Have some great yard guys.

Okay now we are here more than the other house (2709) Had a opportunity to meet the yard guys. I am not sure for how long these guys have been cutting this lawn? But all I know is, it took them only 30 minutes to cut and trim it. 

As Jeanne was looking out and watching them, she came out and asked them if they would pull out the weeds in the flower beds? Sure we can, $20.00. Great, they did a okay job, there was a lot of weeds and other things growing in there that were not flower or plants. 

At the end we were both very happy to give them a little more for their helping us out. $40.00.

Okay now the question is will they keep cutting this lawn for $85.00 a month or not. Jeanne got a price from the guy we have at 2709, Billy. He told her it would be $150.00 a month to cut and trim this yard. 

Oh well, the guys told me they will still only charge us $85.00 month. 

Praise The LORD. 

Plus they do get the job done and looks great at the end. 

 

I tried to be on top of things.

Last Monday I tried to set up our cable for the new house (3302). I talked to them and they sent a guy (Mike?) out. I talked to him and to see how it was going? He told me all is well on the house. BUT the line going across the road (Sunrise Blvd) was knocked down or cut some how. 

I asked him what will happen next? He said would have a bucket truck come out and run a new line across the street. Great I said. I told him we would be moving in this week-end 9/19 -20/2020.

he told me okay, the truck might be out, the day mike was working there or next? 

Okay looking forward getting the inter net here now. 

Now the problems start. No one came out on Tuesday. So I called the company. You have a order in for a repair? Correct. Okay yesterday 9/24/2020 After I called ad least seven or more times to get this fixed. I other guy came out Kevin. He asked what can he do for me? I showed him the down wire and told him I have been asking for a bucket truck for a week and half. 

He tells me that not sure when that will happen? 

Mean while Mat calls me back from Comcast. Asking how is it going? I told him it is not. I handed the phone to Kevin and they talked. He hands the phone back and told me he would try to get someone out today or tomorrow. Okay sounds okay. About half hour later a bucket truck shows up and they got the wire across the street and told me I was up and running. 

I called Comcast and was on line for 45 minutes .She told me I should be on. I tried it on my phone, but just not sure if it is up or not??   We didn't get back home (2709) until almost 9 pm.  I will be bring my laptop over there today and prayerfully it will work????? PLEASE LORD.

 

Okay today is Thursday. Still have many items to move. BUT really no rush.

On Monday morning I started moving tings from our old house to our new home. This was my first load. 

This was my second load and from Monday to today I have been moving items over to the new home. 

Okay Jeanne has been helping too. After she off of work, she is right along side me. For example, we have moved two refrigerators. Then one freezer. Hey kids we are not as young as we use to be. They all were very heavy and full of food. The only tings we took out was the bottles and jars. All the the rest stayed in them and we made it happen.  That was Monday, Tuesday evenings. Then yesterday I started moving desks and book case. Oh I have almost all of my tools moved over there too. 

Just thinking WOW we have done a lot. But we are not finished yet. 

Hey we took a break last night on the moving of items. The sad part was my little girl fell at the school. She was on her way to meet another teacher and tripped. The walk way has pavers. There was one paver missing. A couple of the teachers saw what happen and came to help her up. 

There is no reason to have a missing paver in a walkway. 

She is doing better, but we went out to dinner at our favorite restaurant for HAMBURIES. That correct. Hey on Wednesday evening at 4pm until closing $5.50 burgers and side. We ate and came home and she is bruised pretty bad. She is going to stay home today and heal up and just prayerfully stop hurting. 

The sad part was I have been thinking this could be a lawsuit and make some money. 

Oh all I ask is that she feels better and all will work out. 

We know and I know you know WHO IS IN CONTROL. 

That is correct my Lord and savor Jesus Christ. 

 

 

I was thinking I was getting a FREE FREEZER.

Okay we are starting our moving time. Hey about three or four weeks ago. I was taking down shutters at a neighbor's house. I saw the freezer in the store room. Seeing it was not plugged in, asked are you going to use this freezer? She told me not really. Would I like it? Sure would. Jeanne and I have talked about buying a small freezer for her bait that we freezer and use when we going out on the boat. 

Thinking GREAT, FREE. I bought it home and cleaned it up and even painted it. 

Okay looks better good now? Never thought about testing it.  

Loaded it up on the trailer and took it over to the new house. Monday, we plugged it in and it doesn't even hummmmmmm. The light is on but nothing it happening. I even let it sit plugged in for about a hour. NOTHING HAPPENING. 

I picked it up with the two wheel dolly and took it to the road side for garbage pick up. 

Oh well I guess we really didn't need it anyway. 

Okay the moving has started.

All I ask is, LORD IS HELP US. do it safely and let us have some fun too. 

  

 

I have a small project to get done. On Saturday.

This is the shed in the middle of three sheds. This one really needs some loving. Hey Jeanne was telling me that, Bubba (husband)  and her just through down plywood on the floor to make useable. 

As I start cleaning I found the old plywood. Thinking okay now what should I do??? 

I cleaned up all the dirt and what ever there was on top. I ran over to Home Depot and spent around $180.00 on lumber. Three sheets of 5/8 plywood and 2/4/10 (Pressure treated) 9 pieces. 

Okay I started out next to the door way. tying them into the old flooring. 

