All these students are from Nassau, Bahamas. They flew in on Friday afternoon. They are here to take part of International Soccer Tournament. It is so good how our Lord makes things happen. The reason I say that is I am only hour ride away and I drove down to PGA Blvd. and went to pick up my old friend Tim. He stayed with me me during week-end. Shallow, his son, stayed with the team. Hey the place they were staying was called the Double Tree. It looked like a beautiful place.
My old friends from Nassau, Bahamas. This is Shadow and his dad Tim. So I drove down on Friday and picked Tim up and took him back to my place. There we sat around and got some what caught up. Then went to the the car rental place in Fort Pierce and picked up his rental. This way as I am working he can come and go where ever he needs to. So Saturday we got up and drove south to exit #101. Sorry don't remember the name of the road. But got to the field and the students were already out there warming up.
I know I need a zoom lens. It okay for me. If you look the guy in the orange uniform is Shadow, as goalie. He blocked, I think three (3) shots. But as the game went on the team was not up for the challenge. As the game started out, Nassau was up by 2 scores (points). But after the half the team didn't have enough push to finish well. The final was Nassau 2 and the other team 4. Oh well it is not a life changing event. It is only opportunity to show who is the better team.
The shaking of hands, I think shows the respect of each team mate.
As for Sunday I had to work. So Tim drove down and sent the morning with his son and his mom and sister came over to watch the game. They drove from Winter Haven. It was a two (2) and half hour ride. But they had a wonderful time just hanging out and enjoying the the time together.
So on Monday I had a chance to go on back and watch their last game. Plus Tim and I did a little more shopping. Then I dropped him off at the hotel and said out good byes.
I am very blessed to call these guys my family and just love seeing them and spending time together. But as all good things have to come to a end, so out time did too.
As for the rest of my day was a little more work.
Captain Bruce will be sailing in this after noon. So my friends will be on their way to the airport in Fort Lauderdale. We really were hoping to be able to load my truck before they left. But it just didn't work out that way. NO BIGGIE. So I will have to load my truck and take it down to the dock that night.Hey is all worked out great and I will share tomorrow or Saturday those pictures.
