This is what happen this last week.

Okay, this is Tuesday morning. Jon Bunch and I had breakfast at a new and old restaurant. I mean is this restaurant I am talking about has been there for many years. It just changed hands about four months ago. So, Jon asked where would you like to go for breakfast? So, as we were talking about it, he asked about the Sacred Grounds Corner Cafe? Well, I have been told that they have some good food. Why not try it? I told him. So, we drove over there and had a great breakfast and just sat there and talked for a hour or so. Just trying to get caught up on all that has been going on in his life.
I have known Jon for over 25 years plus. He is the one that took over my ministry at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I used to oversee the Parking Ministry. That meant, our jobs were to get cars in and out of the parking areas that we have. While I was doing that, we had over 48 volunteers.
Back then we had Wednesday night two church services and Saturday night. Then on Sunday we had three church services. Our ministry was to get cars parked and then after service get them out as soon as possible. The reason was we had another service getting ready to start up. Now since COVID 19 things have changed a lot. Church cut back on services. Now there is only Saturday evening, Then Sunday, I think they still have three services. But the sad part is, they are not coming out like they used to. The seats are only about third full. So,, parking cars is not that big of a deal.
Okay, so back in 2005, I was leaving to go to the Bahamas to oversee The Adventure Learning Centre Camp and the Maintenace department. So, I needed a replacement for that ministry and Jon Bunch came to mind and I asked him if he would like to help me out for a while of so? He told me sure, why not? So ever since then has been the man to oversee it.
Okay Jon has many other things going on in his life. The sad part is, his wife Jan. passed away last March and then his mom passed away month later.
So, as we sat there and tried to get caught up, we had much to talk about. Plus, I was asking a lot about who is where and what has happening?
I can tell you this, I really do miss Calvary very much and all that use to go on there.
Plus, I miss The Bahamas too. I have been very much involved with many things at Calvary, 16 years I was on staff.  Then at the ALC, I was there for 8 years. Crazy how thing keep going on.
Okay, that is enough about all that.

On Wednesday afternoon, Jeanne and I had appointment at Doctor Jones office. He had them take another set of X rays and looking at them, that is my right knee on the left, then right one. The last one it is bent, a little. The doctor looked at them and asked if I had any pains? Not really pains. Just when I sit for while, my knees get stiff. So, it takes me a few minutes to get up and walk around.
So he told me that all is great and if we have any problems to come on back. But today was our final appointment. I shook his hand and thanked him very much for all he did for me.

Okay now this is Thursday morning. We will be feeding around 30 folks. This is the Top 10 Seniors. Plus, family. So, we are making Scrammed eggs, French Toast, bacon, sausage, fruit bowl. Plus had small croissants. Home fries too. I think there was more, but all I know we needed to get the food out by 8am.

Oh, we had Stata (eggs plus) Then Bread pudding.

It was a somewhat good turnout. The sad part is, there was 9 girls and one boy that made the Top 10 Seniors Students of Westwood High School.
I was talking with one of the police officers that oversee the security at the school.
I made a comment about, back in my time of school.1960's I really remember the top students then, were boys. It just was not on the minds of the girls to show their skills, back then.
Maybe this is showing you my age? I am old fashion.
We I believe that everyone enjoyed themselves and we had a little food left over, for the students that helped us put this all together. I had to make more eggs and bacon. But we all got something to eat and it all went well.
Right now, is Saturday morning. I could not sleep. I start thinking about all we have in front of us this day. My mind starts racing and asking, are we ready for today????  So, I got up at 3:45am. My little girl is still sleeping. Maybe until 9am?
I know my baby has it all written down and she believes we are doing well.
Plus, she will ask me, WHO IS REALLY IN CONTROL???
That is Jesus Christ Our KING.
Thank you, Lord for such a Godly woman.
Oh, I didn't tell you what we are doing today.
We are providing appetizers for the Senior Prom this evening.
I will share more with you in the next couple of days.
Please say a prayer or two for us. Looking at about 275 seniors and chaperones.
Prayerfully we will have around 8 students helping us all day long and evening.
Preparing the food and servicing it too.
This last week, most everything it made and just needs to be put on serving platters and Chafers, to keep the food warm.
PRAISE THE LORD FOR ALL HE IS DOING IN OUR LIVES.

Doing a couple of oil and filter changes. FUN TIME!!!!

This is the 2004 Ford F150. This is our truck that we use to pull the boat around, plus I used the truck on last Saturday afternoon, get the rock.
Last week I stopped at T.R. Auto repair. This crew worked on our KIA during that time. While I was there, I asked, how much would they charge to change the oil on our truck? $60.+
So, why spend that kind of money?

WOW that was dirty oil.

Okay now my little truck. It is kind of funny. I used to change my oil, it really seams a lot harder, as I get older. Hey getting down on my knees and crawling along the ground is, no fun.
But, it only cost us $19.00, 5 quarts oil. oil filter $4.98=$24.00+ That is each vehicle.
I can tell you this, it was worth my time doing it. I bounce back the next day. Pains are gone.

Not sure about you? But I am not one to weed.