16" centers. I laid the boards flat Thinking I don't want to rise the floor at all. The reason tipping problems. Remember this is my work room. 

I am getting older and hopefully wiser. 

The neat thing was while I was doing this. The roofers were working on our roof. 

I got the floor down and ready to be painted. We were thinking we didn't buy PT plywood, better treat it with something. Just in case the roof leaks. 

All sealed in and need to wait on dry time and starting on Monday I will move my tools and things like that in here. I will need to run electric out here too. So I can have some lights and maybe a fan to run while in here? That will be down the road. we have some much to get done before we can move all our things into the house. 

I am getting excited about getting some what settled. 

Hey folks I am not sure about you, but thinking, when you retire, aren't you suppose to down size???

Hey I know WHO in control HERE.

Roof repairs have been done and prayerfully, CORRECTLY. PRAISE HIM.

Good day, hey I was telling you about painting the inside of the house. Then it rained hard??? 

Okay, so I got like five estimates last week. They ranged from replacing the roof to a the repairs. The first one was a guy telling me that, there is more damage then just a few leaks. The ridge cap was put on with the wrong nails. I went up afterwards and found it has screws in it???

I am not sure what he was looking at?? But these are screws made for sheet metal roofing. I have put that kind of roof up before. Then I did ask about just the leaks. Okay I will give you a estimate on that, BUT you really need a NEW ROOF. Then he was telling me about a nice medal roof, It would cost like $15,000. Okay folks we just bought this house and we don't have $15,000. to replace the roof. 

I got his estimate in the mail and all it was was a NEW ROOF COST. Why don't people listen?

Okay this is the problem child. So the estimates from $750.00 to $1,300.00. The guy that gave me a bid told me that he knows someone that might do it on the side? 

Thinking why not ask him? He was the $750. He came out and I felt very comfortable with him and he was a older guy. Praying he knows how to do it? 

So he and his son came out and did the work. 

I asked if they could tar the seem? They pulled the old atr ff and put a roll of tape and tar over it. 

So by His grace I pray it works. He did explain that there was a repair before on the (one) same leak. They just pulled the singles up and put a piece of medal on top. 

So the son pulled up the singles and replaced it with a 3/4 board (tongue groove) and he told me it should do the job. 

Okay Lord now lets us see if we made the right choice? 

 

Okay last week-end we had some helpers.

Jeanne and I talked about having the whole (inside) of the house painted. So we talked with a friend Julian. he was telling us about this young man, Andy. How he painted the bathroom and their bedroom. Andy did a wonderful job and very neat too. 

So Jeanne called him the week before and he came out and gave us a price, thinking for all the work that is needed, no bad at all. Do it. 

So they started out with the spraying the ceilings. 

Take a look at how it made a difference. WOW. 

I didn't take a picture of all the rooms yet. The reason is they were still working on them during my time of picture taking. 

Okay they finished up and we found out we have a couple of roof leaks??? 

Okay I guess we need to have some roof work done too. 

Oh well the paint job looks great except for the roof leak. Andy told us, he would come back after the roof was repaired. Great to hear that. Knowing he is a man of his word. 

This is Andrew and Andy. So we are looking forward in getting the roof repaired and moving in. 

PRAISE HIM ALL DAY LONG. Remember it is Sunday and we all need to be talking to Him and praying for our PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. 

WE REALLY DO NEED HIS HELP ON THIS. 

 

I have been blessed.

The neat thing there was very few cuts for waste. The room was rectangle and very happy to see it down. 

Folks I have done a few floors, I don't think I have ever had less cuts than this one. 

As Jeanne and I keep thinking about improvements I just know it is worth the work and we will have a beautiful home. 
I look on and say Thank You Lord for all that we have and get to use now. Jeanne has saved dishes and egg plates and all kinds of items. So now she can display them and have enough room to do it right.  

 

First big project to do. Laundry Room flooring.

Pulled everything out and drained the water heater. 

I was at Lowes and saw some flooring on sale or clearance. Great price, I was thinking it was $27.58 a box? I texted Jeanne and she said okay. So I got to the register. Found out it was not $27.58 BUT $35.53 a box. I Texted Jeanne back and she asked if we don't like it, can we bring it back? The cashier said no problem at all just have the receipt. I brought it home and she likes it. That is all I need to know. 

On Tuesday I started putting it down. It took me about 3 hours in total.  

I like it. Now the only question is, DOES SHE??? 

Jeanne told me it looks great and she likes it very much. 

Okay folks, need to start another project. maybe the sheds?

Okay now I need to switch the FPL Florida Light and Power Company

I have to put the electric into my name. I went on line and found this location. Thinking I will drive out and take care of it person to person?   

I pulled up to here, (Google Maps) Thinking what in the wold is this place?? Okay I am game. 

Here is the sign with the address on it. This must be the spot??? 

I knocked on the door and a young man walked out and ask, what can I do for you? I told him and wanted to switch names on my FPL? 

He told me sorry, but this is not the office to do that. He told me I would need to drive down to Martin Country. OR you can do it on line??? 

Okay thank you for the inform. Now let me tell you why I drove out here. I explained about Google.

 He just laughed. Hey it was a nice ride. I have not been down this area yet. 

Okay I got home and got it all worked out and now it is fixed.
