Well, this rose garden is in our front home. It was Jeanne's mom love to keep these gardens weeded. Back when I was kid, my dad had rose a garden too, in the front yard. My chores around the house were, weeding, cutting the grass and I know there was more. The job I hated the most of all of them,
WAS WEEDING. It just seems like I would get the weeds out and in another couple of weeds there are more.
So, Jeanne's sister is coming to town, May 11th. So, this was her mom's place too. so, we need to make it look as nice as possible. All the weeds are somewhat gone. For the last week or so, I have been trying to talk Jeanne in letting me buy some mulch. It is on sale at Home Depot 5 bags for $10.00.
My baby wants rock instead of the mulch.
On this last Saturday, Jeanne and I went to our favorite place. Florida Falls. They sell all kinds of yard art and fountains and pretty much everything kind of rock, you might want or need.
Okay so we bought yard of 1 1/2 rock. But the rules, at this supplier's is they will only load up 1/2 yard on trucks like ours. Which makes sense. Plus, it would be a lot harder to unload.
I started to unload it with a wheelbarrow. But thought WHY? Just back up into the area you want to unload. Then shovel it off.
I picked up the second half of the load and finished it up on Sunday. I really do like the way it looks and Jeanne is the one that loves it.
So now I have the back yard to do next.
I weeded the larger area yesterday and finished that up today. Tomorrow I will pick up another load for the back yard.
This week is a busy one for us. Yesterday morning was Westwood Administration Breakfast. Had around 18 people, it went well. Friday morning having what they call the Top Ten Seniors. We are putting on a breakfast for about 30 folks, The seniors and their families. So now I need to get cleaned up and go pick up my little girl and go shopping for that this afternoon. Plus, on Saturday evening we are feeding the Seniors Prom, 275 folks that evening. So, I know we have been shopping now for a couple of days. Prayerfully this will be our final run.
Plus, like I told you before, Jeanne is still studying to take her math test this next couple of weeks.
So, she has a lot on her plate. Pretty much whatever is on her plate it is on mine too.
