This is Mark and Aaron they both are missionaries here to service our Lord, plus the Bahamas kids.
As Mark and I walk around, he was telling me about how our neighbors are cutting into the back 19 acres ALC has a 99 year lease on. But the board walk and tower are in good shape and ready for the children to come back and be taught about the wet lands.
When I first came here is in 2005. There was a board walk all the way around that island and back to the tower. But hurricane Matthew came a couple of years ago and push the board walk inland. Which destroyed it. I am not sure who came and rebuilt the one that is here now. I think it was a contractor and he did a very nice job.
I see he put cement in pails and anchored them down now. Before they were floating on the water and that is why they came into the land and was destroyed.
These are the school buses they use to go get the children from the schools and bring them back here. So the staff can teach and share about God's love and creation.
Here they are working on the Christmas lights ready to have a Christmas drive thru and walk around starting this Saturday night.
This is looking good. Adam gave this truck to ALC many years ago and last time I saw it was in rough shape. Now looking good.
Yes this is the old train. It is still up and running, by God's grace and folks that love it and want it to keep running too.
It really is neat to see God's hand here and how He keeps things going.
This is the puppet stage we built a few years ago. It is all set with Christmas light now and ready for the children to enjoy.
This is the staff room. These rooms are used to different things.
This is the kitchen. Every child that comes thru the gate get a lunch.
Hey guys just hanging out and seeing what is going on.
Dinning hall at the Camp. Looking good.
This the front of the dinning hall. The next couple of days we will be building a deck on the front here.
This was my bedroom when I lived here. Now it is a office and looking really nice now.
Mark and Nash are looking for a snake that was in the rocks there.
These are the cabins that the ALC use for missionaries the stay and help out on the island.
Over all this place looks great and I am very proud to say I have been part of this place for over 13 years.
