I got a text from a old friend back in Nassau. He was telling me that him and his family are on town for a couple of hours. So he picked the place an Don, Meg and I drove over there and sat around for a hour or so. The reason was I didn't get billy's last text, while I was driving. It said that they needed to go shopping and we can meet at Steak and Shake at 12? Well my first text with him was meeting them at 11am? Oh well so we sat around and just enjoyed each other company.
Well they showed up and we sat with them while they ate.
This is Billy Slater and Don. I have talked about him and his family many times before,while staying in Nassau. Well they came in the night before to spend time with Eddy. I have talked about Eddy before too. He lives in Vero Beach area. They visited him and then went shopping and now they are here with us.
As we sat and talked to get some what caught up on their lives and mine. It really was good to see them. So as sitting there, Billy went out to his rental car and got a album of Josh and his new wife.
Josh was one of the folks that lived with Billy and his family for many years. Billy was like raising him as his own son.
But now Josh is grown up and has himself a bride. They live in England and Josh is doing great. He is trying to get his work permit so he can work over there and just loving life there now.
Well we left and just drove around a little more. Then home.
This is us sitting around the pool and just hanging out. The water was great, after you jumped in and came out and jumped in again. Swam around a little and then headed back to the house.
Then I cooked up some chicken, corn and beans. It really tasted good, but I found out Don doesn't usually eat dark meat. But he told it was okay.
Hey was a another beautiful day and just great to spend some time.
