Winding my time down here in the Bahamas.

Here is another beautiful sunrise. So it must be another day. PLUS.

The poor doggies have to stay in here while the folks working on the kitchen cabinets are here.
Bahamians really not to happy being around a bunch of dogs plus Buster is a large dog.too.
I guess the dogs are okay there, with the girls treating them like little babies.

These are are Billy and Tim. We are all working on the vans. Changing oil and filters and what ever is needed to get them up to date.

Today these folks are putting in the counters. So looking good.

Came out and the one van would not start. Funny thing was all we did was clean the terminals on the battery. Then sprayed some paint  on top to protect them.
All is well again.

Billy and I had to stop off at the ALC to drop something off. Here is Kevin painting on the trash cans for the Christmas Walk Thur.
Looking good kid.

Just stopped by Super Valve for some items (food)  This is just one item I checked the price on.

As we were walking out to the van. The Rat Man stopped by to ask if we need any rat poison.
I was telling him you would never see anyone in the states selling rat poison on the street.
I might be wrong after I am saying it.
Maybe there are?

Got back and just checking the guys work. If you look closely he put the plywood down and then the sink and then the counter top ON TOP. So if Billy or who ever wants to change the sink out. They will have to take the counter top off first.
I found the clips to use to anchor the sink in afterwards in a small bag on the window sill.
Oh WELL.

It must be another day, sunrise.
I am thinking it is Saturday Dec 8. The reason is you will see near the end that Monty came to pick me up and we hung out.

Well someone dropped off this Christmas tree the kids are trying to figure out how it goes together.

They did well. It was all up and ready for a sale. Not sure what Billy got for it. He was asking $200.00. Which I thought wow that is a lot for a used tree plus a couple of branches were missing.
Hey you are in the Bahamas.

Monty came and got me and he even walked around and bought a couple of shirts, too. Not sure how his wife will say about them.
We stopped and got gas. It is some what crazy on how much the folks here in the Bahamas have to pay for gas. $4.85 a gal. .

Now we needed to stop by the Paint Place in Sandy Port.
Now look at these prices for paint and stuff.

This is the paint we use at the ALC.
next time you go to Home Depot or Lowes. Praise the Lord for their prices here.

It sure is a busy time for Bahamians. During Christmas everyone loves to paint their homes in and out. So it looks great for family and friends.
Hey we do Spring cleaning and that is when we paint.

This is Benjamin. He runs this stack and makes some great Conch Salad.

This had everything in it. Fruit and everything. It was so GOOOOOOD.
The cost was a little high, but it was worth it. $16.00 for one.
I got two meals out of it.

This area is called Arawak Cay. (Fish Fry) All along here are restaurants and bars. I think many years ago these were folks homes and they switched them in restaurants.
The web sites calls them vendors. .

I am not sure when but this is one of the three wash rooms on the property there. there are no restrooms in any of the restaurants.

As we stop by Monty's home. I see this tag on someone electric box. I wrote about how they are many folks on this island and others without electricity. Here is one of them. Bill is $407.62. Man I know I could not afford that bill myself here in Florida.
My avg is $71.00 I pay the budget plan.

Monty gave me a ride back to Billy's home. I showed him around and we took a couple of pictures. It was so nice of Monty to take the time to hang out an get some what caught up on what he has been dealing with and all.
It is so nice to be able to say I have family here in the Bahamas.
I am blessed and loving it.

It really neat to watch our new school being built right here on the same property that the old school is standing.

This was the first part of putting up the walls (Oct. 29th) at our NEW WESTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL. Our Principal, Mr. Alfonso tells us that all of...