Well, this rose garden is in our front home. It was Jeanne's mom love to keep these gardens weeded. Back when I was kid, my dad had rose a garden too, in the front yard. My chores around the house were, weeding, cutting the grass and I know there was more. The job I hated the most of all of them,
WAS WEEDING. It just seems like I would get the weeds out and in another couple of weeds there are more.
So, Jeanne's sister is coming to town, May 11th. So, this was her mom's place too. so, we need to make it look as nice as possible. All the weeds are somewhat gone. For the last week or so, I have been trying to talk Jeanne in letting me buy some mulch. It is on sale at Home Depot 5 bags for $10.00.
My baby wants rock instead of the mulch.

On this last Saturday, Jeanne and I went to our favorite place. Florida Falls. They sell all kinds of yard art and fountains and pretty much everything kind of rock, you might want or need.
Okay so we bought yard of 1 1/2 rock. But the rules, at this supplier's is they will only load up 1/2 yard on trucks like ours. Which makes sense. Plus, it would be a lot harder to unload.

I started to unload it with a wheelbarrow. But thought WHY? Just back up into the area you want to unload. Then shovel it off.

I picked up the second half of the load and finished it up on Sunday. I really do like the way it looks and Jeanne is the one that loves it.
So now I have the back yard to do next.
I weeded the larger area yesterday and finished that up today. Tomorrow I will pick up another load for the back yard.
This week is a busy one for us. Yesterday morning was Westwood Administration Breakfast.  Had around 18 people, it went well. Friday morning having what they call the Top Ten Seniors. We are putting on a breakfast for about 30 folks, The seniors and their families. So now I need to get cleaned up and go pick up my little girl and go shopping for that this afternoon. Plus, on Saturday evening we are feeding the Seniors Prom, 275 folks that evening.  So, I know we have been shopping now for a couple of days. Prayerfully this will be our final run.
Plus, like I told you before, Jeanne is still studying to take her math test this next couple of weeks.
So, she has a lot on her plate. Pretty much whatever is on her plate it is on mine too.

Jeanne and I are trying to support our programs at Westwood High School.

This is our Flag Football Girls Team.
They are in the finals.

They did win this game. 20 to 13. But the next game that was on Thursday this last week. They lost 6 to 7. I was not there but, Jeanne sure was. She was telling me that they should have won. The refs were really not fair at all. She told that our team should have had two touchdowns but were taking away, for penalties.
Oh well they gave their best shot.
So, this year has ended, it was sad. But there is only a few Senors on this year's team.

Okay this Friday this last week. There is as Senor Fun Day today. Jeanne and her helpers set up tables and tent and three grills.

We were serving French Fries and pop.

This is Andrew, him and I were deep frying the fries. It started out slow at first. But as the games were coming to a end. We had many customers.

We were only there for about two hours. Then time to break down and put everything back into the truck and bring to home.
It really was nice to have the helping hands and I believe everyone had some fun and ate a lot of French Fries.
Afterwards we cleaned up everything and we got back into the kitchen and had some cleaning up to do. But at the end, we made a few bucks for Jeanne's program and enjoyed working alongside these kids.
Okay this next week is a busy one for Jeanne and crew. Which you know I am part of.
Tuesday we are servicing breakfast for 30 or more school administrators.
Thursday we are servicing breakfast for the top 10 Senors and family.
Then the BIG ONE. We are overseeing the Senor Prom food side). That is Saturday evening. It will be at the 500 Club. Which we went to check out about two weeks ago. Here are some pictures of the site.

While we were there, the gentleman that bought the old Post Office. I think his name was John. But this day they were setting up for a wedding that was happening that next, week-end.
He was telling us some of the history that had happen here many years ago.
It really is a beautiful facility.
So, we are excepting around 275 students and staff. When the time comes, I will be sharing more then.
Okay now I need to get my butt outside and finish my large project I started a week ago. That is weeding and putting down rock in the flower beds and around the trees. I will be sharing more next week.
I really hope this week-end, you have the time to listen to a message about Christ and just enjoying reading your Bible too.
I love you all and please say a Prayer or two for Jeanne she is going to be taking her Math test in a week or so. She had been studying every evening and this last three week-end with all her heart and soul. I was looking at some of the questions she will have on her test, and I told her I am SORRY to say. I don't know anything about Algebra.
I will keep you posted.

I am not sure what people, THINK OR NOT?

This article is about TIPS TO STAY SAFE AROUND ALLIGATORS.
WHAT???
Okay on Feb. 22nd, a older woman (85 years) was walking her dog along the shore of the lake at Fairways Spanish Lakes. While walking I guess alligator saw her small dog and decided to have a snack.

I am not sure what really happened. But I think she was walking along and the alligator saw the small dog and grabbed it and tried to pull it in the water and the older woman (85 old) tried to pull the dog out of the water. But the alligator won. The woman was pulled out in the lake and drowned.
I know it was a sad day, for the park. But now they are all up in arms about, what are you going to do with the alligators? They brought out a crew and started taking the alligators out of the lakes. I am not sure how many or what sizes they were taking.
T.V. station WPEC CBS 12 com was the ones that did a video on what happened.
I tried to download to show you, but would not download.
But I think about this and say, wow why would anyone walk their dog along the lakes? That to me is asking for trouble,
Folks I am sorry to hear that someone got killed because of this. Her family and friends are in our prayers.

I had a opportunity to help out my cousin.

It has been a while since I have trimmed and cleaned out her gutters too.  Oh, the reason I am here now is because Jeanne and her sisters pl...
