on thinking the paint will hold it down better. I had the paint in my hand and open my door and it fell out of my hands. On to the road. I lost half of it. Thinking Lord WHY?????? This cost $29.99.
Okay I saved what I could and drove home, No a happy camper.
So the sad part was yesterday I needed more paint. I went to Lowe's and got the cheaper one. Thinking I have it primed now. The green was still coming through.
Now remember me telling you about the small nails. Okay now thinking, Why not drive a small hole and put the nail into there? Wella. It worked. So I drilled and hammered. Hey I should wish I thought of that earlier. Oh well it worked and I took the screws out that you will see and nailed the panels in. MUCH EASIER.
