Working on a project for my friend Jeanne.

Jeanne bought this house about 3 years ago. Thinking she would like to fix it up and move in here. But she would like cathedral ceilings. So above this ceiling here. There is two roofs. The a frame above and the flat roof you are looking at.

This is the flat roof above the ceiling. So we need to clean up the tar and rock and then cut the ceiling out.

The first couple days were a bear. Just trying to figure out how to get the tar roof off before I cut the boards. The reason I say this is. I just tried to cut the boards out and the saw zaw blade got filled up with tar an the blade would not cut any more. So I got some gas and put the blades in that to clean them up. That worked pretty good. But really was messy. The tar paper and stones and tar was very dirty and dusted.

After cutting some of the boards out. I got on top of the boards and just scarped the tar paper and stone up into pieces and dropped them thru the openings. .

I worked on this for four or five days and then Jeanne had the week-end off. So we worked together and it went well. She scraped and I cut the boards out.

It was a messy and dirty job. But after ten to fifteen days it was all cut out. I think that is how long it took?
But at the end it was done. Now we can get the dumpster and load it up.
The reason we waited on the dumpster, not sure about how long it would take to get it done.
So for three days I cleaned it all up.
I have been very busy doing this project and others around the park too. So that is why I have not been blogging.
So I will try to get caught up to date and see what happens.
It really has been a blessing for me to help her out an make some money to.
Over all it is a joy to be with her and able to help make her dreams come true.
